  1. I'd be interested to hear what they have to say in this letter.. Did you ask them what the purpose of the letter was?

    Not Happy Jan...

I know you really wanted a manual, but if you could live with an auto, demand they give you the car and don't pay the extra $1000 for the auto (hopefully you haven't already been charged for it). May be worth a bit more come resale....
  3. Does anyone have any photos of the location of the factory alarm siren?
  4. I think I'll be getting my oil changed at the 3000 kms service. Whilst washing and giving the car a once over yesterday, I noticed a small amount (about three pieces) of white metal swarf <sp> in the rocker cover directly under the filler cap. I was a bit surprised and if I found that how much more is running around in the engine?? I have done about 1700 kms and will definitely change the oil/filter at 3000 kms.
  5. My NA has about 1800kms and the tank looks new. I hear what you are saying harasn but I am leaning towards the yellowing of the tank being caused by turbo heat. The ones I've seen are all on turbos and it is the plastic that appears to have yellowed not just the fluid. Giant, are you sure the coolant is actually brown as well, if so, I would definitely follow harasn's advice and get it flushed. I may be wrong though.......
  6. Those that didn't get the dealer ming type protection for their cars, have you put any type of after market protector on your cloth seats? Any brands/prices? Anyone recommend anything?
  7. Yeah, mine is actually flat black. Personally I don't mind it, I think it is a nice contrast against the blueprint body when you open the bonnet. Besides, how often are you going to have the bonnet open? As Chris said, if it saves a few bucks I'm not concerned about it. By the way, congratulations Phntum, hope you enjoy your new ride!
  8. Yes, reverse sensors can be fitted ex-dealer.
  9. Anyone got any photos of them fitted to their car? Interested in seeing what they look like. They are reasonably priced and I am also contemplating fitting them. I can foresee the car getting rock chips down low because the tyres stick outside the guard line down the bottom.

    Westpoint Ford

Make that 5. I was extremely happy with westpoint.
  11. Yeah that's them Dave, thanks for the photo. I plugged it into the larger guage one. It was the only one it would fit into. The cable comes in through the grommit visible in your photo, I am almost certain it is the trailer wiring. Strange they left it disconnected. I agree the other one is probably for the reversing sensing system.
  12. It was on the RHS rear corner behind the jack, I also found two sockets under the trim the plug fits into one sockets so I plugged it in. Is this for the towpack? I can only assume it is. Wonder why it was left disconnected by the factory. Anyone else notice the same?

    New Ute....(pic)

Gundy, looks very nice. I saw a couple of venom barras whilst shopping for mine, it's one of my favorite colours!
  14. Congrats Stunner, yet another blueprint beast! I thought long and hard about the sunroof as well, I came to the same conclusion as you, not too big a job to get fitted later. Has anyone heard of a sunroof being fitted after build (ie not FPV) by the dealer etc? Anyone know cost etc? I've heard the exact same sunroof can be fitted reasonably easily. Makes sense I suppose as FPV does it after build.
  15. After 700kms in my NA I am averaging 11.3l/100kms. Mostly around town driving whilst I run it in. I am taking it easy and no full throttle take offs (hard not to do), probably explains the good economy. If the economy increases as the kms get on the engine, I am looking forward to it.
  16. Been driving since picking up the car last night. Just got back from the Great Ocean Road and took a few photos on the way home. 1 of 3
  17. How can I organise a tour of the line? Very interested in seeing where my car was "born".
  18. Looked at mine Dave, and it's the same. Only visible if you look for it though.
  19. Thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes....... I would like to thank westpoint for their great service, especially Shane (salesman), Craig (stock controller known here as "Wally") and David (new car sales manager). I ordered the car on 15 Feb 03 and here it is, what great service. I took a couple of photos this arvo and are attached. 1 of 3
  20. Many Thanks for that. Another year older! To make my Birthday perfect, the car arrived at Westpoint today, looks great. Friday pickup, I know what I will be doing this weekend.
