  1. Was planning to sell privately once the Stinger turns up. Why, pray tell, do you ask? 🤔
  2. Haha yeah, nah. Hard pass. Sounds horrific 🤣
  3. Haha 100%. It's colder here than what it was when I worked FIFO, though. The Goldfields and Pilbara are scorching! Japan is my happy place 🥶
  4. The fark is wrong with you mob?! Cold over heat FTW!
  5. Yeah well, COVID, WFH for a couple years and being in a crappy headspace will do that I suppose. It served its purpose of helping me save for my house originally though, so there’s that at least 🤷‍♂️
  6. Haha, that also played a solid factor in the decision. Current car is black...carnt of a thing!
  7. Cheer @JETURBO. Not sure when I'll end up getting it, but hopefully early next year. 274kW and 510 Nm, 8-speed auto with flappy paddles. Ordered Snow White Pearl. Didn't do a heap for me in photos, but seeing it in person it was my favourite colour for sure.
  8. Yup. Half the price of JETS latest ride. Don't get me wrong, his car is a weapon and I wish I could afford one 🤣 But just not in the realm of possible at this point. Stinger at least is achievable. And yeah, $80k for a new Golf R - hard pass.
  9. Holy sh*t Dani - 50kgs is a monster effort! Well farking done, dude! You must feel incredible!
  10. Nice - dogs are the best people! Yep, Stinger GT. I've been eying them off since they came out, as I thought they looked pretty cool. But when I started thinking I actually wanted to get a new car and was looking around it came out on top for what you get for the money, since everything's gone up in price lately. $10k less than a Golf R, for example, but the Stinger has more tech and nicer interior.
  11. Not overly fussed with the unicorn vomit builds, personally, so it's not super flashy. I can appreciate them, but since I also use this for Audio recording and it therefore sits quite far from my desk I opted for a cheaper and stealthier case and parts.
  12. Work's been getting the better of me for the last year or two, so trying to force myself back into some old hobbies and interests to try and claw a life back outside of work. Ordered a new car last week too - twin turbo v6 goodness. Probably 3-6 months wait, though, which kinda blows. But ah well, looking forward to the day I can get rid of the Honda. Didn't realise how much I actually enjoy driving until I test drove the new car, then jumped back in the Honda and realised it's just that I actually really hate driving THAT car. What's new with you?
  13. Been trying to claw back some semblance of life outside of work recently, so decided to rebuild my PC and start gaming again. Looked at prices for 4000 series cards, decided that can fark right off, so grabbed an ASUS RTX TUF 3080 ti OC, a new case and an extra SSD for game installs. Opted to not upgrade CPU and mobo at this point, since Raptor Lake was nearly out when I pulled the trigger...plus CBF reinstalling Windows right now. Also picked up a 49" Samsung CRG9 Super Ultrawide monitor - 'tis glorious! Pics 4 Keif:
  14. I reckon COD maxed out with the original Black Ops game...started going downhill after that and just started getting too confusing. Fine if you were 12 and could spend 12hrs a day playing just that game, but not if you just wanted to jump on for a few games here and there and be able to figure out WTF is going on.
  15. Cheers Dani! I wouldn't really call myself a "cyclist" either really, like I don't do the group rides with all the lycra clad oldies getting in the way on the road, but I do enjoy going for a ride as a way to get in some exercise.
  16. Cheers Keefy. Haha, I hear ya. Food and innactivity is my enemy though. I tried getting back into weights previously, but just found I honestly don't enjoy it...as much I want to. A year ago I was in a good place, cycling to work everyday but then Winter hit and seemed to not stop raining for like 4 months and I got lazy. And now it's summer, so 30+ degrees sucks to cycle in for any length of time. So this way I have an engaging way of keeping it up inside (phrasing!) and can vary the sort of terrain I ride more easily than IRL. So should help keep me in shape for when I do ride outside.
  17. Got a new TV and smart bike trainer this week to use my road bike with Zwift. Found the weather has been giving me too many excuses not to exercise, so this way it's like exercising and gaming at the same time. Zwift's pretty cool - simulates changes in gradient etc so it's harder to get up hills etc. TV is a 55" Sony X90J, trainer is Wahoo Kickr + Kickr Climb + Kickr Headwind. Got the Kickr and Climb using Qantas points I figured I wouldn't be using any time soon... Oh and there's an 2021 Apple TV 4K in there to run Zwift on. It's no gaming PC, but it seems to work alright for Zwift.
  18. Yeah, blows about all the lockdowns you mob have been having! Exciting about the dog, though! Grats! What kind? Pics?
  19. What up ya'll? Been a while. I open the forum for the first time in a while to see the makings of a cornwall thread, nice!
  20. Nice fluff, definitely coming along! Looking forward to the video tour!
