yip, you are right......she is F%^&%^........ FYI, it wasnt the flex plate, something was wrong with cylinder 6....I just paid for a new engine from a wreckers...$3k (incl spare turbo - hopefully get some cash back for it) expensive....but not much you can do!!....lucky these engines are reasonably cheap!!..

Hey Guys.......sh*t.....last sunday I needed to go literally 2 km up the road so I thought I would just take it easy and the damn thing turned off on me and wont turn on now..... ....before you all bomb me...... I know I am a dummass.....I have been told well and truly by my family....DAMN. I pushed it home as I was literally at the end of our road and its been sitting there a week tryning to figure out someone to trust to take it too..... could a flex plate issue do this?....or do you think the engine has siezed?.....I didn't hear anything abnormal as I had music going..... when I turn it on now it just makes a tick tick tick tick noise, doesnt even sound like it is attempting to turn over, the battery is relatively new, oil level is lowish but okay (Did an oil and filter change about 3 weeks ago) any advise would be appreciated to help me get out of my stupid dumass situation..... :(

thanks guys, I will do more digging.....and let you know if I get stuck.... Question regarding the flex plate.....would it still make noise under load? - thought it doesn't when it has this fault mine does under load.... but it never used to...

Ok, I will record a video with sound and post it up tonight..... yeh I reckon the $600 nothing was rediculous... oil is clean and good, I have been monitoring it very closely, as it drops pretty quickly... car drives fine, possibly not as good as it used except I am sure I have a small boost leakage in the piping...only running 12psi but blew the piping once before and the guys at ford replaced it for me

Hey Guys, just about to be passing on my 2011 XR6T sedan (zf 6 auto), and it has developed this ticking sound which used to only happen when the car wasn't loaded up,(as soon as you added throttle - it would go away)......now it is a really loud clunking noise which follows the RPM of the vehicle.... it has developed over quite a few weeks as no one can tell me what it is (even paid one guy $600 to look - he did nothing other than tell me that he didn't know what it is...F%^&) now I have a focus RS on order...and waiting - but I need to fix this thing before I can sell it...and honestly it is that bad now I wonder how long it will last... the car has really bad oil blow-by issues as well, the oil disappears and goes black straight away - quite likely that the engine has been lacking oil....I have thrashed the crap out of it to be fair.....after a bit of reading I thought at first that the noise could be the flex plate - so I took it in this week to a transmission joint who reckon it isn't the transmission.... any ideas guys?.....noise sounds like it could be coming from the top end or front left.... any help would be appreciated, thanks.

hey, I have a xr6T fg 2011 with lux pack so I have the 19's is it wise to get it lowered?......it would look betta but some people rekon that it is an pain in the ars!!!! and that it will actually not improve the handling but more the opposite!! anyone else done this to their sedan......if there are issues, like some say u can just replace the springs others say it will stuff your shocks....so they need to be replaced.... but I dont want to do it if the standard suspension handles better.....it will look better but just tossing up the idea and thought I would see if anyone else has done this ( I would imagine many have ) and what they think of it and if the recommend it!

Looking at getting a new sedan....... 2011 XR6T with luxy pack 19" rims in silver.....$37000 drive away (6000Ks) auto or 2011 Bogan special redline Commodore 10000 K's 19" rims >.......$38990 drive away manual What do yous reckon?????..............I am more worries about driving performance than fancies..minded towards the XR6T becuase it is easy to get large power gains!!....over the SS any how.....cept the Bogan special Redline has brembos (nice)!!!! which I have heard the xr6t brakes are sh*t!!!
