Put me down as a Maybe from NSW, leaning towards yes. Just got to sort out work and accommodation and con my old man into coming along. Looks like great fun, really keen if things work out.

Need Help Deciding: Wheels Or Full Exhaust W/ No Tune
Vitamin D replied to Vitamin D's topic in General Car Talk
Ive had it 3 weeks, so id be stupid to void my warranty before my first service. My FG is Vixen, which was why I was leaning towards the Verde Kaos wheels. Plus I think they look pretty sweet. If, as Bellato pointed out, anyone is decent with photoshop, id appreciate a pic of both sets on an FG 6T. Yea I spoke to the service manager at Highway Ford in Rutherford and he said as long as it didnt fault anything in the engine I could go for gold in regards to a full exhaust, but I guess theres no point if I dont get it tuned to make proper use of it. I didnt really consider suspension, so that's a good point, cheers. How about suspension and an XR8 CAI? Think I could get away with that with little drama? Or am I once again looking at a tune to get decent benefit from the CAI? Since warranty is such a limiting factor I may just have to go wheels and save any performance mods for a couple years down the track. Cheers for your input guys, much appreciated, keep it coming. -
Need Help Deciding: Wheels Or Full Exhaust W/ No Tune

Yea sorry mate, Im pretty new to all this. I forgot to say I was leaning towards wheels but thought if I could get away with not having a tune I would consider it. -
Hey guys, I sold my ute on tuesday and have around $4 grand left to spend on my 6T. I've been back and forth about what to go with. A couple mates think I should go for a mild steel system, but I'm curious as to how would it go without a tune because I dont want to void warranty. The other possible option is a set of TSW Interlagos wheels or some Verde Kaos wheels. So I'm relying on you guys to help decide. Be gentle... Interlagos Verde Kaos MBR

Steering Shudder Under Braking - Intermittent
Vitamin D replied to RZR's topic in Suspension and Handling
Had this exact issue with my BA MkII ute mate. Turned out to be my discs. Replaced them the first time and it came back a few months later. Got them machined after that and didnt have any issues after that. As Impellor said, they are notorious for this. Id probably start with the brakes first. -
Yea I agree with Dillz and frogg. Before I even read their comments I was thinking it seemed a little suss. When I was looking for a ute on Carsales 2 years ago I had a run in with a dodgy bugger on there. Best to check those things out thoroughly before commiting even $1 mate. Not being racist but the guy's name sounds a bit dodgy too...

Yea my bad, didnt read that part. Didnt think it sounded too terrible but I guess each to their own.

Im considering something like this. I dont have the cash as yet to go a full system and all the jazz. Thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT4lfukEDBI&feature=fvwrel

How much did you insure it for? And whats your excess? Cos im 23 and have never even had a ticket and mine was $1000 with my no claim bonus and multi-policy discount. Just curious.

What about these? Pretty keen on them

Cheers mate. Yea it definately stands out. I wish I could say I was the one who put it on there, but the original owner got it made by some company called Aggressive Auto Panels, I think they're up Goldy way. Im considering getting something done by the same guys for my new 6T.

Finally got some pics of my BA Ute and thought id post one, not sure if anyone has seen me getting about.

Nice looking cars mate. The BF looks a little similar to my BA MkII. All the best with them. :sungum:
