  2. You can get carbon fibre tail shafts for skylines, but has anyone ever seen or followed up trying to get one to suit a falcon? I think a chromoly or alloy would be easier to find, but just wondering.
  3. Had a look at some transmission shops, protrans and raceglides just wondering has anyone used raceglides? they're in VIC. Bit far from tamworth but I dont think there is really anywhere near here to do any of the work.
  4. The two speed glide sounds good but so do a few of the others that I have looked through on here. I dont want a comparison to the ZF transmission, but is the glide a bitch if you need to drive it daily or not so bad? well maybe not daily, but just to get around when you need it.

My plan, well I plan around 1000hp or more at the rears also Stee3. Completely rebuilt driveline, diff etc, monobloc 4 piston fron and rear brakes, Built motor, GTX4508r turbo is what I wish to use, Process west s3 intercooler, APS exhaust, there are lot of other parts I will need also to get there I understand that, this is just a general overview. Budget will be over $30000 easy im guessing, im not a mechanic so I cant really do any of the work myself. I'm aiming towards Autotech to do the tuning and motor work. By the end of the project The car will most likely just be used for the strip, but I would try and get it streetable at that power level if possible. My car is 07 MKII BF turbo.
  6. From what I can see at glance there is a bit of talk on here about the TH400, powerglide, C4 and dont forget the built ZF's that are also out there. Wondering how many people do have these units in their beasts and what they have achieved with them, what power is being run through them etc? I have been looking at transmissions and came across a 4L80E (descendent of the TH400), does anyone have any info on these?
  7. It is a sedan, it will be street and strip for a while. But I do intend for it to end up just as a car to take to the drags when im done.
  8. Yeah I've been looking through there a fair bit. For now Im working around a 30K budget. Will spend more if need be. Correction probably more around the 40k+.
  9. Thanks J@SNOT, also considering the transmission I Have the ZF6speed auto, do you know how hard they can go if built stronger well there are a few that state they can handle big power, anyone know anything about dominello?
  10. Hi guys, about to start work on my BF MKII TURBO. I plan to start with the driveline, I hope to get to power levels in excess of 600RwKw and take it to the track when I can, from what I can gather I would need a 9" diff. With that in mind I would like to hear what some of you guys use that already run this type of power. Ive been looking at truetrac and DL. Are there other options?
