As its still legal to remove the cat completely in NZ, I will going to that direction. Does this prove to be a major issue? Should I dodge removing it completely?

Afternoon, I plan to remove the cat converter. I understand that doing so, will create overboost from the turbo. I am getting it tuned etc, but where the muffler shop is and the tuner is 150km apart. The tuner shop charges 400% more than my local guy and towing it to the tuner isn't worth it (the costs are pretty much equal). So question is, if I drive under 2000rpm, stay off boost as much as I can and drive really carefully, can I make it to the destination without turbo damage? Any ideas would be a help.
