Na its not the same post if u read it shyfrd ,my other asked is this normal what I got out of my custom tune.I know nothing about turbo motors and dont try to make out I do that's why I ask questions for people to answer that have had experience in doing these things.I want to do it right ,,anyhow thanks to the others who replied put mind at ease Thanks

  5. gday only new to turbos and I was wondering if I can block the standard bov off to get that sound ?? if so could someone please tell me the easiest way yo do this ,some pics would be good to if anybody has any..ba xr6 turbo thanks

  7. gday yeah all stock ,I dont rev it all the way I just leave it in auto ,dont hold it in sports mode or what ever its called.

Gday just got my ba xr6 t dyno tuned at bta automotive and it got 246rwkw and 824 nm ,torque or what ever its called ..is this average ,below average ?? just curious its auto but stock as a rock. also now my rev limiter sounds different it splutters ,dosnt sound like it used to before the tune and is also set to factory rev cut ?? thanks
  9. cant afford injectors for a while I can tell u that much ,I dont want the fastest car around but enough to blow the doors of the hsv's that are around here

  11. gday yeah ali and his wife are great people. lent me a car when I found out my turbo was shot and I live about 160kms from his shop and ive had it for 5 days now. I am getting a f6 snorkel and filter next week. anyhow thanks
  12. gday just wondering if someone would know the answers to these questions 1.the new turbo,will I notice a difference in power from my old worn out one 2.how many rwk is a standard ba xr6 turbo 3.what rwk would it roughly be after a dyno tune ''all standard'',its getting all done at bta automotive thanks
  13. hey mate im only new to turbos but I had a boss 260 and sounds similar to what your saying ,I got told numerous things.tried a few but it ended up being the ecu ..I took the terminals of the battery for 4 hours hooked them back up and it ran the best it had in ages.no problems at all.not saying its your problems but you never know and dont cost nothing to try it

  16. gday got a weird noise under boost,sounds like a slipping belt but had it looked at today and was told the belts fine usually it only does it when its cold or been sitting for a while and after it warms up it goes away ''usually'' and on cold morning starts it sounds like I got a exhaust leak up near the turbo some where and that also goes away as it warms up ?? its not blowing any smoke no noises in the turbo winding down after I switch the engine of seems to go fine any help anyone its driving me crazy it is booked in tomorrow at bta to get looked at thanks

  18. gday rbjet thanks ,im hopefully getting a custom tune on friday or sat ,I rang intune about my other issues with my genetic tune but I got a nice response ,mate book it in. I actually think your from the same area as me I had a little run against an rx8 today and he asked if I knew u or seen your car around. he said u were mates. anyhow thanks for the reply.
  19. Gday thanks for all the other replys to my last post but I now would like to know if anybody has had experience with these shift kits. would this stop the long ish wait between 1st and 2nd thanks in advance

Thanks rbjet for the reply ,yeah sitting in traffic ,warm days are what im talking about,sorry should have been more specific.early mornings it goes ok.I didnt know the tune would effect the geaxbox as well.so unhappy with intune and the whole thing ,may as well thrown 900 out the window..anyhow thanks again mate for your time
  22. Gday just new to the site and recently purchased a ba xr 6 turbo ,auto with 140000 km on it after selling my ba boss 260 ,I have always had v8s . I got a flash tuner from intune sydney and im running 10psi on it my questions are 1.it has a lot more go between 1600 and 4000 rpm but hardly noticeable from standard after that ,is this normal ? I thought it would be the other way around ? 2.the car doesn't kick back in 1st gear over 45 kph where before it would kick back at 65kph. ? 3.somedays it goes well ,other times not ? 4..lastone ,would it be sluggish up top due to only having a standard air intake ? I know nothing about these cars so any help will be greatly appreciated . **if someone lives in the wollongong area and knows about these cars that could take my car for a drive to tell me if it is normal or not..even pay $$ if necessary -just for peace of mind its stressing me out atm.. thanks
  23. Gday all Recently bought a ba xr6 turbo ,auto with 140 kms on it..I have all ways had v8s and I thought id try something different.. I bought a flash tune box from intune Sydney last sat and after being treated like a low life for my car only being a ba and auto he also virtually turned his back on me and my wife walking away ,long story but ill never go there again.never was told about adjusting plugs to .75 and changing clamps etc till after I bought the dam box..now its a 10th psi tune on a standard motor will this hurt my motor at all.I read that any tuner that runs 10 psi in a standard motor should be shot and I also read a lot of bad stuff about intune and now id probably believe it after my experience with him.. Any help would be appreciated greatly
