  1. My right rear tyre rubs on the chassis. Original wheels and tyres and no suspension mods. Had the diff replaced under warranty a few months ago (had to wait until the bearing noise was unbearable before they would do anything) Dealership pretty much didn't answer any questions I asked about the problem..... Going to try again
  2. In the ute was a cast iron dentist chair that was about 200kg plus bags for holiday and 4 Nissan patrol rims Whent from Port Lincoln to Mount Isa
  3. Noisey while cornering could be spider gears in the diff, as they only work while turning. Also maybe...wheel bearing...not likely though. Whoop Whoop noise is generally a bearing noise. I did a 10,000km trip over the last few weeks and now have a noisy diff (towed a 12x6 trailer with a small car on it for the last 2500km) Took it in to Ford dealer and they said....One rim is dented and that is making the noise. Long story short...rim was dented on a dirt road on a shortcut trip to Cairns. Anyway, diff was noisy long before then. I have been a mechanic since I qualified when I was 20. Im now 49. These F&%$ H#@$ have NO idea. Going back on friday to sort it out. Very angry....
  4. Had a screen blackout a few months back, took it in and they said they updated the ICC firmware, no cost. 2012 model Have not had problems with bluetooth, using Galaxy S4

    First Long Run

Well the first 4 tank fills went from 10.8 down to 9.19. Very pleased. Car is running and felling great. I did 2 12hour days of driving, covering 2300km. Will be interesting to see how it goes with a load on the way home. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710a using Tapatalk 2
  6. Here ate some figures from my 2012 turbo Ute. Around town, 15.5 average. Highway at 115kph, 10.8 average. That's 700km to a tank, amazing after getting 450km around town. Just incase you were wondering, instant economy at 200kph is 38.8 Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710a using Tapatalk 2

  8. Paid $40000 on the nose for an 2012 MK2 Manual Turbo, tinted windows, mats and paint protection. Was on the floor, so picked it up a few days after the test drive. White.

    First Long Run

Hi all, Heading out for a bit of a cross country run on Tuesday for a 2 week holiday. Heading from Mount Isa to Melbourne, stopping in at Wagga Wagga and Deniliquin to visit my daughters. My ute is getting its 3000km check over in the morning and then heading off. Thinking I will change the oil and filter when I get down south. Should be a good "running in" trip Also, got my plates a week or so ago, looking sweet
  10. Proud of my baby! All badges still intact. And plates will be worth more later on down the track.
  11. Was going to get some plates for the ute, my initials and birth date, then found out that 7 letter/number combinations are now available. So I tried XR6T.UTE and it was available!!! Cost a fortune so I have laybyed it. Getting white letters on a dark blue back ground

    ute register

Hi, First post. Picked up a brand new 2012 FG XR6 Turbo ute yesterday. 6 speed manual. White. No mods as yet. Wouldn't mind getting some subtle off white stripes or pearl white stripes along the sides at the bottom. Also keen to get leather trimmed seats. Live in Mount Isa.
