I installed the CAI today using Kaines measurements.Had no dramas at all putting it in with those measurements.. Thx Kaine

My mate paid $850 for his at Best Mufflers but its not the stainless steel one,its just mild steel.I have the centre muffler removed and have put hotdog in place and his car sounds a little deeper and noisier but he has about 40kw on me..

One of my mates has it with a unichip & injectors.He had 242rwkw before exhaust and got 267rwkw after exhaust was put on. Try best mufflers website for more details,that's where he got it installed

The interior in my car was made by Blackman & Sons.The door trims have a colour coded section as well..

I got my hands on 2 today.I took some photos.To the guys who have the Typhoon CAI,does it look the same.I cant tell any difference. I paid $54each.. :hiwelcome:

Waxyjj,is the part the same as the Typhoon cai??

Ive tried 6 dealers to get the Typhoon CAI.All of them told me no, so ive ordered a part that someone mentioned in another thread.Its BAF-9C676B. A couple of dealers said the part is for the BF and that Ford have stopped releasing the part.A guy at Peter Warren done some searching and found out there is 10 in Melbourne.He had a look at the part on his computer and he cant tell the difference between it and the BA2T9C676A which is the typhoon part. Ive ordered one and it should be in tomorrow so I'll post up a picture when I get it

It could be more then 2 applications left,just a guesstimate.We may have used too much this time but next time we do it we wont use as much..The tin is only 300grams..

Yep its the little cheeseburger type pad,feels a little different to the old ones ive used with Meguiars polish.My old man applied the wax which he did back and fourth,I polished it off the same way with the terry towells..I also bought some of the speed detailer.Gotta love 20% off at Autobarn

You dont leave any swirl marks with this wax.my dad got told by a guy in his car club not to polish off wax in a circular motion but to do it back and fourth,similar to when you use a chamois.It comes with an applicator and you use terry towelling to buff off..There is enough left for another 2 applications at least..

I gave the car a wash and then waxed it with the new Meguiars wax..Im very happy with the result.The photos dont really do it justice as its very overcast today!! All I need is to get it lowered and ill be happy with the looks,then its time to save money for injectors and custom tune

I went to a Ford dealer today in Sydney with part number from cobramad(BAF-9C676B).They told me it was a part off the XR8.The attatchment is a printout they gave me.Does this look like the right part??

..These are pics of my mates XR6T.He had lowered today with the SL's at the front and the SSL's at the back.To me the car looks lower then some of the other cars pictured on here with the same setup.I was going to get the same but his exhaust scraped over speed hump and it still has to settle yet..

I paid $29,500 for it.We tried to knock down the price a little bit more but the car is in excellent condition.These are a couple of photos before I bought it.Ill take some more once I give it a good clean.Any opinions on the wheels??Im going to lower it and see if they look good if not im gunna buy some XHP JET'S I think..

Ive got the mod bug already..One of my mates has a XR6T with 267rwkw and I went for a drive in that today.It wont be too long till I get the edit..

Im getting a K&N filter tomorrow and am trying to get my hands on a F6 snorkel.My bro in law works for Ford and he can only get me one if I can get my hand on a vin from a Typhoon.

After being a member on here for about 14mths reading about the XR6T I finally bought one today. Its a 2003 model,Auto,Phantom,Premium sound,Leather,18's(off AU TE50) and 32k's.I bought it in Canberra and drove it back to Sydney,so it was a good drive to see if there was any dramas with it.For a stock car they go good when you give a bootfull at 110km/h.. Ill post some photos tomorrow when I get a chance..Not sure about the wheels I keep telling my wife that if I get an EDIT it will lower the fuel consumption..If I keep annoying her hopefully she will tell me to do what I want.(fingers crossed).

Links advice is definately the best.Ill go to both Intune and MRT and talk to both places.I wont be getting one of the "mobile" tunes from the tuners who do that as I dont like the fact that a day after the tune is done and something goes wrong the guy could be on the other side of Australia..HPF definately looks the goods but its a long drive and I couldnt hide that trip from the finance minister..I could just tell her I want to take her on a shopping holiday to Melbourne,drop her at the shops at 9am and pick her up at the end of the day with the new tune.She would be none the wiser..

I was wondering if anyone has had their car tuned at Intune lately??The location is very close to me but I remember reading a while ago that a couple of guys had trouble with AFR's..

The car is still covered by Fords factory warranty so I wont have any dramas getting things fixed if needed I hope..

My brother in law works for a dealer so I gave him the VIN and he told me whats been done to it.Its been in for brake shutter,had the cooling system reflushed at 30,000km and also had the reflash done 3mths ago..

I spoke to a guy today who had painted his calipers the same colour as his car..Looked good,not ricey in my opinion.He sprayed a base coat of high temp paint to start with,then he sprayed 2 coats of the colour followed by 3 coats of high temp clear coat.He had the colour made up in a pressure can. He used vasoline on the discs which enabled him to move the disc while he was painting hard areas and when he was finished he just wiped off the vasoline which had all the overspray on it.He tried masking tape on discs but when you turn disc the tape got stuck on the calipers..

One of my mates had his centre muffler removed and it sounded very good.no drone.He changed to a x-force system after about 3mths and it was actually a little quieter but still sounded good.
