Good advice Adrian, Ford do make those claims, not sure I believe all of them, had mine out a few times over the years. The ICC does not need to come out for the aux audio install.

Looks excellent Darren, I would put a FORD badge on the grill though. Maybe a big set of rims now?? Look out for Jeff and the Tranny team!

The flag means different things to different people. After over 20 years in the defence force to me it is so much more than "a bit of coloured canvas on a pole" Your point about better spending the money is very valid.

A bonnet bulge on anything other than a Boss BA/BF must be TRANNY by "Club Tranny Hater" definition. (ie. trying to make your car look like something it isn't). Personally, I think the bonnet bulge looks great and think everyone should buy one!

So let me get this right: - it is OK to put an XR8 bonnet onto an XR6 or XT Falcon - it is OK to fit quads (like my 300ZX) to your XR6, XR8 or GT - it is OK to have a GT-P grill on a GT - it is NOT OK to fit a set of stickers to your car that in NO way imply FPV Get on with your lives and just enjoy your own cars. No tranny boy but putting GTstripes and GT front bars and dressing them up to look like a FPV then its a TRANNY and its trying to be something it is'nt whether is faster or not Exhuast's and bonnet's are fine on xr's FPV stripes,bars and wings are'nt,by the way whats the difference between a GT-P and GT grill stooge The colour Who said someone is trying to make their car look like an FPV by putting stripes on it? Driving home from work today I took off from a standstill around a corner and had a sudden knock occur in the rear end and then a continious knock, knock, knock for about 100m. It went away after this. I drove straight to my Ford dealer and after a quick look stated that a new diff from Dana would be in stock by Tuesday next week for installation. I will let you all know how the new one goes.

Mines an ex-chaser as well, more than happy with it! I also got it for a song.

How are you going about fitting a colour ICC? Keen to do one too!

I've owned three BAs: - Blueprint, - Vixen, and - Winter White I can say I have enjoyed each colour for different reasons, I do love my current Winter White XR though, with dark tints it looks pretty good to my eyes!!

hey, how did you change your steering wheel over? by the way, your car is one of the nicest XR8s I have seen. I love the colour mate Pretty much was Warpor said, we waited about 5mins after unplugging the battery and put the airbag connections back on from memory, but it all turned out allright. Thanx for the comments on the car, I try to keep it looking it's best. The wheel look great. Whats your opinion of the wheel? How does it feel and compare to the sports wheel?

I like the wing but, as others have said, I think you should maybe change the colour of the stripes and I am not a huge fan of the tail lights.... Here's mine with black stripes:

Mine is a March 04 and it doesn't have the brake light fixture..... Must have ended about March.

My last 4 tanks averaged about 13l/100kms. About 520kms per tank if you run it out. If you give it a bit around town this figure will easily go into the 20s...

The Fairlane wheel, which is just about the same as the Sports Wheel also costs a fortune from Ford, they retail over $1200 apparently. It's just that you can get them from Ebay for a lot less. The black one with dark pear is slightly more expensive. Grey ones, which don't suit XR's can be had for $150 easy, and would be a great upgrade to a BA with a grey interior. As they are brand new and haven't been handled too much, you can get them recoloured successfully. I just got a black one with dark pearl, should be here next week. Same feel and shape as the Sports wheel, and I wouldn't pay $1200 for one of those either, but $250 delivered is a good price. I would be keen to know your thoughts on the wheel when it arrives and maybe see a couple of pics of it fitted. I am keen to buy the same wheel.
