There are two different styles of digital readouts on the cluster. The highend models have a different readout under the tacho (impossible to show trip functions) and no trip button on the righthand side. Your owner's manual clearly shows both types.

Which wheel did you have, the one in the pic (fairmont ghia with black stone look wood) or the sport wheel option?

Does anyone know what exactly is required extra to fit a towbar to a BA with reverse sensors? Ford will sell me a towbar complete with the wiring loom/plug for $170 but want an extra $90 for the "extra reverse sensors items" (whatever this is). Does anyone have the part numbers at all?

Might want to double check that, my car is currently Police mode enabled, and all the interior lights work when a door is opened, and my indicators still flash when I lock/unlock it. Mine had the reverse when I first test drove it: The dash was normal but the BEM was in Police mode (interior lights didn't work with the doors and the indicators didn't flash when locking/unlocking) Got the service dudes to reprogram with the WDS and all is normal now. The dash and BEM are programed separately.

There are some rough ones out there. This one drives as well, if not better, than the brand new BA XR8 Ute I used to own!

I picked up my Ex-Cop BA XR8 last week, very happy with it. Didn't end up getting the one above as it had a hole in the roof where an aerial used to be.. The one I ended up with was, 2004 MKI with side airbags, rear reverse sensors, premium brakes and a set of black stripes (wasn't sure about these but they have grown on me). Paint work and interior are in excellent condition. Thought I would post a few pics of it.. Added a few accessories as listed in my signature.

How do the DBA premium rotors (42104) compare to the PBR replacements? Does anyone have the part numbers and prices for the PBR and Bendix Premium Brake Pads? Which are better?

Last night whilst washing the car I noticed a slight coolant mark under the radiator. After a search of the forum I noticed that leaks from the BA end tanks is common. A further look and I was able to identify that my leak was coming from the passenger side end tank. Was going to my Ford dealer this morning to pick up a set of mud spats and casually asked their service guys to have a look at my leak for me. They came back and said leave the car here for two hours and we will throw in a new radiator under warranty. Very happy with that!

Just booked the car in with O'Brien's for $249.00 and they will come to me. Sounded reasonable to me..

2004 model. Pitted from driving in WA, got a few small chips as well... Don't want to use insurance unless I have to.

My windscreen is pitted and needs to be replaced. Has anyone recently had a new windscreen fitted to their BA and how much did it cost?

Is this for the 42104 rotors?

From memory, the xbox will fit but it's too much of a tight squeeze to be comfortable. With it under there I don't think you can still move the seat. ShockF6 should be able to confirm this... Also if you have a modded Xbox you can change the fan speed, but you shouldn't have to its not very noisey to begin with, and once you have the stereo going plus road noise you definatley won't hear it. Why not put the Xbox in the boot? What is the best way to control the Xbox if it's in the boot?

What sort of prices are people paying for replacement DBA Premium Rotors? What premium pads and prices are you guys also buying/paying?? Keen to replace my worn front factory premium rotors and pads..........

Will the Xbox fit under the passenger front seat and is the fan noisy?

Thanks for the great info, looks like I need to get an XBox sooner rather than later. Will the XBox fit under the passenger front seat? Does the XBox have a noisy fan like my PS2? If so, I may have to mount the XBox in the boot because my PS2 drives me crazy.....

I am very keen to know what is required to get this setup going? I don't have an XBox so I would need to buy one of these, does it need to be modded? Do you have pics of your install? Does it run off 12 Volts? Any/all info would be appreciated.

Having just got back into another BA I am keen to fit a DVD player. A couple of questions: - What model is everyone fitting (Blaupunkt ME4)? - Where is everyone mounting the Player? - Any tips/tricks to be aware of? - What's the current cost to get this done? - Any pics of installs? TIA

How do we go with insurance with lowered cars? What is the limit before the police/insurance will cause us headaches??

Steve, when you do this mod, do you add the additional pin so that the LEDs dim with the dash lights or do you hard wire it off the 12 volts?

I know, it's not a GT, but if I could afford one I would have one!! I swore I would never have stripes on an XR but this one already had them and I don't mind them at all, don't know if I will rip them off yet....
