By the looks of things you would have had a perfect view the whole time, on half throttle.....
-
Now you have the perfect excuse to put on a nice big smoke show gaee. Lovely.
-
I see where gaee is coming from though, its way out of the norm. Yes, its breaking new ground etc, but its out of the norm so it needs something to be referenced against. I have a little inkling that I think I know what dynowog is doing to get these huge numbers, hopefully he replies to my PM.

hehehe, I'm embarassed even when no one is arround when im setting it up, let alone anywhere else.... And yeah, I know, chicks think its awesome. They love the alarm talk. "so, hows your immobiliser?"

If you know you are going to be towing, whether it be 1600 or only 500, if it was my money I wouldn't ever use a Petrol Turbo. Go the XR8 mate, it will stay allot cooler and would probably be easier for the car as well.

lol That post is awesome. Classic On a serious note, nittos need big heat. The tyres compound hits a critical temperature, that when past, just softens them up and grips like a monkey. And stop missing gears please......

Even so, I think it would be beneficial to do it regardless of whether it adds fuel to the fire or not. At least they will know how to drive a car, so if they are going to do something stupid there is a greater chance they will survive it anyway. Maybe this is how it should be structured. Get your L's, you take the basic 2 day (seperated by a week) driving control course. This gets you started with enough skill to confidently control a vehicle Do the log book, yadda yadda, go for your P's, DEFENSIVE driver course. Now, this should be similar, something 2 or 3 days in length based completely around defensive driving. Also should require some form of logbook (even though you can't really reference this). Go for your green P's, complete an advanced driving course. This one should start with a single day defensive course, which is like a reminder course. You then must do a 2 or 3 day advanced driver course. The whole 9 yards. Also some sort of log book, maybe a kilometer checker where they check the odo when you take your license, they check again on going for your opens and cross reference this figure with your log book (yes, easy to get around, but most aren't too bright....)... In the middle of your greens you have to do a single day reminder course on the advanced traning. Go for your open licence, another reminder course..... This would make the expense of getting a licence near 1250 - 1500 by the end of it, assuming the gov't give some form of discount. With all these courses you must pass... If you turn up, suck, spin out all the time etc, you still "completed" the course, but you didn't pass it, and you dont get the cirtificate. You must pass the course (if you fail, doing it again should be like half price or something). To me, that seems the more expensive way of getting your license, but would make all the difference. Imagine how many old asian ladies that would actually know how to drive (hey, remember, they keep going back untill they pass...), rather than the scary "I don't know which lane I want, both look so good" and "I think 20 under the limit is fine" ones that are around now..... P platers cause more fatalities currently, but they don't cause more general accidents..... So I guess this would kill 2 birds in 1 stone.

Well I managed to get 150 dollars off, I got the immobiliser, alarm, cabin siren plus some ultrasonic sensors. I ended up getting more than what I wanted for the same price it would have cost me regardless.... Win win!

Recently I decided to stop stealing the Ghia off dad. I went out, got a small loan and got into an old 323 astina (3yr warranty included! win). Anyways, I'm going to be putting a substantial sound system in it and I want to secure it. Remembering the car will never be worth more than about 7 when im done with it, tracking and all that just isn't worth it. So I've rung around and found that I'm probably looking at either a Rhino alarm or something from Cobra. Now heres what I'm thinking, if I get the rhino, I get the basic alarm + immobiliser + whats know as the DTS. The DTS is an under dash alarm (only 30 bucks extra) that will more than deafen anyone in the car trying to pinch my stereo gear. Infact im thinking of removing the immobiliser and just putting this thing in it.... I'm serious, if you get in and set this thing off, you are deaf and in immense pain after 5 seconds. Surely a thief is not going to drive away (it goes through the pain threshhold even when wearing 20db ear plugs as well) with the DTS in full song.... This is apparently about 117db, so 97db with ear plugs.... 95 is when real pain kicks in. That would be about 380 with immobiliser and about 200 without I guess (haven't checked this yet). Cobra are offering 299 for a similar system, but don't have anything like the DTS and some of there gear isn't as good as the Rhino stuff, but very similar. Both will come to my residence and install it in my garage, all included in that price. So what do you guys think? what other options do I have and does anyone here have any sort of discount on these things? (remember, I'm a student, we are poor by nature, this is all borrowed money!). Cheers guys, any help would be great.

How quick is the 180? I reckon you could take it.

Ok, so I thought I would stop being a bludger and stealing the Ghia away from dad all the time, so I went and just got myself an old 323 astina (its a start, I'm a uni student, we are poor by definition). Anyhow, I hop my way down to strathy car radio (had a special on see) to pick myself out a nice headunit, some 6"ers for the front and some 6x9's for the rear. Install it up (not the dodgy way, with proper crimp plugs :o ) and crank it with just the 6x9's running (the doors were all open as well as the boot). Sounded great, lots of bass (350w kenwoods, damn well should be) and the high end was crystal clear. Great. Then I shut all the doors (and the boot...)... Guess where a massive patch of destructive interferance just happens to be (specifically in the 30 - 130hz range).... Yep, the drivers seat..... It was then I realised how much I hate this particular law of physics when applied to car audio... Woo is me :( Makes you feel like you just completely wasted your money (this wasn't a cheap adventure, I sacrificed a better car to get a better sound system (I'm an audio perfectionist you see. Should see our home audio setup))..... So ticked off now, stupid sound waves...

What grade is the legal limit of a tint? PS, is there such a thing as a windscreen tint that is horazontaly polarised? Ie, almost completely gets rid of road glare? If there is, it would be handy......

Shutup dickhead! (directed at no one) And picking up on outright pathetic grammer is a perfectly legit way of teasing someone.

Ultimate Ebay scammer got scammed! http://www.p-p-p-powerbook.com/ Very funny, takes a bit to read but get the pdf off that site.

I'm assuming its going to have live tuning capability, because that's all Peter seems to argue about with Street Tuner. Edit with live tune..... hrmm... Time will tell I guess.

bloody hell geea, stop riding the rev limiter.......

About time the GT pulled a 13.8 in its own right, without all the crap... I'm sure in next issue they would have the F6 going faster than the GT... Give it another month fellas, they need to get used to it first (apparently its different to anything else trying to launch). Give it time....

Well the pictuer says Aria.gif So I stuck aria in google, and found she is aria giovanni.

My brother in his XE used to swap cogs without the clutch. He used to get it perfect almost every time and it never crunched (ok, maybe 1 in 50 would crunch, vary rare). He is just really good at 'guestemating' the right rpm for each change (in either direction) from anywhere in the rev range. Wasn't the fastest way to change gears but if you're too lazy to use a clutch, well...... When he was pushing it obviously he would use the clutch, no way you would clutchless change gears with full force, that would be stupid!

I've found the solution to the boss's lack of power. All Ford needs to do is give the GT's buldge about a 2 inch raise, maybe 3. She'll be right, this will fit in there perfectly.

make sure you do the rim perspective shot!

BA ghia, family car. Though, I drive it most of the time. Otherwise I just rack off with mums liberty (apparently they are looked down upon here for some reason, so I say this with great caution wearing flame suit and bullet proof underpants). edit, I tried to talk the old boy into getting a T, but he needed a car for work and he simply could not wait the time. So, poo. pps, anyone wanna donate me a T engine (just sticking a turbo on the NA would cost more, infact, about 2 grand more), and do you think the others would notice if I stuck it in the ghia .

Well, the in gear acceleration figures they quoted meant that from 80 - 120 the xr6t was marginally faster in 2nd, then annihilated the SS in 3rd 4th 5th and 6th. The overall ratio's are fairly similar for the SS and xr6t now as well (forgot if the diff was different, memory is telling me it wasn't). Sounds awesome to me!
