  1. That's good advice. I have a custom triple plate that I'll get rebuilt before I go any further. Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
  2. How far has this clutch been pushed? I've currently got one holding 400kw easily but I've been advised to upgrade before I go any further. I'm not sure what I'll make after the next stage of mods but the long term forecast is 600kw. I know it's technically only rated to 400kw but I really like it and want to hold onto it for as long as possible. As for shifter I have an mgw on my t56 and it's awesome but I haven't compared to any others.
  3. I haven't been using a bov but I will when I get my new turbo. I hate flutter though; what exactly is it and how do I avoid it? All I want is a short, sharp release of air and no other bullsh*t.

Have you got any info on the Nizpro built motor? I haven't read any Nizpro projects on the forums but I always remember this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2eWHNSaSZU I know there's a lot of big players in the turbo 4.0L six game but I'm pretty sure these guys were the early pioneers.
  5. That sounds like me. P7675 it is. Of course I'll have to run it by Kyel first. I'm living in London for a couple of years but if I get a decent job I might send some some money home. I don't suppose you're planning on selling?
  6. What was your old turbo mate? My gt4202r has siezed and the PT7685 and PT7175 are listed as 'gt42 style' so I'm thinking the PT7175 for faster spool rather than max. hp. Both of them are toys compared to your P8285.
  7. I'd already bushed the front end with superpro items and got Chris to do the rear. It's definitely worth it. I like that you've entrusted the same people with your car, it's very reassuring. Kyle and Jamie had the car earlier in the year and they are now the only guys I will pay to work on it, even though it's a 2 hour drive from Brisbane and a bus ride home.
  8. It's getting front and rear coil-overs. I ordered 2 piece front rotors from Race Brakes Melbourne at the same time so Chris could fit them up while everything was apart; but that turned into months of waiting and the car sitting there untill they turned up. Chris is a good guy. I can't wait to get the car back and test out the handling.
  9. Does anybody know the laws on drop tanks in Qld? I want to get a 80L tank made up in preparation for e85.
  10. I'm away with work at the moment but I have a new fg inlet manifold at home if anybody is interested in buying it?
  11. I'm trying to gather information to compare these two turbos but they are very similar. Both turbos are proven but the Garrett more so on XR6's than the precision. From what I can tell the GTX comes standard with a 4inch turbine outlet whereas the Precision would need to be optioned up; irrelevant really. What would you buy and why?
  12. Golden attitude Spiro. People can and will judge you on how you decide to spend your time and money; good for them....

Future plans include a whole new hot-side with a GTX4202R or Precision PT7675, and definitely E85. I'm playing with the idea of a full custom baffled drop tank with built in surge tank with a recess to mount 3x Bosch 044's. Spending is on hold for a while so I'm just researching and planning in the meantime.
  14. I like how there's not even enough room on the list for 11sec passes. Does everybody run their biggest hp tune or a little less boost to help with traction?
