  1. Yeah for future reference, Achilles ATR Sport 2 tyres currently don't come in the correct size for the 17" wheels on a FG XR6T ute (18" and higher are fine I think). The correct size is 245/45R17. I didn't find this out until after the tyre shop fitted the older 1st gen ATR Sports on my car instead, assuming that I didn't care about the difference. I'm still not sure if I want to get the ATR2 fitted with the smaller 235/45 profile, the diameter is only 9mm smaller than standard and I have actually been running 235/45R17 since owning the car anyway. I went back to tyre shop today, argued with the owner about the legality of fitting them (proved him wrong in front of customers). In the end I can take the car back and get the ATR2s fitted if I want to (they're also $80 cheaper for a set)
  2. I've just been reading the legislation. Looks like the tyre shop stuffed me around claiming that the 235/45 are illegal... my tyre placard says 245/45R17 95W.. the ATR2 is 235/45/17 97XL therefore the speed rating is the same (W or 270kph for both) and the 235 actually has a higher load rating 730kg vs 690kg. QLD transport says tyres can be up to 70% narrower than placard as long as speed and load ratings aren't less than recommended. Should I go back and the get 235/45 ATR2 fitted instead? They're $80 cheaper all up and the newer compound.
  3. After reading all the hype about the ATR Sport 2 I went to get some fitted today. Turns out they don't make them in 245/45R17. My FG ute had 235/45R17 on it previously which is illegal according to the tyre placard. Was a bit disappointing that I had to get the older ATR Sport in 245/45 fitted instead AND at a cost of $20 more per tyre (compared to the 235s Sport 2)
  4. Autobarn
  5. From the Lenso website, offsets available for 18x10.. +15,+22,+29,+36,+41
  6. Armor All is rubbish try 303 Aerospace Protectant you can find it at Autobarn
  7. I don't like black wheels either.. in general they look cheap, dirty and half the time can't even see the design anyway. Could be black hubcaps for all I know
  8. 215,000 kms 2008 FG XR6T ute. 100% stock standard, afaik no major issues everything is immaculate except the suspension, springs have sagged to an ideal ride height :D and the shocks need replacing soon.
  9. Vertini
  10. So 9.5 wide in +38 offset looks to be perfect/flush for rear of FG sedan? How is the front do they sit in a little? We need an offset bible stickied.
  11. Hmm trying to decide which wheels for my silver FG ute... Vertini Magic or Lenso D1R? Overall I prefer the D1Rs I just wish they would make them in 19s
  12. You could probably push the rear to around +10 but +15 should sit close enough. Front should be also be close enough seems many others have run 8.5 +20 without dramas
  13. If you want to feed him premium food, I'd recommend Black Hawk http://www.onlinepetcart.com.au/dog-food-dry/black-hawk/black-hawk-puppy-lamb-and-rice-holistic-20kg.html#.UnhEl_lmh8E This stuff is Aussie made, great value and is PROPER food.. not full of useless fillers such as corn etc like Pedigree and most other stuff you buy from the supermarket
  14. Z2TT is talking about the other way around. MKII to MKI. Either way it seems almost impossible or will be extremely expensive http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11398946
  15. Apparently this is one of the best bang for buck electric trimmers out there http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160859989616?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 Some reviews on the Amazon page here. I researched it ages ago it's been on my eBay wish list for over a year.. still haven't gotten around to buying one Due to bad shaving rash I use a double edge razor when I do have to shave, end result is 10x better than using disposables but the process is time consuming and takes a few goes to get it right
  16. Does anyone know what sort of power F6 injectors will max out at on E85? Cheers
  17. Here is the fixed post
  18. My FG recently had both ABS and stability control warnings appear on the dash. It turned out to be a dirty rear right wheel sensor. Simple 2 minute fix for me just cleaned the sensors with wax & grease and used compressor to clear the dust and dirt out of the hub where the sensors bolt in. We then reset the codes and they have not appeared since.
