I had a similar problem to AMoffat. while joining the freeway gave it a fair bit of throttle. I accelerated up to about 80-90 then it coughed and stuttered. I backed off, then gently accelerated back up to 120 with no dramas. that was the only time it has happened. it was in normal drive mode and had been running for about 10 minutes.

a good price is all relative. depends how willing you are to walk away and wait even longer to get in one. shop around some people on here have travelled to other states to get the best deal.

I was lucky enough to pick up my car on friday. as we went to start it for the first time, the dealer said have a listen to the new exhaust sound. not sure whether it was my excitement about getting the car or not, but it did sound a lot better than the limited amount of other xr6t's that I have heard. I was told ford had modified the exhaust during the last few weeks. also some of the piping around the engine had been enlarged. either way it sounds great with a pretty deep burl on idle and gets better with more revs. BTW - to all those still waiting it really is worth it. after 500km the car has exceeded all my expectations

AMoffat, I am with you. not happy with the info flow from the dealer. tried to be as patient and understanding as I could. finally gave them a bit of a blast last week. amazing how much more help I get now. my advice to anybody waiting, keep at them and make your feelings known if the service is not up to scratch.

how long is to long to sit on roughly the same speed?

my car is currently being built. if your car is being built in any particular month then the dealer should be able to give a pretty good estimate by the start of that month as ford arranges their line up dates. premium sound delayed my car by about a week and as stated FPV appears to be a bottle neck.

turbo6, that sucks big time. I would be blowing up big time. it seems other people on the site are going through FPV in about 10 days.

has anybodies car recently gone through FPV or currently there? if so how long did it take or how long has it been there? I was told today that may t6 is in final assembly and should leave on the 14th for the turbo work and sunroof.

great news. production line today - delivery 20th, not much mucking around there. did you get tick any options?

waiting for march build to arrive. was told delivery to be around the 18/3 at the strart of the month. rang to check up and now told no line up date set. apparently there is a problem with the availabilty of premium sound. anybody else heard this or waiting for a march build to be delivered?

after driving a V8 5 speed in sydney traffic for the last 4 years, the auto was an easy choice. the sequential was one the major reason for changing from an SS.

sorry I am also supplied with a fleetcard so I can purchase what ever fuel, oil etc I like from any servo.

I have a novated lease. mods are basically a no go as this adds value to the car which then has FBT implications. in reality you can do anything you like but you have to pay for it with after tax money and no one would be the wiser. the other option is if you can claim it to be a repair eg exhasut had to be replaced which could then be paid for with pre tax dollars and GST input credits. this applies to novated leases in regard to salary sacrificing.

I am probably wrong but did I read in another thread that there used to be away of tracking your car as it is being built by the sido number?if so will this be returning?

I think amoffat was refering to the fun bags pictured with the ute. they probably go for about $500 as well

I will have a 3year lease and will run up about 120,000km. for close to $900 I might give the extended warranty a miss and get the car throughly checked before the 100,000 km mark. hopefully resale values will hold up well. I will have to cover a residual of around $22,000 at the end of 3 years.

bdennis, I will be in the same situation as you when my car arrives, so if you could also pass on any info you get to me that would be greatly appreciated.

I was told they are sentry products. I know little about these things so have to trust them to a certain degree. I expect to pay a small premiun but don't want to be totally rogered

hi all, ordered my t6 last week. of the people that got tint and alarms did u get them from the dealer or added after. I have been quoted $490 for tint and $690 for the alarm through the dealer. I need the alarm for insurance purposes, replacing my stolen and burnt SS.
