  2. I've been running royal purple 10w40 since I bought my car a year ago and can't fault it
  3. There was one I saw in Newcastle a while back saying 3vom Pity it was only on a 10 year old lancer that couldn't keep up with anything
  4. They are supposed to change the line filter every 40k at Ford but I think it is better off removing altogether, I do normal oil changes every 10k and haven't had problems yet Search for servicing and Earls inline filter and that will tell you everything about it and might have a look at diff bushes while your there too there are some good options
  5. Welcome to the forum mate I'm not sure about fg valve springs but you will find something for sure with a search and as far as mods are concerned almost anything will void warranty with these cars and to get noticeable gains in power with intake mods you will more than likely need a tune to go with it Common problems with these cars are mainly to do with having to change your diff bushes very regularly cause they are always breaking and turbo failure because the inline filter for the turbo gets blocked after a while and gets starved of oil which can be prevented by replacing or cleaning the filter screen, removing it completely because it is not necessary or replacing the line with an Earls inline filter kit Good luck with your new car mate
  6. Just found these pictures on my phone I took ages ago Don't know whether this Ferrari vitara is someone being funny or whether they did this to try and trick people into thinking their small 4wd is actually a sports car Either way though it is a pretty good effort
  7. I've used one of these in a different brand for work and they are a bloody good tool for what you pay
  8. Mine does it whenever I suddenly come of the throttle after driving with enthusiasm or coming over some crests it will hold the lower gear which I find handy
  9. If your worried about your turbo take the pipe off the front of the turbo coming from the crossover and give the prop a wobble side to side and in and out If it moves alot then something is wrong there, if not all is good
  10. I upgraded all my speakers with sound stream tarantula series speakers of the same size and they were way better So worth it Biggest difference was when I replaced the tweeters
  11. Mine had the same problem one day Pop it up as high as possible and hold the forward button for 6 seconds you will hear a faint beep and if it works the same as mine you will still have your memory settings intact
  12. I used to have a 12" in my old pulsar so the standard 8" didn't compare in any way so it got upgraded straight away
  13. No I am running a cadence 400rms amp on it Search for my "install opinions" It's my thread on my boot install
  14. I replaced mine in my bf 2 with a sound stream reference 8" Was a good improvement but it was only 2 months til I upgraded to a 12 inch I think the whole idea of an 8" sub in our size cars is a bad idea
  15. If you can Try and adjust the spring so it is softer and vent it both atmo and Plumb back that should stop the flutter (tutututu) Not sure if you can with the gfb ones I know you can with the turbo smart ones
  16. plasti dipped part of my front bumper
  17. put a jump pack on it if it starts definately flat battery
  18. had a go of some plastidip today and was surprised with the results
  19. Looking at that now explains the tututu sound I'm certain that is fitted in the opposite position Is it a tiny quick flutter or loud and more than half a second?
  20. im gonna try to do mine myself during the christmas break there are a couple of videos on you tube that show you how to do it yourself
  21. Sounds like I need to add another one to the list Fitting strut bars to a pulsar Just one of the things you waste your money on when your young and stupid
  22. when I still owned my pulsar driving to work one day after 20km of open road stopped at a set of lights and saw smoke coming out of the side of my bonnet lift up my bonnet a minute later when I got to work and see oil all over the engine and bottom side of bonnet lesson learnt always check oil cap is back on after topping up oil
  23. I will be pre ordering it Hope it is the same physics as Forza 4 cause that would be an awesome game especially if they chuck some falcons in too
  24. Search for the thread that I think is titled sub fix it will make your sub so much better and I also recommend swapping your speakers for new ones swapped all the speakers including sub mid range and tweeters with sound stream speakers of the same size Then ended up upgrading the sub to a 12" It was $250 for tweeters and midrange all round and 200 for the sub<br />
