The real problem as I see it is that once a kid gets his P's he believes that he/she is a great driver when in reality getting your licence is only the beginning. I know I have a son on P's and a daughter getting them next week. The system is a lot to blame with 2 years on L's and then the whole driving test/written and hazard perception that leads these kids to think they are a whole lot better than they are. Remember you will learn a whole lot more in your first year of driving by yourself on P's than any driving instructor taught you. The real trick is to survive long enough to become a good driver.
Dont Move to Albury/Wodonga - Local Dealer $350 30K and then quoted me $420 for the 45K got it done last week at Ultratune for $158. About the same time got the wife's territory in for its 30K $400 at the dealers and when we got it home the hand brake was sticking on, brakes squealing, window trim was broken all from the service at top $$$ Stuff the dealer!
Hi all, I just took the T in for service and have noticed that the intercooler manifold cover has started to flake off where it says turbo. The whole plastic cover is brittle and soon the whole finish will peel off. Ford dealer tells me no go on warranty as it is a trim issue! Anyone had similar? Can I get it replaced under warranty?
After much stuffing around and with a fair amount of trepidation I put MAXXIS MAV-1s on the T. These suckers were 235/45/17's and only $148 a corner fitted and I thought they would probably be - No Way they are great heaps of grip in both wet and dry hold on well and sos so so quiet compared to the sp3000 I am extremely happy with performance and price.
I had a VN, VP, VR, VT, VX all berlinas the last 2 supercharged. Went down to buy a VY got sh*t from the Expensive Daewoo salesman went a test drove a T and bought it on the spot 3 months later I bought the wife a Territory. Now its all Ford Always
I sell photocopiers and since I'm commission only I'd love to sell you guys some fully connected printing, copying, faxing, scanning machines just call - Mates Rates OF COURSE
I agree the only people who will go through with this are those who can decide not to buy fuel on the day anyone else who uses a vehicle for work etc. like truck drivers will have to fuel up. Relax about fuel you have to have it ! If you buy a tank a week its costing about $25 extra a week so relax, chill out and fill up.
I have had exactly the same thing twice - scared the out of me but had no further symptoms. Mentioned it to ford last service and they did an ecu edit and I haven't had it since. When it happened to me I was accelerating both times - I thought it might be over boost ??
Mine has done a similar thing twice but after it had no problem with revs or go. both times it happened at high acceleration and high speed I thought it was overboost loud though scared the out of me
Got the car back yesterday from Ford and they reflashed the ECU. Can't yet duplicate the problem but it only ever happened 3 times. program upgrade did not seem to do a thing ot power in fact it may be slightly better ( gut feeling)
On about 3 occasions when I have been giving my T a bit of stick I get this load bang and a great shove from the rear of the car. Any idea what it could be? Is this the overboost problem everyone talks about? I range Ford they said dunno bring it in so it goes in tomorrow. Appreciate any help or ideas
Just before Christmas I was done for going through a red light that wasn't red it was amber. The cop was facing the opposite way to my direction of travel and with turning arrows I don't see haow he could be sure about the light. When he caught up with me I said the light wasn't red he said, " it wasn't green either." I used the couldn't safely stop line - to no avail. I was damned tempted to take it to court but the system is so stacked against you with the expert witness BS and all. Also $237 was cheap to not have the local cops focusing on my easy to spot envi XR6T. It sux its not fair but that's life. Whatever happened to innocent before being proven guilty ?
Typhoon your wrong. I have been a salesman for 25 years, not selling cars, but office equipment, where each unit is about the same price as a car. This is big boys games where everyone involved is supposed to be an adult. Its not up to the salesman to educate you about buying a car. His responsibility is firstly to his dealer to sell as many cars as he can and make the best profit and secondly to the customer that he supplies exactly what he promised - That's it! It is up to the buyer to research pricing, finance, accesories, trade in etc, and to negatiate a deal that suits them. If you negotiate a bad deal tough - as long as you are supplied the goods you were promised you cannot complain. If you don't like the pricing or finance offered then exercise the ultimate power of a buyer AND DON'T BUY !!! Your whole post seems to me to be touchy feely schoolboy twaddle. If you are going to buy a car for $40K or so grow up and do so homework before you deal. One other point - I can't see a higly successful ford saleman turning his back on sales altogether to go into IT. So fess up where u just crap at the job and now angry and dissillusioned?
VL Berlina, VN Berlina, VS Berlina, VT Berlina, VX Supercharged Berlina Then the T and would never go back. Better Suspension, better handling, better steering, great power, better traction control ( by a mile), better styling. Next Stop Typhoon
After owning a VN,VP,VT & VX supercharged Late model camira I was urged to test drive an XR6T by my brother. Imagine that a confirmed Expensive Daewoo man driving a Ford BUT I loved it the power, the look , the suspension, the handling the note it leaves the Expensive Daewoo SS way way way behind. Had it a month now and I love it, best decision I ever made and the Envi Colour is Beautiful. Go Ford Go XR6T.
