  1. if your really going to try and get away with it get the xr6 lower front bumper grill, as the intercooler will stand out. just remember that insurance will not cover you at all
  2. question though, can the stock injectors handle 10 psi???
  3. capa said they would be happy to take it unlock the VIN and place a generic tune in there for a decent price, mmm quite tempted to return it at the moment
  4. I believe that the box is locked to the VIN of a car, and it can be unlocked onshore if the tune was placed back to standard setting, if not then it must go back to USA. since the box was used for a different engine (xr8) I'm not going to be placing it into the car until CAPA have looked at it.
  5. I got ripped then, xcal 1, it was $200 bucks, its been on two other cars. So I guess I have to go with a CAPA tune, they recommend putting in 42lb injectors before they put their tune in.
  6. I tried searching for this information and couldn't really find anything specific I have a 07 BFII (build date 07/07) XR6T just bought a SCT flash tuner box and I'm about to send it to CAPA to put a tune in it and unlock the VIN. The car is dead stock (except the middle muffler has been removed). My questions are Using the stock injectors, what would be a safe level of boost to go up to and what would be maximum (keeping in mind everything else is stock)? Is it difficult to change the injectors? With the edit box, I was promised that it has been returned to standard tune so CAPA can unlock the VIN. Is there any way that I can confirm this? (as I'm considering shelving the box and do the intercooler, injectors and actuator then getting a tune but if the seller wasn't telling the truth then I can lodge a paypal dispute). I'm not expecting miracles without $$$, but I want to make sure that I'm getting the most for my money... I'm hoping that 10-11 psi is the answer...
