  1. I did this yesterday I removed the bulb casing and soldered an led straight to the board Only problem was that the wires for the led twisted and shorted and meant when I would start my car it would stop after a second and say security code error and wouldn't start for ages So if you solder an led to the board make sure it is done well and doesn't short out
  2. You will need high level converters unless you use an amp that accepts high level inputs Most amps don't have high level inputs
  3. Love how the silver accents go with that shade of blue looks clean as
  4. Saw an r33 today with gtr badges on it....... And a gtst 25 sticker still left on it
  5. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/80992-My-Install,-Opinions? This my current setup except for a different phone holder and the sub now has a protective grill on it
  6. You can run an amp but it is a lot of work and I didn't notice much of a difference on the 8 inch sub You either need an amp that takes hi inputs or you need to get a bass processor or hi lo converter so you can get the signal from the existing sub wires For the remote wire you also have to tap into an accessories wire, I went with the cigarette lighter I went with a soundstream bass processor and I am very happy with that choice I have a thread with alot of my sound system I will post a link
  7. All 4 speakers are 5 X 7's and the sub is an 8 inch
  8. I have done a bit to my sound system and I recommend the following Replace tweeters with after market (huge improvement) Replace all speakers with same size aftermarket speakers (good improvement) Swap the wires on the sub so that the negative goes to the positive and vice versa this will correct the polarity and make it sound better I replaced the factory sub for a soundstream replacement and soon went to a 12" because I wasn't happy with the results I have heard that the soundstream 13" slim line subs go well though maybe look into one of them as a possibility I think 6x9 would only fit if you did some serious cutting or by using spacers I have seen them mounted above and under the parcel shelf too
  9. Saw an el falcon today with the number plates "commie" Thought he was has having a joke then I saw a couple interesting flags hanging off his house to suit the plates And neither of them were Expensive Daewoo or ford
  10. Holding the forward button on the sunroof for 6 seconds when the sunroof is fully up will make a faint beep sound and that resets the sunroof
  11. What are the magnets you have put on the pan being used for?
  12. I've been playing Forza horizon recently and would recommend it to anyone that likes racing games Got the rally expansion pack for it the other day and it is awesome too Can't wait til the new grand theft auto comes out though I loved gta San andreas
  13. A possible solution would be fitting a diffuser like the one in this thread http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/81797-Had-A-Rear-Diffuser-Fitted-Today-To-My-Fgxr6T! Or you could bog up the holes and paint it?
  14. It looks the goods Wonder what the production car is like
  15. My first car was a pulsar and I have always been a fan of Nissans As far as Ford and Expensive Daewoo are concerned my dad was a Expensive Daewoo turned Ford man and I've always preferred fords except for having a soft spot for vl's I wanted a gtr until I looked into xr6 turbos
  16. I've used the Zaino leather cleaner for a couple of months and like it and I have started using bees wax leather conditioner I got off ebay the other day for all my leather and have had good results so far
  17. Im not a fan Some parts look good some look horrid To me it looks like bits and pieces off various cars that have been mashed together kinda like a great Wall
  18. One of my mates has done this Sorry mostly cut off photo didn't want to put his number plate up on the net without his permission
  19. Intake
  20. Garrett
  21. Lubricated the boost solenoid, tightened up the exhaust manifold bolts and changed spark plugs Now I understand completely why people say cylinder 6 is a pain to work on haha
  22. I'm with this guy My advice buy something cheap to run and save your money for 3 years so that you can afford a better car once you get your full licence That way when the time comes you will be able to afford something nicer like an fg or possibly a bf or fg f6 And based on statistics and common sense being a novice driver with a high powered car you would be highly likely to either wrap it around a tree or crash into some other sort of large immovable object that would cause pain Have a look around though you will find plenty of other cars that are lots of fun without being dangerous for a novice driver and you can drive legally
  23. I'm not sure about the fgs but I have a bf with sunroof and you press the forward button til it is fully popped up then hold down the forward button for 6 seconds and you will hear a quiet beep and that will reset it Hope it is the same Good luck
