  2. Havent had the car on a dyno, was tuned before I got it and only just picked it up from the dealer last week. Will be getting tins done soon but no plans to change the wheels as I quite like than. As for user name, its the same one I have had for ages. Cheers
  3. Hi there, Havent been around for a while but thought I would share my latest purchase. I have just bought this car and traded an FG GT for it as I have a business I am trying to grow so sold the GT to free up some cash and decided to bring this home. It has had a custom tune, in great condition with 25000kms on the clock. Is loads of fun and keeps leaving rubber all over the place which is fun.
  4. Must say I like it as well. I am looking at a GT or F6 and I wanted leather and stripes if I go with a GT so that costs around $3000 so for another $2500 you get the premium brakes so is that a good deal, forgetting about the mats and special number as I cant be bothered with that sort of stuff. On the FPV site they have those 6 pot brakes and an extra for $5900. Then again I guess it is getting cloer to the cost of a GT-P as well. I like the rims but yeah a S&*( to clean. I am looking at silver or sensation so kind of works for me but will wait to see an in the flesh photo as photo chopping doesnt always produce the best result. What would have been better would have been to see a 320kw GT just to take a bit off Expensive Daewoo with the 317 as they only came out and beat FPV by 2kw but I suppose it doesnt matter anyway. It would be good however the see a high spec F6 like the one suggested above.
  5. great to see you guys are getting your cars. Anyone got a photo of an F6 in Sensation
  6. That great, thanks for that
  7. Yip, it is the quickest. The shorter the coloured lines the faster the car. I have a copy of the mag and blow are the 0-100 times for each car. The 4.82 was done at a drag track and the normal finish line was used for the start point in order to retain more grip. 1-100kmh (on normal road condiditons) F6 4.99 S3 6.46 EVO 5.45 80-120 F6 2.64 S3 3.61 EVO 3.59 Question for you guys though. I am not really mechanically minded but will try. With the F6 having 565 nm available at only 1950 rpm upwards and the GT having 551 nm at 4750 rpm will the drive train etc last as long in the F6 seeing the it carries more torque more of the time. Probably not making much sense but if the GT doesnt make its maximun nm until 4750 rpm will it be easier on the drive train etc over time. Only reason I ask is that the F6 is putting up some awesome numbers and costs a lot less than the Euro cars 427 etc so will it stand the test of time seeing it is so much cheaper. So do the euros etc have a lot stronger transmissions etc for the monry they demand or does one pay a heap more for the badge. We will be starting a family soon and I will get my last FPV for several years once I order one this year so I would like a car that will last well as it will be several years before another car will come my way. A guy bought this subject up today and his thoughts are that the F6 will wear quicker as drive train etc is under more pressure more often but I am buggered if I know. Any advice would be great and I know you clever lot will know, well that's if I have made any sense at all.
  8. great stuff, I have been waiting for their F6 test so will grab a copy tomorrow. 4.99 on the road, great to see the 5 second barrier broken They tested GT and R8 two months back with the following road times: FG GT 5.28 R8 5.30
  9. that's great, thanks for that.
  10. sorry I mean what type of ipod are you connecting to the car.
  11. Which ipod system are you using?
  12. wow that's a great looking car, congratulations.
  13. Great looking car, looks like a stealth ro cket
  14. How are FPV sales going in Australia? Just wondering if this is being done to generate a boost in sales? I havent decided on F6 or GT yet so may wait to see what they announce. By the way has anyone got a picture of an F6 with standard wheels in the sensation colour? Cheers
  15. I was asked recently to post some Red Checkers photos on a forum so have added them here as well. Have flown with the 2008 team twice this year as well as the flight where Squadron leader Paul Stockley joined Ryan Southam in a Tiger at Wanaka. Great bunch of guys and some great flying displays this year.
  16. Mate, 310 at the engine was enough for me
  17. Was 32 when I bought my first FPV, it was a 2005 GT (New)
  18. I had a chance to drive one of these yesterday and what an amazing car. It is a real monster. You can find my review and some more pictures at the link below: http://capphotography.fotopic.net/c1566277.html
  19. mate that is a great review, excellent stuff. Sounds like a great car indeed and am looking forward to a drive next month.
  20. Well done that man Kiwis have always supported the Aussie cars well and its good to start seeing the new FG series on the road. Nice colour too.
  21. Nice ride mate Cant wait to see some new photos.
  22. probably a stupid question but does the manual F6 have launch control as I havent seen it advertised anywhere?
  23. fair enough to. I have had a GT but not an F6 so will make sure I drive an F6 as like you say, the reviews are just so good. It would be an easy decision to buy the new F6 like you say seeing you have got one now and I was going to order a new GT but just cant do it until I have satisifed my curiousity with an F6, really looking forward to the drive.
  24. Well done that man, I am sure you will have a lot of fun with the car. I drove a GT last week and loved it. Could have ordered one on the spot but am waiting to have a drive of an F6 so I can try and make my mind up either way.
