  1. I think maybe he was just trying to put a little doubt in my mind so when he said we needed a new turbo, I wouldn't have thought too much about it Where is the coil pack located on these?
  2. sweet, I might metre out the coils to see if there is any significant difference. I did just call a supposed expert for performance vehicles in the area and we just chewing the fat and he reckons I need to replace my turbo because it make a spool down noise for a bit when I turn the car off. Wouldn't that mean that there are a lot of screwed turbo's out there? lol
  3. anyway to test the coils?
  4. damn straigh raband, ford did say they flashed back to stock but still getting this issue, will take it to a reputable guy over the border and get him to check it out and we can just do 1 bit at a time. Another quick one, if I were to purchase a flash tune, can I flash it just staright back to stock? There are no mods on the car at all.
  5. ok I see what you guys are getting at, but I should have worded my post better. It's not getting into redline territory doing this though, but in saying that, would it best to have someone look at my shift points and get them properly adjusted??
  6. Hi Guys, I have noticed for the past couple of months, if I give a little bit of a kick to my BA MKII xr6 turbo ute, that in the higher reve range the turbo will cut out all together until I change to the next gear, then do it in that gear and so on. What would be the cause of this and how can I rectify it? Thanks
  7. dodgy is what he is, already had an insurance claim against him for smashing my car. Anyhow, just picked it up and seems to be running great, will keep my eye on it. Thanks for everyones input, really appreciated.
  8. that's just it, there aren't any mods to it, I had a guy look at it late last year who said he "tuned" it. all I can see he did was remove the manuial boost controller which was there already and screw everything else up lol. so no actual hardware mods.
  9. cool, will see how he goes, or maybe take it to ford to get flashed to stock. with the repairs at present, gonna cost me upwards of $1500, so trying dave at least some money lol
  10. I am in Albury, there is a guy over the border. I might just put a boost controller back in it, maybe the easiest option
  11. I believe so, he said there was a split as well so he replaced the hose completely and has now lost all boost.
  12. Hi Guys, my xr6t ute had a boost controller inline, I got it removed a while ago and the guy put in a t-piece, but it was open to atmosphere and seemed to be working. It is in the shop today getting work done as the other guy pretty much near on destoryed it. Everything is peachey, except when he replaced the hose to the turbo, it has lost ALL BOOST. The mechanic is going to look into it, but if I could get an answer to hepl him out first, would be great. Thanks guys
  13. nah, hose isn't missing, replaced the stock with a repco one as the original was on it's way out, second hole is plugged
  14. if you have a look at my first pic, that was all the vac line I had :( so I'm assuming no bov
  15. do these help??
