Picking up my new car today... 07 Fairmont in Ego with 6sp Auto

Anyone experienced the following... I flashed my car back to factory. Sold my CAPA box to someone else. They took it to get it unlocked and it came up as still locked to my car, even though I definitely flashed it to factory (and it drives like a factory XR to prove it!) The poor bloke I sold the box to is having a bit of a run-around to figure it out... good thing I still have access to my car to try and re-flash it to factory! Anyone else experienced this with a second hand box?

Hey lads n lasses! I know I'm not a very active member any more (well I guess you could say I'm a very inactive one) but I'm still around. Good to see heaps of regulars still enthusiastic about the WA gatherings! My car is now for sale, available now. There is a thread in the cars for sale forum... if anyone knows anyone who is interested can you please let them know! It's time for me to get something newer and less likely for me to spend money on it, so I'm probably going for a Fairmont BF2 (found one with a 6sp auto!) or a Futura with options if I can find one. My car is selling for 18000 ono and will be fitted with a new clutch plate (organic) next week. The rest of the car is schmick! So if you know anyone interested pls forward them the details. If it doesnt sell in a couple of weeks I'll be forced to trade it for a lot less, and the car yard is sure to stick 21k+ on the price tag. Cheers, Steve

Plenty of people have done it... if you use the good oil (Z or redline) it will last a while longer

What are you shaving?

What's scary about it? It's sealed, fairly straight (except for the hairpins), one-way and it's not that high! There's plenty of shrubs to catch you if you slippppppppp... but seriously I have been down there quite quickly and it was easy, so at a slow pace it will not wet your seat.
