I'll have my camera with me.If we arent close in the staging and you dont mind me using the mounting with the camera that wld be great.The last time I raced the wife didnt see me racing and videoed my mates car instead of mine

The more power you make the more stress is gunna be put on gearbox.As exahsix said with the new cooler youll have less heat soak and more consistent boost and power.Other than the gearbox I think the valve springs are going to be the next weakest link..

Sounds good.Let me know when your back in business and we will definately organise something.I have a couple of mates with a 10sec rx3 and a r100 that's done 11's that regularly go for cruises on Thursday nights out to penrith and back along the Highway..Ill get them to come along if you dont mind the brap braps

Just read on Dragster that Phil Read done a 4.65@320mph in qual tonight. Hopefully weather will be good again tomorrow and there will be some more quick times.

Chopper they are mucking up but not all the time,mainly on cool nights.Dont know if its tune related but its one of the few things I want to get done on the car so im doing it while I can.

I had custom tune done a couple of months ago and im getting valve springs put in next week,is it necessary to get a retune on the car after valve springs are installed.

Thx mate,I'll look into it tomorrow.Im not worried about Ford cause warranty is finished and it definately wont be going there for a service.

I was checking my crossover hose clamps today and noticed the rear one had a split in it and the rubber was ripping away.Has anybody changed to silicone or something stronger or should I just go and get another one from Ford..

Kaine I know that Northmead Auto's do strenthening on the XR boxes.Im not sure if anyone on here has used them but that's who a couple of tuners have told me to go to..

I had the same thing happen to me.Just after my car was on dyno I was driving home when boost gauge went to zero and I lost power.I checked all the connections(hoses etc) and couldnt find anything loose.I then reflashed back to standard and then back to the map and the power was back..Seemed very weird.. The only other thing I checked while loading the tune back in was the nylon tubing for the boost gauge..

If the tuner has tuned your car to how you like it and it performs to your expectations than why wouldnt you be happy. Most people on here know that x doesnt tune aggresively on cars,especially if the car hasnt got strenthened gearbox etc.. It seems to me that the tuners in Sydney are tuning the cars without pushing the limits down low while in mexico and Simon(WA)seem to know how to tune for more down low and how far to push the cars.my 2c worth..

Saleen you could still race.Have a run,duck down to the Eastern Creek Tavern and watch Green knock Mundine out in the 1st round then come back and knock out DBOSS on the track.

DARREN if you know of a tuner in Sydney that has got as good 1/4 mile results with EDIT tunes as the mexicans can you let us know. I know of alot of cars with high dyno readings but not any real quick times,especially with just a custom tune and maybe injectors or springs.

FR33DY it would be unreal if you could bring your car out to the creek on the 17th of May and give it a run.There is a link in Nsw cruises!! Im sure if the time or atleast the mph is good that Tunehouse could get some business out of it.
