Letting my wife drive 325rwkw fg around while I take the commo to work.. Damn it!!!

Have hear fitting the gtx is a bit of stuffing around.. Is the precision in the same boat??

My turbo is starting to develop a noise in spin down when I shut the car off.. Pretty sure I might not see the turbo for much longer.. Currently setup: 1000hp rapid cooler setup. 60lb Dekas Walbro 255 intank 4inch dump and twin 2.5 xforce 12psi turbosmart actuator and wastegate flapper mod. I want to just replace turbo for now as can't afford much more.. Later kpm intank and 1000cc injectors and probably eflex What turbo would you suggest and what should I see on pump fuel with current setup on either turbo???

When and where is the next one? I missed out on this one.. A Saturday night would be nice.. Fridays are a shocker for me

Fuel System To Suit Fg With Precision 6235?
pac23 replied to pac23's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
What can I expect as max power out of safe use of 1000cc injectors and have many people used the kpm 1000cc injectors?? -
Can I ask if this problem was being caused by full synth oil. Has anyone pulled down mains and big ends at the same time as I would expect to see the same result? This sound like it's purely bad manufacture as I don't see how semi-synth would save the cams or any other part of the motor.. I would have an fg on nulon and tuned for 325rwkw for 40k. No issues as yet.. I would love to see some solid research on this and the effects of full synth on these motors...

Hi all, Sadly I am going to have to sit this one out I wouldn't be able to get to the meeting point till 9.30.. Wife is at work and won't be home till 8.30 and I have to look after the kids till then.. Absolutely spewing but life gets in the way of fun sometimes.. I'll be wishing I was there, have a cracker everyone...

Fuel System To Suit Fg With Precision 6235?

I think that a single 460 will do me. If there wasn't much in price I would do it but it's more then double.. I currently have Siemens 60lb in.. What are they going to max out at?? Anyone using kpm 1000cc and what is their limitation in eflex?? I have no plans for 500+rwkw so as long as the system will be capable or sub 500 I'll be happy -
Plazmaman, Process West Turbo Side Intakes

I am surprised that their is talk of power differences between the 2... They are basically the same thing power difference would really really surprise me if there was one that was proven... -
Agreed. The price paid for a pipe a few clamps and some pieces of aluminium really a but crazy.. Not hard to make yourself and 4inch is definitely the go..
-
Yeah mate would love some pics and list of parts used as I wanna make mine up pretty soon too..

It doesn't restrict an unknown pressure as such but It will only allow the amount of oil into the turbo via its own fitting that is necessary.. You can try and pump as much in as you want ie. removing supply screen but the size of the Garrett fitting will only allow what it wants.. You basically can't over oil the turbo as far as I am aware
-
Good idea.. Personal opinion is that in the original run in of the engine their is quite a bit of small metallic particles floating around so the filter is a great idea to protect you turbo but after the first few oil changes chuck it.. If you have enough metallic matter in their to damage you turbo I am pretty sure that is the least of your worries...
-
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't the oil supply fitting on the turbo have the restriction I only allow 40-45 psi??? These turbos are not made specific for xr6 so considering that every engine and filtration system is different I would assume that Garrett would just restrict their turbo to suit their own specifications.. If this the case measuring line pressure will really tell you nothing..
