  1. Actuator is brand new So if I bypass solenoid will this be better for the n/a engine I'm taking in wot u r saying so less boost is best? For longjeperdy I'm meaning
  2. Is it best to run waste gate through the electric solenoid or run hose direct ( will this lower the boost) Cheers for the advise ?
  3. Thanks for the advise ladz and soz if I came a cross a bit of a wank Just I've had heaps of slack for doing this conversion I'm just running standard boost and no I'm not flogging the guts out of it I actually only get to drive it once maybe twice a week as the wife uses it for a daily runner. The only other mod I've done is replaced the oil line to the turbo with 6mm int twin wire high temp hydraulic hose ( using correct fitting) As for going so freakn hard as one of the ladz put it , it does go heaps better but wallet and licience tell me just to take it easy.... Do u guys think it will hang out if it driven modestly n not cained???
  4. U should read up on all specs Pinging no Percentage of turbo being spooled up in comparrison to previous engine is halved due to hvcia U got any real experience on this topic or just trying to be a hero
  5. Bf will plug directly into ba loom No s@&t it will bf has 2 knock sensors just take one off Couple dumb little things but keep ya other motor to swap bits until its finished
  6. Hey dude I got a xr6t it had 19" typhoon rims so I went to 20" never had any probs on the ba
  7. I've just done this to my BA-t Put I'm a n/a bf, oil filter is different but all else bolts straight up. You will need a turbo sump for the oil return I returned the boost to factory settings with new actuator and a cold inductor air take from ss industries . Car runs awesome More responsive off boost and better fuel economy any Q's just ask . Oh and I put the red top on so no one would no lol!!
  8. Does it start to breakdown between 3500-4000 rpm?
  9. I've just changed the engine and box in my ba Changing from ba turbo to n/a bf was simple as everything bolted straight on including the tubo mannifold. Wiring is the same except the bf has 2 knock sensors( just take one off) the map sensor on turbo is 2 psi the map sensor on n/a is 1 psi But used same manifolds so nothing had to be changed. Power is awesome It doesn't have that lag off the mark like the turbo block and is very responsive on and off boost Anyone looking for a turbo head?
  10. I've just replaced my turbo engine in my ba with a n/a bf engine and box . Put the red top on and runs awesome on standard boost with a ss cold induction kit. Old motor went into self distruct after waste gate actuator stopped working. This is the ghost misfire at 3500-4000 rpm over boost will destroy yr motor always sooner rather than later. So have a ba turbo head in good nicker and other bits off the block will trade for decent blow off valve to suit
