Did my car with the "Wet Look" for the first time today. Came up well. Was very easy to apply and remove and the look is great.

I ordered a Blueprint XR8. Let you know what it's like when it arrives.

This is becoming an epidemic... I am starting to seriuosly doubt Ford's QC department.

I have read it and there is nothing to indicate it is only on the Ghia's..or did I miss something? BTW. I'm damn sure that when I was first researching the car on the web, the auot lights on/off feature was available on the XR6T as a selected option on the price and configure form. :nuke: You're right Dave, it doesn't actually say "Fairmont Ghia" anywhere, but they are referring to the Ghia system. You're also right that this system should be an option for us, only problem would be the light sensor that is mounted in the top of the dash with this system.

Dave, Unfortunately, that's how it is supposed to work. It is an Auto-"ON" function. Made mainly for Telstra and Government cars etc. It will not turn the lights off if they are turned on manually. I think only the Ghias have the auto light feature that turn the lights on and off with ambient light.

Picked up my mud spats this afternoon. Will fit them tomorrow after work after I wash the car. Cost $50 for the set, trade price. Cheap I think.

That sounds like the same noise Mal. It sounds a bit electrical, I quite like it, sounds great when going down through the gears with the SSS.

Has anyone noticed a whistle that occurs at about 2000 rpm? It is linked to engine speed not road speed. Sounds a bit like a turbo whistle, maybe Ford fitted the turbo at the last service.. :D

How are they fitted, just screwed or some other way?

I noticed that yesterday morning. It's a safety thing, Ford realise that demist and recirc is a recipe for a fogged up windscreen, so they ensure A/C goes on if you select recirc.

I thought Ford's QC process was far better than to miss an incorrect A pillar plastic trim!

I've noticed the same thing. In the morning the fuel economy is scary!!! And I drive a non-turbo! The auto choke really does it's thing.

Iwonder if it's just a matter of getting it turned on in my XR6na? I noticed all the wiring is there for the switch when I had the alarm fitted the other day. I also would love to know, why isn't it an option for non-turbos?

I had to re-login again. I've also noticed the new posts is getting bigger and bigger, it doesn't seem to zero after I've visited the site. It shows my last visit as "Your last visit was on May 3 2003, 11:32 AM", I also think it was about this time that I had to keep logging in.

Same for me, I have to log in every time I visit. It's driving me crazy. I thought it may have only been affecting me.
