Matt. The speedo on these cars are 7kmph out on the high side on the standard 18s as per my Navman.My Brother just put a set of 20s on his car and as per his Navman it is perfect now. Hope this helps.

Towed my Brothers Southwind SR20 from Sydney to Brisbane in 1 day no problems.The TT has some weight to handle these big heavy loads. 72 litre tank as well so got 550 towing the boat up there and 650/680 on the way back cruising. He liked it so much he went and bought one. The bottom has the good rods in it and the valve springs are the same.Dont have to replace them. Just check out all the suspension bushes before buying a second hand one.The front and rear bushes will need replacing regardless if it has some age and Kms on it. Done mine already and he got his replaced under warranty.

My brother had his exhaust debunged at Brendale.We put some 440s in,Did the plugs when he came down to Sydney last week. Spiro from Autotech then did tune and he got 240awkw. The exhaust sounds terrible so are looking into a new systym now. He fitted a full 3.5 S/S systym to my car 2 months ago with a new tune.

All my turbo bolts where loose to mate plus the exhaust manifold as ususal.If you need a new complete core there is a guy in Brisbane selling brand new cores for $1300.00 with 12 months warranty and a ford screen filter.I thought I might have to do the same but lucky this time I think.Hope you one is Ok.Good luck.

Guys. I just had mine replaced after 150000km as oil light flashing on start up for a second or 2.I dont think it is a good idea not to run this filter on the block at all. They are only around $60.00 complete from Ford and not hard to fit on the Falcons so why wouldnt you.There is a reson for Garrett not giving warranty claims without the use of them. The have modified the inner filter screen anyway on the the new units. I replace my oil with good quality stuff every 10K and it still got blocked up so be careful.These turbos seem to be popping now with lack of oil flow threw them when they get some age into them. Spend the $60.00 for piece of mind.It will cost you over 3K for a new rebuilt core.

Your right mate,Standard Territory on Gas is a good thing.You dont loose your cargo space in the rear either. Standard Territorys on petrol are lucky to get 350km out of a tank around the city.Think they lost all there sales from this issue. Lets hope the new oiler will get 800kms they really need from $70.00.

Those torque figures look good for a start. The motor will get around 8/900kms to a tank as well I assume. I think they will sell them quite easilly.

What a waste.This has been the best Ford I have ever owned.Stealth,Power and grip is the go. I am sure they could of sold a couple of hundred thousand in the US if Ford let them in. Why didnt they let some tuner have a go at tuning the things properly to get another 100kms out of the tank.I get a easy 650km out of 70 litres on the sydney/Brisbane run for the past 3 years.

Chris. You should look at the government Auctions as well as the Police where offloading all there Turbo Ts for a while now.Any colour as long as white. You might want to have a look at a 2nd hand Lexus RX330 as well for 30K or Mazda CX7 for that matter.

Mal. Do you have any friends that are a member of Capricorn over there in the auto industry. I just fitted 4 brand new Kumho Road Ventre/235/55/R18 100V for $220 fitted each.Hope this helps.

Chris. You should be able to get a decent ghia [Non Turbo for that 30K.Make sure they do a full inspection of the suspension before buying. You wiill have to look out for these items to see if have been replaced or not. Lower front balljoints are failing on all models. Front diff bushes for sure on 4WD models. 3 bushes in rear holding diff all failing/All models. Some cars are getting rust around the rear window lower right hand edge. Rear shocks failing/Bushes plus going soft.Front shocks going soft plus rear end springs sagging. Windows dropping out of channels on front and assorted trim bits and pieces. Front brake hoses will have to replaced and rears as per recall/Non turbo. Expect only 300/350kms out of 70 litres for a standard one as well. I am aware of these things as have 5 mates with assorted Terris and all the same problems occuring. All the running gear seems to be good but and quite a nice car to drive.

Hi Guys. Has anybody taken delivery of a new G6 on straight Gas?. How big is the gas tank What is the milage out of one tank?. Are Ford switching over to a new Orbital Gas Vapour systym or has this already been done. What does the car go like. Any comments would be much appreciated. I am considering a new G6 limited the they are advertiseing at present

You know the story mate.How long do discs last after a machine?500Ks.Waste of time. Have been threw the DBA cross drilled and slottled stuff with my last Turbo ute and a waste of time.They just crack.

Thank you for your feedback as everything you suggested was shagged.Taa. Pedders dont do the front diff bushes or the outer 2 rear diff yet but he did advise he is very pleased when a territory visits his workshop.2WD or 4WD You where spot on.

I should also note that my front discs are warped badly and will require all new ones. I have spoken to pedders and they have just bought out some new bushes for these cars that are alott cheaper than fords and better quality.They are the hardened red bushes. They have at present Complete lower front balljoints with the control arm and 2 bushes for $180.00 brand new Centre rear diff bush $210.00 I think. They are gearing up to do the outer rear bushes plus the 2 front bushes in the front for the diff. There getting so much call for them as the kind fella said.

Eb. You where right mate.Had the car inspected today before I got the front diff bushes done. I need 2 front diff bushes. 2 lower balljoints. 3 rear diff bushes rear shock bushes chewed out too. Just fantastic news.

Dyno. Can you give me the specs of tyres etc as got offered some 20s the other day to suit. I dont want to run 35 series tyres either. Have you got 45s on yours and what was the lowering measurement you did?. Did you use king springs?. What does the car ride like now as dont want to sacrifice ride quality either.I like it abit cruisy. Can you post a picture if you have time and when suits of the gap of your tyres to the top of front panel if possible.

Got any goods news mate for me/Geez. My front window is getting abit sticky actually/Wont come down sometimes. What is the correct way for the lower balljoints to be tested.I have jacked up to take load of joint and then got a huge bit of wood to lever up on the bottom of wheel.There does not seem to be any play?. The brakes are huge on these cars/Rotors etc.Why they warping so bad.

Dyno J. Turn your wheel all the way to the left and have a look with a torch. I would say there they are stuffed. I have done 130K on very very easy Ks mate. I think maybe when you add some power the bush on side to side chopps out as cant put up with the force/Maybe. The 2 bushes at present have no rubber at all on each side.Totally chopped out. I really dont flog this car either. I would not have noticed it until it was up in the air on a hoist with wheels off/Front.I have what seems to feel like a bad disc warp when say towing my boat going down a hill when the brakes get hot. Any reports of rear end bushes chopping out.

I got a price of $650.00 to do both bushes from power ford as my mechanic mate does not want to do them. Do you think it worth having them check all the bushes in the front end before going ahead. I have checked the Balljoints and they seem to be OK. I tend to agree with the last post regarding the things being shagged.I think they would struggle under heavy power and braking. The sensation of warped discs is happening at present under heavy braking.I think the whole diff is moving around at this point.

Hi Guys. Had my TT serviced today and noticed the 2 large front diff bushes behind front left hand wheel completly shagged. I find this strange as dont flog the car ever and dont bush bash.Seems quite odd. Has anybody had these replaced as yet? Where from and how much?.
