  1. thanks jet I think I closed the gap a little more cause of the E85 .7 not sure they are due to be changed after MADMAX cruise I'll check them then, atm im running 98 tune im only running 14psi so it should be ok thanks again
  2. If your trying to mod your car on the cheap I wouldnt (my opinion) do it right! bit by bit if you have to, that's my advice to you I did my car the same way bit by bit, things can get quite expensive when you start modding not everyone has the luxury of having lots of cash handy at one time to do these mods, in the end you will have a great car that's quick and most importantly RELIABLE!! good luck mate hope this helps!!
  3. yes good point on fill ups I changed back to 98ron tune and already have seen the difference in mileage over the past few days, I find it alot easier to start the car in cold mornings, what are your plugs gapped at red?
  4. Hi mate sctx3 flash tune is what im running stores up to 3 programs stock and 2 modded tunes sounds like she is hunting at idle, hmm hasnt gone into limp mode which good, get it flash tuned, dynoed check out some of the tech forums here lots of good info the guys really know what their talking about hope this helps mate good luck lets hope it gets sorted and welcome!!
  5. you need up to 30% more fuel when on E85, go to wiki E85 it says it there, the E85 website here in Australia it says it there as well, E85 has less energy so you use more fuel I dont post to start arguments go check it out thnx
  6. I said UP TO 30% not 30% flat.... and those figures are right it will vary on what type of tune you have but around those figures is spot on I run E85 24/7 and my L/100 is 16.8 atm I know if I start using the 98 ron it will drop to high 12.0L/100
  7. E85 is cheap to buy, but you use up to 30% more fuel on avarage....so in the end the only gains are horsepower and a cleaner burning fuel, there might be some other reason but.... they dont come to mind lol
  8. Cant friggin wait its gonna be awesome!!, watching you guys cruisin along.... got the bug bad, will be a great day!!
  9. my mechanic said exact same thing Paulie right on the money!
  10. I wont have that problem as my body shop is AAMI prefered repairer has been for years....but good info for those that arent sure where they stand on this sort of stuff good post!!
  11. AAAhhh your access is high that's why your at $700.00 is it full comp? my access is only $400.00 full comp
  12. Dion Said to me cause I change my oil EVERY 5000kms its not an issue.....I run a full synth 10w-50...he says its more short starts and stops when the motors doesnt have enough time to build up heat to evaporate the condensation which forms in the sump, once the engine is hot enough the water residue just boils away.....so my opinion regard less change oil often 5000 km or less, under close examination of my oil coming out of the sump nice and hot was golden/brown in colour no sign of contaminaton but....there was an overwhelming smell of Ethanol in the oil itself but Dion said its all good...hope that helps guys
  13. I used to work at Fowles Auction Group many years ago, at that time I was working with I guy named Tim wont say his surname he showed me some MADMAX footage of the behind scenes his uncle was one of the main stuntmen riding the motorcycles, the one in particular I remember is where he goes a$$ over head on the bridge and the bike cracks him in the back of the helmet that was his uncle...havent seen Timmy for many years , last time I saw him he was living in Bacchus marsh.....we used to ride road bikes together...just thought you might be interested in my story...
  14. $700.00 AAMI.......... im with AAMI mine $1000.00 and rating 1 old fart.....$700.00???? I think I better ring them up and have a word to them....
  15. Hey guys just thought id give you all a heads up!! there is an interesting article in zoom magazine regarding "E85 oil contamination" and how using E85 shows short and long term effects it has on the oil that you are using and your engine, dont know if anyone has read it yet...... scary stuff (my opinion) my car is getting serviced tomorrow so ill have a chat with Dion see what he reckons

  18. I Gave you all the information about VECCI and you still dont believe it that's ok no probs, have a good day!
  19. Yes Caltex do alter eflex, I asked them when I was low on fuel oneday, up to 75% ethanol that's what the manager told me, it will vary they use less ethanol in winter for cold starts so I was told, dont shoot the messenger, that's why I buy my ethanol at United its has a higher concentration of ethanol...my car has been tuned to run E85 not eflex. If I use eflex my car runs like Cr*p
  20. Dammm sounds like you guys had an awesome day hopefully I can make it next time...
  21. Sorry if I didnt word it right in the begining guys but....that's what I meant ehe
  22. E85 is high in octane arount 105 which gives you more room to up the timing I made more horsepower and torque from E85 compaired to 98 with less boost!! I used to run 15psi on 98 now I run 14psi that's with full tank of E85 not a 50/50 mix gained 28.9 rwkw dyno sheet to prove it, as far as filters are concerned I reckon change them often
  23. like I said some still charge fees VECCI still has an ongoing $2.75 monthly charge for direct debit monthly accounts....if on the other hand you pay direct debit annualy then there is no charge so my point is "some still charge fees for direct debit monthly accounts" have a nice day guys!!
