  1. Great attitude mate, good to hear. And that price ain't bad considering you got springs and injectors fitted.
  2. Just to be sure I understand that dyno graph.....you take off, hit 2700rpm, and the warp drive immediately engages, set to Warp 10? That is totally insane. something like that but its when she hit 3000 HANG ON To get that sort of a ramp up in power she must have an insane amount of torque at that point..... Like I said earlier, totaly awesome.
  3. Great result guys, keep up the good work!
  4. Oh this looks awesome. Crap, he gets airborn at about 6:48.... that's insane. That dude is an artist, that is what driving is all about. His heel toe downshifts were unbelievable as well, he did not miss a single one. Then again, he has a craft that will allow for near 'on demend high revs'. But still, it ain't easy getting it right every time like that with a grumpy high strung engine! 8 minutes around the ring is pretty damn quick as well. Nice one. ps, I've done 100mb in just under a minute from gamearena. that's roughly 1.6mb/s (megaBYTES per second.... not megabits, some lans don't hit that speed). If your connection is good, your speed is determined by the sender.....
  5. Have a good one mate!
  6. I think you just need to do it mate. Buy yourself a T, put whatever luxo options you can on it and then mod it. Remember though, in a ute the stereo quality isn't as good. This could be anoying on longer trips, as road noise is fairly loud in any car travelling at 120 on a country road. A combination of nizpro and aps gear, with a tune by someone that martin has high praise for, will push plenty of grunt and give you allot of driving pleasure. So just do it!
  7. I would say that he wanted a powerful, reliable tune that comes on hard really early with great throttle responce at all throttle positions.... Plus great fuel economy at cruise... That being the case, this figure is spot on, and this will have a really fat torque curve...
  8. Check out the nizpro site, the aps site and then add 1800 for the flasher and dyno tune. How much grunt? You'll have to try it and see, but you won't be disapointed.
  9. Just go the T, with the extra cash, goto nizpro for some injectors and the intake gear, APS for a cooler and an exhaust and then get herrods to Edit it (buy the edit elsewhere though). Done.

Bet ya I did It is a pretty easy car to get sideways and hold it the way I have it set up. Heh, wd!
  11. Midrange is all about torque, power doesn't mean anything at lower revs as power is simply derived by how much torque you can use over time (rpm). In other words, just quote what your torque figures are over a given rpm. From that information, you have about 470nm AT THE WHEELS @ 3200rpm.... This is about 530nm at the flywheel... A stocker has 450nm at the flywheel at this point. that's roughly 80nm more. Impressive to say the least. It wouldn't supprise me if you have a peak torque figure of around 580ish at the flywheel if your peak power is 230+ at the wheels.
  12. Couldn't agree more, its just pathetic sometimes, isn't it..... On a side note, I've been led to believe that the tune itself fills up near 100% of the memory on the ECU and only leaves enough room for the fault codes....

    Calder 4th March

Someone take a camera with a fluffy mic (so the sound quality is good and isn't stuffed by the wind). I'm sure EVERYONE would love to see and hear these runs.
  14. that's the problem as well. They do the crime, the time, and still get payed. It should be like this. You do something stupid, you goto jail and have lots of fun.... When you get out, you get welfare for say, 3 months, and then nothing for 5 years. The 3 months is purely so they can look for a job. If after 5 years the moron still hasn't got a job then maybe some minimal benefit, something stupid like 50 dollars a week. Enough for milk and bread + a bus ticket to look for a job, that's it. Give them this for another 6 months and then they are dumped from the system until they are 55 and can get a pension. And even then it is less than half everyone else gets..... Or dump them strait away. Either way works for me.

That looks great! Love the drift in the F6 you pulled there as well.... I bet you didn't hold it though
  16. Oh that is awesome! Well done mate, well done. I can't wait to here what happens with a bigger turbo and some internals done.... Just wondering what sort of bore increase you could do to these engines before they become weak? With the blueprint alone you will probably see a 10kw increase. Probably more! Hes gonna need race fuel soon
  17. apparently from what so called people in the know are saying if you want to expel hot air vents should be facing the windscreen as the air enters under the bumper. if you face the vents in the other way you areletting cold air in but not letting the hot air out. That is correct. It is what I found on my play car before I fitted Cosworth vents. The 2.3lt would generate so much heat it had nowhere to go. Once I completed the project with the rear facing vents I noticed a big drop in heat in cabin and engine bay. There was also more booggie too ! The way ive heard it, the difference in air pressure literally "sucks" the hot air out of the bonnet, so unless you like driving in reverse its best to keep them rearward facing You guys are spot on. There are many, many things that contribute to the effect of rearward facing vents. They are by far the most efficient way to vent a bonnet. Also, the closer to the rear of the bonnet you can go, the greater the negative pressure.

    Brakes

I think there the ones. So now he has some options.

    Territory Turbo

Sounds like one hell of a mongrel  You would have to spend a small fortune to strengthen the drivetrain to cope with this. I could see that being the only problem. That plus 200kgs, but like I said, removal of seats + attacking parts with a grinder can probably fix half of that at least...... But I doubt anyone wants to chop up a brand new terry.....

    Brakes

The PBR's are good, but wasn't there a thread on here a while back which suggested that for a little more than what it would cost to get the prem brakes fitted from factory, that you could get some even better DBA's (was it dba? not 100% sure on this) which perform even better? These had better peddal feel (but not harder), stronger power and more fade resistance. Do a search, or if someone else who is a brake specialist (cause I have no idea) could correct me here or fill in the blanks it would be helpfull for this guy. If he was originaly willing to pay the factory fitted price, he might as well know what his options are in that price range.

    Territory Turbo

AWD terry, lightened (take out rear seats, grind holes in stuff etc), lowered, 19's with 255's all round, nizpro intake, APS exhaust (they both will make those bits), big injectors, bigger turbo, bigger APS intercooler, edited and tuned by herrod. I'm drooling already.
  22. We should call you a maid Geez Lawsy ............What are you sick . Just the thought of Cro in an apron and short frock well nuff said on that me thinks   Hahaha  Yeah that is a pretty terrible thought......
  23. Ok. how heavy is an XR8 bonnet? If it is in the realm of say, 30kgs, imagine making one out of carbon fibre! (not fibre glass, cf is lighter). that's about 20kgs saving at the highest point over the engine.... That would have to help the center of gravity a tad, wouldn't it? Every kg counts imo.....
  24. that's a great result mate! Scan and post the before and after dyno sheets if you could, would be interesting to see te AFR's and the torque curve. We don't see many from the xr8's so...... Some GT's dont get that sort of power from stock...... An exhaust and a CAI kit would give you easy another 10 - 15 more rwkw!

    Got My Gt4!

My advice to you is to hold out on buying the steering wheel for now. Wait a while and make your decision based apon what car enthusiast reviewers say. Say wheels and motor, or even a high profile driver (so long as they have no connections with the company selling the wheel). There are lots of wheels out there, and lots of them are crap. Very few deliver on peformance or ergonomics. But the few that do provide both don't just accomplish, they excel. Couldn't give a stuff what they say or think. How many times have I read reviews that sh*t can something that I think works fine. It's a Logitech wheel and the previous Logitech wheel I had was great. Better to have a wheel than no wheel at all.. Just adds to the realism. Do you have a PS2 Lawsy? If you have you will know what I mean, a wheel of any kind is 100x better than the controller! Yeah I know, when I had the ps2 here, the wheel is just awesome fun. But in no way to I agree that any wheel is better than no wheel at all.... There is some serious crap out there that ruin the experience, that are so unrealistic, so hopelessly calibrated that its like using the digital buttons on a megadrive compared to real life. That is how bad some of the wheels out there are, and because they are cheap, people buy them. If this wheel is the one designed for GT4, then ok, go for it. Most likely, it will kick royal arse. My original post was based on the assumption that EB, being its usual dodgy self, were just slapping there worst selling wheel on what they are assured to be there best selling game. They have done this before so.... Just wish I still had the ps2 here.... Bugger! PS, from flying model aircraft, I'm pretty damn good with the controller anyway
