  1. All of the 20" rims I have seen on the BA falcon have been poor quality 'ricer' rims. Full chrome, poorly designed spokes, etc. Get the DJR rims in 20's, or JB's rims for that matter, and then put them on a BA... I'm sick of seeing these massive lamer chrome rims that someone pulled out of the korn flakes box.... It looks disgusting and ruins the look of the car. I guess you could say that (unless they are a beautiful display of design excellence) that I'm anti chrome rims, they just suck. No offence intended to anyone here with chrome rims. This is my opinion and I'm not trying to condem anyone becaues they have chrome rims. Its just that from my very 'aussie old school, anti rice' upbringing (in regard to my understanding of cars) that chrome just doesn't cut it when it comes to wheels. Anyway.
  2. that's an awesome result. I love how the increase is accross the entire range, and then an even bigger increase at the top end. Brilliant!
  3. It looks fantastic, but I would recommend you lower it more. Then it will look the ducks guts for sure, bar none. The no-wing look tends to suit cars pushing the legal limit when it comes to ride height.
  4. Mate, that looks really clean. It would be very difficult to consider that as rice, it simply too looks clean and professional. I think it looks terrific.
  5. Well.... With big rims, the suspension pretty much dumped on its arse (seriously, how good would it look!) and tinted windows; you would have one seriously menacing looking terry! Then give it 400kw at the wheels... I think I need to go lay down, getting light headed......

  7. Oh this thing is an absolutely machine... We need more videos of it... Anything, absolutely anything. Just more video's with high sound quality! Anyway..
  8. I love over engineering... Its so much more fun when you are able to engineer something to take 30% more than specified with the same weight/cost of what is required.... This is why I'm going to become an engineer, puzzling out how to make things stronger, lighter, but with a similar cost is the hardcore part of mechanical engineering... I can't wait!! I doubt I'll be engineering a clutch though.... But if I did, it would have a 1000nm or more torque rating...... But feel light enough, with enough travel to feel perfect to be used in a 500nm car... But meh... Sorry if this seems really random, but hey, I'm a random kinda guy....
  9. At last the thing is fixed.... Now motor better get a 13.8 or better or this was still a waste of time.
  10. What with 165/65/13 cheese cutters on the back. So your telling me at 160 kph in 4th gear if you plant it you break traction. I just find that hard to believe with 300rwkw as my mates T with alot more then that wont spin at that speed if he does the same but god it goes like theres no tommorrow. Your mate isn't trying hard enough then.
  11. Its a manual remember...
  12. For whingless to work, the car must be slammed.... I mean really low. With big wheels. Then and only then does it look good, but not only does it look good, it looks the best.... Hard to acheive, but when done correct no T can look better unless its lower or something.......
  13. I hope you have a strong towbar for that though (as well as tightning the boat down just that extra little bit...). You wouldn't want something to snap or bend under the load of dragging someone off at the lights (which I personally think is stupid while towing, but funny at the same time cause they are getting overtaken by a boat... on land just picture it a laugh will ya..)...

  15. Typhoon + edit. You can't lose then.
  16. At least you are taking the right attitude into this mate... That 200 dollars could save you thousands later on if something was to happen...
  17. Well the block should be in good condition, and at your power levels so should the rods and such. I think your power level geese might be some sort of sweet spot for the engine. You are probably at a point that you could run the engine hard all day every day without destroying it. One thing that caught my attention is a comment from WBT56. "If you have a back end clunk, it will almost certainly not be the diff, check your CV's" Everyone has been getting diff replacements for driveline shunt and it DOES NOTHING... Coincidence? It seems to me that the CV's were probably the culprit the whole time.....
  18. Far out I can't wait to see this thing run up when its finished.... If they hit the targetted 630kw, then, wow......
  19. Just some info, the xr8 ran 13.99, the GT ran a 13.88... This GT also pulled 242kw on the dyno, pulling more power than even the HSV's... The T pulled 192 but just dropped off at the top end, and the gearbox was apparently an appauling example. Meh.....

Welcome mate... So... When are you getting an edit?
  21. Any updates champ?
  22. One more thing, I hope you have heat shielder for that turbo, otherwise you WILL melt things.
  23. Very, very quality. Now, time for a tubbing job! Or at the very least, 1cm spacers and fit 295's on..... 4 cm more grip... Nothing to sneeze at. Make sure someone is there with a FLUFFY MIC so it isn't all wind noise and clipping. Tell us when you are going to run at WSID as well, I'll come and watch. PS, top fuelers are on the 14th of may.
  24. Go for it mate. A few of the guys have run past 280 with the stock exhaust. Yes, they pick up massive gains at this point when they use a custom made exhaust system, but they made their original numbers relatively easy with the stock system as well.... I think 260 would be a happy medium. The pressure wouldn't be excessive, so power wouldn't be limited to the same degree if you were aiming at, say, 280+. So go for it mate. [Edit] Yes, a high flow cat would make this task even easier (free 5 - 10 kw). You know what I mean....
  25. Whoops, forgot what I was doing.... Hrmm... Ahh yes, excell.... I was going to roughly graph it. According to my graph, you have a tractive effort at the wheels of about 1110, probably around the 3500rpm mark..... This is at the wheels, at the crank, yeah, something like 1300nm. The graph looks fairly funky though, a rather large peak in torque in the lower rev range.... Much more like a dyno graph from a turbo drag/race engine... Oh, did I say that?
