Ford Fg Cigarette Lighter Not Working
andreew replied to Leighszabo's topic in Audio/Visual Workshop
Interior fuses are in the passenger footwell behind that plastic cover thing you can pull out. -
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rollow/204630176234841?ref=br_tf I'm looking at a rear kit for mine. I have also found a company that make the brackets, supply the bags/pumps/tanks/etc if you want to do it yourself.

I believe it is. When I got my subs installed they spliced and got the signal from before the amp, that way they didn't need to worry about the signal being filtered.
-
If you do end up fitting these please post photos/videos. I'd love to see how they go!
-
Yup exactly something like that. Just getting the size right is the tricky bit.
-
Wow that's a good price.. Cheaper then eBay haha. Whats the best way to measure how big to get the spacers made? Edit: what are the standard Ford specifications for the spacers?
-
Quick random question.... Anyone here know of anyone selling any hub centric spacers?

Here's the link to the lot of 10 (it's a shortened fleabay link): http://bit.ly/15mIfdy Probably good to keep spare just incase. I've noticed the other parker LED has started flashing, meaning it's on it's way out. So I'll be swapping that over too. And yes they are the same globes for the numberplate

Got the bugger out! I used long nosed tweezers with a massive wrap of very sticky double sided tape on the end. I attached a length of wire to the other end of the tweezers incase I dropped them. Installed the parker again and it had died, so I ordered some new bulbs off eBay. They are 6000k white T10 0.5W 9-diode bulbs. I got a lot of 10 of them off eBay for less than $6 delivered. I think I'll be trying them as interior lights too!

Hey guys I have a day off so I'll be giving it a shot today. I like the vacuum and hose idea! I've been keeping an eye on it and it's moved into the low beam light housing so it should be easier. And I'm lucky because it's on the battery side.. So no mucking around with the air intake! Wish me luck haha. I'll upload some photos of the globe when I get it out, it's a standard Parker globe and it's the same type that you find in the interior. The globes I used are 9 part wedge LEDs. They are white 6000k to match the color of my HIDs.

Last night I noticed one of my Parker's was out, so naturally went to see if it was a loose connection or it had blown. I popped open the bonnet and twisted the parker holder/connector thing only to have the damn thing drop inside the headlight. How the heck do I get it out? And to make it worse its all the way at the front, which makes it unreachable from screwdrivers with sticky tape lol. Any ideas? Only thing I can think of is removing the whole headlight and shaking it out. Ps. Can anyone advise on the easiest way to get a headlight out?

I like this ^

It surprisingly really isn't that bad.. I only scrape when I have people in the car over speedbumps

Quick update Installed the Xforce 2.5inch catback exhaust. And installed 2x 1000W Pioneer subs in the boot. Afew users have requested a video of the exhaust, so as soon as my internet is uncapped, ill be uploading a video of the sound.

Less chat, more pics. Here's a better photo of mine. SSSL fronts and Torana rear springs. Wouldn't mind going SSSSL rears, or even splurge a little and get airbag rears.
-
My Internet has been capped so I'm waiting for it to come back before I can upload a video. And yes it is bolt on.
-
Just catback for now. I'm looking at getting headers and a cat soon, however you need a tune for that. Okay I'll try get a video tomorrow mate.

With the FGs and the FG MK2s all cars are at a stock height with the exception of the XR6/XR6T/XR8 and the FPV range which are lowered. I'm not sure exactly how much difference, I'd say around the 20mm mark, because they do sit high. And you do have a surprising amount of room under the FGs, I have 19s and 3SL front and spring that are between 3SL and 4SL on the rear and I have never had issues.
-
P-platers unfortunately don't have that luxury haha I personally have never liked shell fuels But I guess it's a matter of opinion. I however like to stick to 100 octane from United stations.
-
^ I think I need to invest in 4sl's soon
-
There is SSSSL for the rear on the FG, and I'm pretty sure those springs will tuck tyre.

The noise the SS growler kit makes alone is worth getting it haha imo
-
I went with the SS kit including the Big Mouth c.a.I. and im really happy with the results.. better performance, economy and that noise. I actually had afew people stop at the lights and ask me if I was driving a turbo on my Ps hahaha But it is more expensive so its up to you. I went for the SS kit because being a P-Plater you are likely to be pulled up and inspected, and a massive hole in your intake will surely get you a nice yellow sticker and a trip down to VicRoads/EPA. The SS kit (if you take the stickers off) will atleast look more standard and provide a better flow of COLD air flow directly from the grille of the car. But in the end of the day it is up to you.

go xforce 2.5inch, that's what I have on mine and im happy. what im thinking of doing, and I suggest if you want even more noise, is eventually add the varex muffler
