Haha always welcome if you're ever over this way. It's a Breville Oracle, definitely a fantastic coffee machine. It's the best of both worlds, in that it's a manual type espresso machine, but they've automated the process. Makes amazing coffee! -
Morning all.

That's pretty cool @Rab Would probably suit a games room more so than my living room I think. Freedom Furniture have an in-house interior designer that you can book a free 45 minute appointment with to help give ideas etc. I'd previously been into Freedom several times looking for decorative stuff and to check out their furniture etc and one of the girls suggested I book an appointment. I wasn't originally overly keen on the idea, but I booked one anyway...actually turned out to be really helpful, she was great. Got a bunch of decorations for both the dining table and coffee table. Having some greenery etc definitely makes a big difference. She also suggested I move the picture onto the back wall and put a mirror where the picture currently is- something I'd potentially thought, but hadn't properly figured out. They actually had a really cool mirror that she showed me and we definitely thought it'd tie everything together really nicely. My step-dad is going to drop round after work tomorrow arvo to give me a hand mounting it as it's a big bitch of a mirror! I'll post up some photos of the end result tomorrow, but even the table decorations have made me like the chairs a whole lot more and I can now see how they're going to work overall. Fark, there's a whole bunch of sh*t I never thought I'd say... -

Cheers fellas. I do agree that they work really well with the floorboards and the painting. Definitely needs something on that back wall now though. -

They're actually super comfy! Still kinda trying to make my mind up with how I feel about the colour though... -

Going to see Parkway Drive next weekend, pretty pumped! -
I really want a Fibaro Home Centre 2...very nice and intuitive UI. Have been tempted to get Philips Hue stuff, but would prefer to hold off and get something that integrates better into a whole whole solution. $$$ though! So well down the list of things for the house.

It's aluminum frame, so chippy won't be able to help unfortunately. -

My thoughts exactly, Keify. At least this way, do it once and do it right...then move on and not have to worry about it again. -

All the seals around the awning windows edges have disintegrated too...which would mean needing to pull them apart to replace, which would damage them and require full replacements anyway...which won't necessarily guarantee water won't get through after. I could try silicone sealing, but there's parts it won't be able to reach...and it's not really an idea fix as it doesn't really address the major issue, just masks it. -

Jesus! @bloodycrashboy I can see how that happens though! I reckon I could easily still spend a good $100k on my place when it comes to bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, skirting and carpets etc...fark that's a depressing thought... -
I've had a foreman grill in the past, but don't tend to like as much how it does sangers compared to a flat grill. Ah yeah, have most on that list bar the garlic and onion powders. Have a pizza cutter (came with my pizza stone) - homemade pizza is one thing I'm actually not too bad at these days. I buy the bases from Bakers Delight - they're delicious! Ah, can opener...that's a point! What's peoples thoughts on knives? Do you go with cheap ones and replace them every few years, or pony up for a decent set that last a bunch longer? Dear god that's a lot of food man!

So my moisture issues in my bay window continue...but only when it rains. I think I've narrowed it down to water getting in through the window/frame itself, and talking with a glazier about it seems to indicate that the gaskets have most likely failed and letting water through. Annoying thing is that the only real way to properly rectify it is to replace the entire bay window - frame and all. Going to get some proper quotes next week, but initial estimate is that it'll cost me $2.5-3k Sucks, because until it's sorted I can't re-paint that bedroom wall, as there's no point if water is going to come back through the new paint again anyway. Also can't really paint the exterior of the front of the house until then either. Housemate also moved out and in with his GF, so I needed to buy a dining table and chairs. Spent a couple of days hard out going everywhere looking...man there's some sh*t out there! And there's also some rather expensive stuff out there too! Ended up settling on a really nice table and went a little bolder on my chair choice than is usual for me...so waiting patiently until it's all delivered on Wednesday to see if the decision paid off or not haha. Houses are expensive... -
Figure this is as good a thread as any for this, given the top is food and cooking. My housemate moved out (and in with his gf) and we were using his kitchen things...so now I need to buy kitchen stuff. Not looking to go tooooo crazy at this point, but here's a list of things I feel I should attend to next week and would like suggestions/discussion on: Knives - I need a good set of kitchen knives Sandwich press/grill - the ex had a good sandwich press (flat plates - which I liked) that was hot enough to cook chicken schnitzels etc on as well as sandwiches Air fryer - housemate had one of these and was great for slicing up some sweet potato and getting sweet potato wedges with minimum effort...and not too unhealthy Versatile spices/mixes/condiments - again, not something I've ever really delved into myself - so looking to learn That'll probably do for now I think. I've got a couple of frying pans and basic utensils. Any particular utensils that make life easier that you couldn't live without that you'd suggest? Also, today's lunch is rather unexciting (like every day this week -diet)...salad.

Haha what's the RRP? I paid $220 for the pedals...
-
Think my stand, by default, fits it in F1 configuration and I'd have to drill some holes if I wanted to mount it in GT config. See how I go next week I guess.
