  1. Hello I will take to ford- I am in 2 minds- take to ford directly or take to a good mechanic? might just bite the bullet and tae it there. thanks for your feedback.
  2. Thanks guys- I will get a genuine o2 and put that in. The throttle body I have checked and it appeared to be clean. The engine mounts have been checked- will see how I go. Will keep you posted.
  3. hello when I stated in neutral I mean stationary also. I noticed something today, started the car up from cold and the when I turned the steering wheel slightly the vibration through the wheel was really bad- I went full lock from left to right and when turning right it squeeked a little. Could this be an issue with the power steering? As far as the speed goes it is no better or worse at speed- The diff is not noisy- (well typical noise- not crazy. I am at wits end at the moment.
  4. Hello the diff bushes are red. Nolothane from pedders- was shuddering before this. Also in regards to the o2 sensor I have already got a new one- been in for about 2 months.? not sure if this is the problem? unless is a faulty one? it was a different look to the original but assured that it is for the XR6T. ?? I have a mate who works for a diff place I might take the car to him and get him to have a look.
  5. Hello All Has been a while- I have spent a bit of time in the BA and getting things done. Recently got new rear shocks and diff bush done. I am at wits end as to what is going on with the old girl, when I start the car hot or cold and I get to the first set of lights and wait there the car feels like it wants to surge forward- the revs drop and it is at a stage where I think it may stall- gets to around 500 RPM. Once it gets going seems ok. I still have a shudder I am thinking that it might be buckled wheels- I have tried to put them at the back but I don't know what options I have other than buying new wheels and hoping this is the problem. Even at idle I feel a slight shudder through the wheel- would a tailshaft balance cause a shudder at idle? In drive or in neutral still has the same feel??? Please help p.s the shudder doesn't matter if I am doing 20Kph or 110kph still the same feel through the wheel- the passenger seat I can see shudder when driving also??? really bloody annoying
  6. Hey all- Some things that you need to look out for- 1- Discs- if original will more than likely be warped- upgrade to DBA slotted and new pads- 2- Diff bushes- if clunking in rear end then probably need done 3- just point on discs once done may need on car machining as the hubs are usually a bit hows it going. 4- Coils common problem- need new coil packs maybe. 5- Plugs- they chew through plugs get new ones Hope the points help you- Also one issue I had was boost actuator needed done also
  7. hello all- Update-I have got rear diff bushes done- and 2 x rear shocks done at pedders- Drove the car to brisbane from NSW- had a shudder the whole way- kept me awake lol. So I still have the following issues- shudder through car- worse when going down incline. and now an issue where the car with a splutter when waiting at lights- misses every now and again. I am going to try and get new rims as I think this may be part of the problem. Any other suggestions? I might get new hubs.
  8. Thanks Guys- All will be revealed tomorrow at Pedders- I will get them to have a look at the front end- see how I go from there. I took it to another mechanic today who took it for a drive. He said that it drove really well- he couldn't feel any vibration- maybe I am sensitive to this stuff? I can only hope that I find the problem or I will have to wear padded driving gloves so I don't feel them- lol
  9. The feeling through the wheel is more of a shudder with the steering wheel feeling like it is shuddering up and down- not left to right like a wheel balance problem. I am so over trying to find the fault.
  10. Are there any more specialised places in Western sydney that will not rip me off and get the issue resolved that you know of- I am cutting it tight as I only have Thursday and Friday this week?
  11. Thanks Senna My understanding is the clunks from the rear and reverse to forward clunks are diff but I didn't think that wobble would come from diff. I don't want to spend the $600-$700 for diff bushes if this will not help the vibration.
  12. Hello All- I need your help I have had a few issues with my BA- I am getting pretty frustrated at the old girl at the moment. The issue that I have outstanding is a slight shudder through the steering wheel- and I believe there is an issue with the rear of the car.- feels quite a harsh small vibration/ shudder at any speed. What I have done so far- Wheel balances- A number of them completed at various different places. New DBA slotted rotors and Bendix brakes- Machined on the car- is not a braking issue. Had the wheels checked for bent rims- they are not too bad- a slightly buckled one put on the back. New tyres on front. Had the Bake booster adjusted. I have had the car inspected by my regular mechanic who has checked the control arm bushes and the diff bush and said that they don't seem bad. I have however had another performance company check the car and they said there are some major issues in the rear and said I need the diff bushes replaced before I have more major problems. Would Diff bushes cause my problem? I have booked in to get my rear diff bushes done on friday at Pedders but if this doesn't fix my vibration/ shudder issue I will be pissed. Diff issues- going from reverse to forward it clunks- over bumps is a bit harsh- no major whine- can hear it but nothing crazy- On the hoist I can see a tear in the rear bush- would this cause my issues. Sorry about the long post- I am desperate- If this isn't the problem- Ideas? I need a solution as I am going to the Gold Coast on Saturday :0)
  13. in neutral- feels almost like it is trying to surge or some tension there somewhere.
  14. Hello All 2003 BA XR6t 100k on the clock. When I start the car it idles a little rough but the main issue is there is a slight shudder through the car coming from the rear- can feel it through the car itself. Any ideas- driveshaft balance problem? I am unsure what it could be? You help is appreciated.
  15. Hey sorry just going through old posts. Update is I ended up getting a new turbo actuator which helped an overboost problem. I got a new o2 sensor which has dropped it down to about 16.2l/100 I am going to disconnect the piggy back tomorrow and see how I go. Will update once done.
