The advice on running in cars was a good read. If I want to run my car in quicker by doing a longish drive (because as soon as I pick the car up I don't think I will get out of it) what do you recommend I do? I understand the main concern is having the revs at the same point for extended periods, should I just vary my speed by 10-20 km/h every 1/2 hr or maybe change back to third every now and then? I'm thinking a drive to the border (don't care which one) will be the first run.

Ordered my liner yesterday as well. Pick it up on Monday with the clips. Also picked up mats, scuff plates and lock nuts and I don't even have the car yet. Not long to go, not long to go, not long to go!!!!

Me too, I got mine when I placed the order. I'd be demanding one pronto if it wasn't given to me within a week of ordering. The sido proves the order has been placed with Ford to build your car, no sido=no order.

Yeah, you're right about the mobile phone aerial, what with the fines in Victoria at the moment for taking without a hands free and all!!! :lol: :D Also Dave, have you checked if the bottom of your doors are painted? Just interested as a few have commented on theirs not being painted. Now that mine is on the line I am starting to think far too much about car stuff.

Would anyone have any photos of the factory lock nuts and the lock nut socket? Would be interested in seeing them as I will have to order a set as I only have 17inch wheels and don't expect to get any.

Craig called me today with great news!!! My car has commenced construction. Bit of a surprise actually, as I only ordered the car two weeks ago and it was looking like being an April build car at one stage, but I'm not complaining. Roll on 2 weeks!!

Yeah Chris, Just forwarding would enable stickers for non-turbos I suppose.

Has any thought been put into expanding the club to include non-turbo XR6s and maybe also XR8s? I know we are welcome here and all that, but with things like stickers etc, I would feel a bit silly having fordxr6turbo.com on my non-turbo XR6. :( Maybe as simple as just registering fordXR6.com and fordxr8.com???? Don't know, just my 20 cents worth.

There is a bit of talk on aus.cars ATM about the BA Falcons Air Conditioning system. There are several people claiming the barra is almost impossible to cool on a hot day, is this correct? Has anyone had any concerns/problems with the quality of the A/C?

I was offered the glazing as well, I think I will just use wax as I have always done. I was also offered datadots (as put on HSVs etc) for $490, I am tempted, anyone offer any feedback?

Just placed my order this morning. Thanks to everyone for your feedback and advice. The service we received from westpoint has been exceptional so far. We weren't pressured and all staff have been professional and knowledgeable. The car looks like it will be an April build, would have been a March build if I didn't want the premium sound... I will call Craig Monday and get the wheels in motion for a SIDO. The wait begins.........................
