  1. I have a BA in Blue Pearl and its a really bad Factory Job. I use: Mothers Clay Bars/Meguiars FI I had lying 'round 1/2 Meguiars Final Inspection,1/2 Septone Heavy Cut Re do in Clay and Meguiars FI Meguiars Swirl Remover Meguiars Ultimate Meguiars Final Inspection I have found changing your Washing Sponges and Chamois helps HEAPS But the Swirls come back within a month... Was going to Wet And Dry with 2000,3000,4000 and repeat the above process. Let you know how I go.

  7. Yeah,it was a hard slog. But the other cars that I have modified back in the day,was even more extensive. For my 40th Birthday my Missus okayed a Full Respray,as I have always wanted some1 else to do it for a change....and I always wanted a new PJ. Bang for buck,yeah,worth it,as I now have a car that I personally hand-picked the items on it. Not 100% sure on the new paint-job though,see what happens. Thanks.

  10. Turbo,Turbo,Turbo..... I am seriously condidering a Supercharger.The SOUND is incredible... As far as the conversion,easily done,but yeah,buying the Factory Product,ready to go would be the option. If u wanted the Turbo.

  13. About 18 months ago,I was shopping for a BA XR6. I had a bit over 10k left ( after paying out a $385k Mortgage ) and was on the scrounge. At the time,10k basically got me a low/mid 100k car,generally clean,but there was always something that put me off purhasing.... Like the 1st one I looked at,a nice white one,clean body,clean interior,but no RWC,in need of new Tyres and Windscreen and had a leaky PS pump....damn,oh yeah,and 1 week rego ! The 2nd was a really nice Black one,but had 180k on the clock,but I would have to say,absolutely immaculate in every way,but the sheer amount of klms put me off. A family member mentioned they were selling there BA,2003,Blue Pearl,XT,with the only option being Pwr Windows for the back seats..but that's about it. Absolutely immaculate in every way,the interior was NEW and had 105,000 klms,full service history,12 months rego,RWC,new Exhaust....and I got it for a SONG ( he is on this site,so I wont mention figures ) so I bit the bullet and bought it.He gave it away,thanks m8,I owe u 1. I was a little hesitant buying all the XR gear for it,but when I weighed the cost and the return,yeah,it was viable,and sounded like 'fun'. The 1st thing I purchased was a Genuine XR Bodykit,complete,with Foggies. I then had it matched and painted and that's where it sat for some time until I accumalated other parts. The next thing was the XR spec 35mm Lowering Springs and Monroe Shockies.Nice. I then purchased some new Front Headlights and Clear Tailights. Nect came the BA XR8 18" Rims,which I methodically stripped and polished,they came up great,plus I got new Tyres. I was in La-La-Land as far as the interior was concerned,there was so MANY different options. I was going to buy the boring-as-hell BA XR Interior,Black and Grey but I decided against it. I ended up getting a BF XR Lime Green Insert interior,for a SONG,it was dirty and blood soaked,but I steam cleaned it and the WHOLE interior came up really good. I bought a low klm XR Cluster,HELL cheap,with BF XR Satin Spears for the dash,and Gen Ford Door Trim Inserts all in Satin. Also got a FPV Shifter and XR Scuff Plates,2nd hand,cheap. I then purchased a nice FPV Steering Wheel,love it ! Bought the XR6 Badges X 4,2 on the side-skirts one on the boot and one for the Mesh Grill at the front. I also purchased a full 2-1/2 Mandrel Bent Mild Steel Exhaust with Extractors and handmade 100cell Cat Convertor with SS316 Semi Oval Tip. Topped all the above off with a CA1024 SS Inductions Growler CAI. I also forked out for new Window Tint. Here are some photos of the interior,b4 and after.... I will post up some photos of the car and rims later. Thanks.

  15. Wouldnt a better plan be subsidised purchases for choosing a Holden,Tax Payer Funded ? So,if I wanted a SV6,I could purchase it for $29,500 after the Rebate ? Let the Market decide ?

  20. Hi Guys, I am little dispapointed in the way (only)our Gov handled this. Namely a Tax Payer funded emergency package for $250m for GmH. I understand that this keeps and creates more jobs,which I am all for,but what exactly does it mean to not only the people like us paying for it,but the other companys in the same boat. When Mitsubishi pulled out,there was never any mention of a package to help the hundreds who lost there jobs directly and the thousands associated in-directly. Expensive Daewoo is an icon,and to think that it would go under is just crazy. They will also get Tax Cuts and Subsidised Import Tarriff Duty on components. They dont even have to pay this back.We do. If you look at it as a $$$ value,the 250 million dollars makes 6,500 SV6's.approx 4-5months worth. If u look at GM at a Global Value,that's peanuts.GM records MULTI BILLION dollar profits and is highly stable and bery profitable. Why do we,as Tax Paying,Semi-Law Abiding Citizens have to pay a Global Corporation to keep making cars here ? It was all hush-hush until it was approved....so its not like we had a choice ! And what does it mean to FORD,who are struggling also ? Will they be subsidised to compete ? Thanks.
  21. I got the same system with a Hand Made Cat,but I also threw on a Growler SS CA1024 Induction. Low down Torque is about the same.

  23. Keeping in mind that the Power Rating Ford advertised is based on a Mathematical Formula,Ford never tested cars on Dyno's to provide kW ratings. Also,these are based on NEW cars,after 9 years ( my BA is an 03 ) I estimate STOCK at the Flywheel would now be conisderably lower. Comments on Ford's procedure to provide kW ratings ?
  24. I'm sure you will just as happy with a 4spd auto. Would be nice to get the 6 shooter though....
