Na Fuel Efficiency And Km's Per Tank
arrow24 replied to INPURSUIT's topic in Ford 4.0L N/A Discussion
I had a similar problem terrible fuel economy turned out my fuel rail was blocked and therefore the return line into the tank wasnt actually returning the fuel but throwing it into the motor, car was also runing like sh*t....so changed fuel rail and I also changed fuel pump, fuel reg, fuel filter, o2 sensor, exhaust, air filter definitely fixed the problem! was really only the rail that was causing the problem but while I was at it did the whole thing was also told by my mechanic that theres for some reason a return valve inside the tank that can sometimes get blocked, and also have to be weary if an aftermarket fuel pump has been put in that's raising the fuel pressure and throwing way too much fuel in it -
yeh I hear yah man, still though I have the 5x7 sitting there and can go swap em for the 6x9 for not much extra money so gunna chuck em in anyway just unsure which is gunna be better the 5x7 or the 6x9 hmm interesting I have seen quite a few people putting sound deadening in but havnt done much reading into it, haha hadnt even considered it for my install untill now :s what do you mean by road noise? is the deadening to stop everyone else hearing the musicoutside the car? or to stop echoing rattling noises and how much is the sound deadening cost? sorry for all the questions cheers justin

hey guys so have purchased most of my gear for my ute install already indipendant headunit sony with 3 rca outs kicker monoblock sub amp 300w rms slimline amp alpine type r 2 way 6 inch (100w rms each) for front 4 chanel kicker (total 350 w rms) --what im undecided on is the speakers that will go in the rear slots I have sitting around a pair of aurion cobalt 2 way 5x7 65 w rms each....but unsure weather to put these in the back or go for a pair of kicker 6x9 3-way (70w rms) from what I understand with the air capacity of the ute I probly dont even need any rear speakers but I think it would be a bit unbalanced if I do that so going to put something in the back would the 3 way balance out my sound a bit better? oppinions please and also wondering has anyone put 6x9 in the rear speaker slots in their ba-bf utes noticed these on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6x9-Ford-BA-BF-Falcon-Ute-Speaker-Adaptor-Spacers-5x7-/250774590487?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a63549417#ht_3405wt_992 would this bring the 6x9 out enough? cheers justin

went ahead and bought the full pacemaker system with the 4490, very nice system overall
-
hmmm did a little searching on the forum which I probly should have done before posting haha from my understanding of everything I read 4490 better for downlow, 4495 better for top end
-
difference between pacemaker 4490 and 4495 for ba? is there a major difference? anyone care to share there experiences with them? and has anyone tried the defilipo I think that's how you spell it?
-
cheers for the info guys will definately leave the 4spd in it untill it blows which is probly not far away :s few more questions if you wouldnt mind sharing with injectors would something like a 60lb or 600cc (unsure how your supposed to rate them) be a good option for injectors? not sure where I read it but im sure I read something about using ford territorry diff gears, to get the taller ratio is this an option or do they not come in an lsd? just had a quick look on the net and the true track lsd is about a thousand dollars :s is there a cheaper way around that
-
sorry probz a noob question lol whats t5z (gearbox?) and whats true track? so for the e85 mods as follows -injectors -walbro fuel pump -flash tuner and custom tune?? with the addition of -pacemaker headers, highflow cat, cat back exhaust -ss growler intake -underdrive pulley -taller diff gears ude be lookin at some pretty descent power gains!?
-
yes please spill haha very very interested to know more!
-
just wondering who if anyone has actually put there n/a xr6 on e85 would love some feedback or info thinking of making the swap!
-
straight pipe no good in my opinion, with n/a cars you need to have some sought of back pressure for best results...a straight pipe would probly make it quite laggy and stupidly loud
-
hmmm thing is ive been offered a pretty decently priced package by a mate who just sold his car and removed his system includes 2-12inch kicker subs with amp to go with 2-6x9 kicker speakers 2-6 inch kickers speakers...I think splits and some tweeters thatd need to go in the pillars and a kicker amp for the speakers all for $500!! will just need to get a head unit and enclosures for the subs, cause the enclosure atm is too big... qurious as to know how to go about putting 6 inchers at the front? is there an adapter I can buy? cheers justin
-
thanks for the help guys was quoted 1500 for a full pacemaker system engine all the way back, do you think this is a descent price?? henz, what f6 airbox would I need to look for..the one from the ba f6? and is it just the box I need to buy or is there like bigmouth intake pipe that goes with it? and is there alot of difference between my stock box and the f6 box? cheers justin
-
hey guys quick question, got a ba ute and ive been told it has 2 5x7 in the front and 2 5x7 in the rear is this correct? and will I be able to fit 6x9 in the rear without too much trouble? current plan is 2 12 inch kicker subs, one behind each seat kicker 6x9 splits in the rear unsure of what 5x7 in the front putting a head unit at the bottom of my climate control/radio unit kicker amps running one for the subs one for the other speakers what do u think? cheers justin
-
hey guys looking at buying a full exhaust system for my n/a ute (engine all the way back) interested in the full pacemaker system, just wondering if anyone has tried it? or anyone has any experiences with variuos exhaust systems they could share? also curious as to weather theres much of a gain in power? and if it would be worth adding an ss growler intake to the package? its a ba xr6 model by the way cheers justin

oops didnt notice your running 18s, should I go down 5mm from what your running and will it be allot harder fitting 19s instead of 18
-
sweet thanks heaps mate what yah reacon I should chuck on the rears? also a 45 tyre wall and go a bit wider? or chuck on a 40 tyre wall? cheers justin
-
ahh I see cheers guys no chance you know what tyres are on the front of that red xr?
-
so went to motorsport wheels and tyres in dandenong today and spoke to them about fitting 19x9.5 +12 all round on my ba xr6 ute, the guy told me I had no chance of fitting them on the fronts even with a wrapped tyre, and that if I wanted to I would not only have to roll my guards but flare them to sit an extra 20mm wider than they do now.... is this right? cause from what ive read on this forum I really wouldnt have to go anywhere near that far (20mm) flare to fit that sizing....or is that for it to be roadworthy? cause he said that rim would stick out a lot any help much appreciated cheers justin
-
lol if I put that tyre on the fronts will I get away without rolling the guards? or go safe and put +22 on the front so I dont have to roll or will that not clear on the inside
