Has any used vcm suite for tuning?

Anyone here tune their cars with tuners that use vcm suite? Got a good deal at at motorworld. 700dollars tuned. excluding a box like you get at elite and rdo. They recon I can go from 240kw at the engine to 300-315kws. IM happy with that. That will do me. They reckon also I don't need to do the hasvalves as Im not going to extreme with power. Would this be right? Also putting a airtake too for 1350 and tune. They said if I do any other mods. They can retune it for 150 an hour. Re tuning a whole new exhaust would only take a hour too.

Ok I've just spoken to a mob here in Brisbane that does the tunes for 700 dollars. they use the vcm suite. Yes that's not including a box. I figure why would I need it anyway. or do I need it and is this software good? Aside from 2 mobs saying I need to upgrade the valve. This mob said I didn't need it as Im not going all out. Im happy with300 kw at the engine. I think that would be all Ill be needing I don't think ill be needing anymore. Thoughts on this?.

Ok that's not an option crap to be sourcing it myself. 500 is lot to save. Im glad the 2 outfits got it right with what I needed to do first. WILL be interesting to see how my valves are. hope In most cases some valves are ok to leave lol. Saves me lot of money.

If I had a mob besides ebay to go straight to for parts.And they were reputable. And had exactly what I needed. Id have no problem in purchasing it from there.

@jbjet. Ok so I should look for my own parts? What worries me is that Im so new to mods wi wouldst know where to start or what to get. And you mentioned cutting a hole. I wouldn't touch my car in fear of doing something wrong. Funny out of 3tuners. 2 said if I we're to do mods in stages. first 2 things would have to be valves and tune. Another outfit said air intake and tune. So Im guessing from stock standard car. id be best to do the valves and tune. so you reckon I should buy my own tuner and valves? By the 2 outfits. They quoted me from 2500-2600k fitted valves and tune.

Iwish I could get that all fitted for that price. That would be awesome. I just rang chiptorque gold coast. Their tuning is more expensive than elite and rdo. But they could do a tune and a don't quote me some monster guzzler air take for 2300. Not injectors. Thoughts?

Btw I have a 2003 xr6t. Im thinking of doing tune and whatever else I can this year for 2200 then do more work next year. Or just a tune. will the injections be ok to wait and all? I know I'll have to pay for tune again.

I have a budget of 2k.possibly 2200. I live in Ipswich Brisbane. Been told by elite, 4 k would get me the works tune, injectors etc etc fitted. I would love to do the works but having the funds I could be limited. I have 3k but would love to get some new alloys too. Anyone have any suggestions as to what else I could do with 2200? Besides just a tune? I wouldn't imagine doing any other mods till later in time. Thank you in advance for your replies if anyone does.

Seems like I should be doing the injectors and the intake first before the tune? How much will all that set me back? And yes ex left me with our mortgage, all our bills and ransacked the house. Had to see her casually buy 4 cars while I could only dream of another vehicle. Anyway I have my smile back And you guys are bloody awesome to help a newbie like me. Thank you all.

If tuning gives me a little power and fuel efficiency if be happy with that. if I really need to do other most first then I have to think what to do next.

Hmm I've only got the stock standards. I didn't plan on doing anything else if I did tune it. is it best to do other things before I tune it? Tuning it was all I was gonna do. or should I be doing other stuff first before the tune?
