  1. Have a look into some bt-50s or a dmax My old boss had a d40 v6 petrol and it needed a new gearbox before 50000kms and his mates diesel one had a major turbo issue We have diesel hiluxs at work and I could never recommend one of them either, 2 of the 3 07 models have been rebuilt and they are constantly in for repairs My dad got an auto bt-50 in march and it is an awesome Ute so far and my brother also has the older version which has been used on mine sites everyday for 150,000 kms and has only had a couple small wheel alignment issues because it cops a very hard time

    Which Brake Pads

I have heard very good reports about Remsa and I plan to get a set of them very soon Heard they have awesome stopping power and are reasonably quiet. Only downpart to them is that they are extremely dusty Maybe give them a search and see what people that have them think
  3. I use menzerna polish that I get off ebay They have a few different levels of cuts and shine gloss levels available I used these a couple months ago and was very impressed with the results
  4. What is the build date of your car? I'm pretty sure that xr6 turbos built after June 2006 all came with the tougher f6 internals that bf mk2s came with So you might be in luck there Mine has the esc button to the left of the steering wheel and that controls both esc and traction There is one way to find out haha :-)
  5. Avoid spraying water near the spark plug cover and any electrics I have washed the engine bay on my car and my old car 10 times plus and have only had troubles once when water got past my coil packs and filled the spark plug holes with water my car began to run on 2 or 3 less cylinders after that
  6. I fitted my earls oil feed line and wedged some plastic in behind the mounting point of the rear view mirror to stop rattles from my sub
  7. This is a link to my thread on my sub set up I replaced my premium sound tweeters with middle of the range sound stream tweeters and noticed a massive improvement I replaced all 4 speakers with the same size a factory but in soundstream tarantula full range speakers I haven't amped my speakers because I thought the quality of the sound didn't need it and because of the amount of work and money required
  8. Us postage is massive but you can still get a good price if you look around I bought a set of splits for 180 (100 for the speakers 80 for postage) on ebay when they were trying to sell them for 400 at an audio shop in Newcastle Sonic electronix is a good website to try their prices are very competitive Under seat and other 8 inch seats I have heard sound ok but nowhere near as good as a 12 inch The best I've heard of about a slim sub is this one in the photo Guy at work fitted it behind the backseat of his d22 navara dual cab and thought it was almost as good as the twin 12 inch jvcs in his wife's mazda 2
  9. I have set up a few different systems in different cars and you can get surprisingly good results for a very small price In a premium sound falcon you can replace the tweeters, front speakers and the polarity of the sub for less than 200 and get a great result My best advice would be to buy audio gear from the US as from experience on several occasions I have bought soundstream products for less than half the price of a shop over here
  10. Lucky for you they make a grill for that sub I will take a photo of mine with the grill fitted
  11. I have a very similar set up to you, not as pretty but the same sub and in the same position and I was very happy with the resultHere is a pic of my set up Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  12. I have a pair of lace up oliver ats boots and they are awesome So comfy they are still going good after almost 2 years of bush jobs and boggy building sites
  13. Thanks guys that helps a lot Wasn't sure how to neatly take off the plastidip around the tight parts of the badges
  14. How do you get the badges to look so neat using plastidip?
  15. My dad had an au series 3 futura and one day and when the battery died the ecu forgot all his keys and wouldn't start at all He got it towed to ford and knew exactly what had happened and fixed the ecu on the spot, they were certain that the low voltage from the old battery caused the problem Call up ford and see what they think Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  16. Very impressive You make that look so easy, wish I could do that Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  17. I used masking tape and curved around the part you are talking about and I took the masking tape off straight away while it was wet so the edges didn't lift Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  18. My first test drive was of an na xr6 and I really liked the car but it really felt like it was missing something I test drove an xr6t a couple months later and I was very impressed and found what was missing with the na straight away The way I look at it the differences between the g6e and xr are Suspension, firm and good in corners or soft and comfortable Differential, the xr has an lsd the g6e does not The look, the xr looks sportier but the g6e is a great sleeper Seat shape Insurance costs possibly may be different Depends what trade offs you are happy with and what makes you happy Good luck with it, either car would be a good choice though
  19. Checked my factory oil feed line to make sure it wasn't blocked up Also went to tighten up my turbo to manifold bolts and found out one has come out completely within a month So I shall be getting some anchorlox soon Also washed it
  20. I did the front and back and used half a can and that was after stuffing up the front twice first It has lasted a while too been on 6 months and still in good nick
  21. Mine are plasti dipped matte black On the front mine has lifted on the edge slightly maybe putting clear over it and blending the edges with clear would prevent this
  22. Exactly I would buy a few properties and rent them all out, live on half the income and give the other half to charity No point in having all that money and spending it on things you don't need when there are plenty others that only need little financial assistance I'd much rather drive a 180 grand gtr and give a million to charity then drive a rolls Royce phantom and give charity nothing
  23. This happens to me quite often All I do is take my foot of the throttle for 2 seconds then very gently hold my foot on the throttle to is smallest accelerating point then it realises I want to go up a gear Mines a bfii zf
  24. Awesome
  25. I would start by paying my parents house off Then buy a property with a massive shed, deck it out with tools and get a gtr Just for a start
