  1. Yeah, just pop over for a coffee and a bit of a listening session 🤣
  2. Only just finished getting everything cleaned up, plugged in and setup around 9pm last night - was a pretty busy weekend! Could really do with another weekend now to recover from the weekend and to actually just sit down and enjoy the new system. With covers on: And with covers off:
  3. Today was a good day! Went to pick up the matching Focal Electra centre speaker for the new front speakers I got last week. I was also going to pickup the Electra SR1000 dipole surrounds, and given the price he had them up for and the model number I assumed they were the cheaper ones without the beryllium tweeters...got there today and they were the expensive beryllium tweeter models! Oh and the dude just gave me a $3k AV receiver for free too (Yamaha RXV3040), coz he reckoned they're not worth anything these days. Great day!
  4. @Miss Cornwall I get it - and I'd love both of those cars. Just feel a bit disappointed, after all the talk of TT kits back when VF's were all the rage, that J@ never got around to doing it.
  5. Curiously though, how much do you reckon you've spent on headphones and associated gear to date?
  6. Yeah, guy at work is selling one atm and I couldn't believe how much they're selling for these days! Crazy!
  7. I know this feeling - been me the last few months for me. Things weren't great in my relationship and I ate to comfort myself...which only made me feel worse and feel uncomfortable in my own skin and not want to go out in public etc. Not there yet, by a long shot, but started taking steps in the right direction and the GF and I have a lot of work to do still but are in a much better place in terms of the relationship and we've both started making a conscious effort to eat better and be more active. It's amazing how interconnected it all is. Even just making a start helps you start to feel a bit better, which tends to become motivation in itself.
  8. That was actually funny, Keefy. Kudos! My ex had an eating disorder. Thought because she no longer starved herself that she had beaten it...don't mention the fact she would get up every night and eat and then not eat during the day and go run bulk km's on the treadmill to counter it...refused to get help, yet had proven she wasn't able to combat it herself and wouldn't let me help. Got really draining after a while because, as you say, simple things like going out for a meal or just having a fat day weren't a thing. She even used to do some sleep shift job where she was paid (like $7.5 an hour) to be on call for an MS care facility and sleep on some crappy sofa bed there so she didn't have access to food during the night to eat. Fark leaving my house at 9:30pm at night for $7 an hour... I found the whole thing really sad. Also watched some Netflix movie about eating disorder...the mindset they're in is horrifying...
  9. Wanna swap? I'd much rather find it hard to put weight on...dieting blows goats. Speaking of exercise etc, GF and I are off to play squash tonight.
  10. Not yet...not for lack of trying though lololol. This bit made me lol.
  11. Can't run it on a server and record to the HDD Keify?
  12. Either way, foxtel can eat a bag of dicks. Sonarr and Plex ftw!
  13. It is now that you moved all the other posts haha. Feel free to move my post too please, Rab 😂
  14. Foxtel HD makes me lol. They charge $10 extra per month for 720p like it's 2004 or something. 1080p has been the standard for ages now, and 4k the little extra. God I hate Foxtel!
  15. My Electras. God these speakers sound incredible! They pair so well with my REL (sub), I can't stop smiling 😁
  16. Bearing in mind that's a 65" TV and 1.5m wide cabinet, so it probably looks closer than it is...but soundstage is pretty bloody good, considering. It's never going to be the perfect home theatre room, given it's open plan and the kitchen is behind the sofa...but this setup now sounds pretty incredible, so no complaints here.
  17. Yeah. Anyone I've told who's into hifi gear agree I got a pretty awesome bargain...which I really think I did! Now I just can't wait to pick up the centre speaker in a couple of weeks and then the dipole surrounds after that! Not really a whole lot I can do with respects to sound-proofing unfortunately, as this all resides in my open plan living room. I think the thing that was bothering the kids next door was the sub carrying...that and it rattles my patio a fair bit when it's up loud...😲 Yeah, I made a point of apologising and said I'd got some new speakers and just got a little carried away. Solid ohmo joke...
  18. Well, they retail new for $12.5k...I paid $4k. Still a lot of money, but I've lusted after a pair of these for over a decade, ever since I first heard a pair and they don't come up on the secondhand market often, especially not in Perth and at this price and condition.
  19. Actually did get a text from them last night asking me to turn it down a bit as it was scaring their kids and they couldn't sleep 😳 Actually felt pretty bad, so obviously turned it down. I generally have a pretty good relationship with them.
  20. New speakers for my home setup. To call these speakers amazing is an understatement and doesn't even remotely do them justice. They look and sound farking incredible!
  21. Sounds tiring if you're in that headspace. Highly recommend looking into talking to a professional, can make a massive difference to your headspace and how to deal with things in the future.
