In manual mode though it should shift when you tell it too and the adaptive side of it should not matter? I checked mine and it stays just above 4000rpm when shifting from 1st to 2nd (ZF Box) So something is def wrong for it to drop down to 3000rpm....Could be boost solenoid, split IC pipe, Gearbox slipping etc. Worth getting it checked out though.

Maybe clean the boost solenoid? Mine has 33xxxxkms aswell. Although I never had it from new so cant compare.

They tend to run a low 13 second pass stock, If the shifts we quicker im sure it would knock of 0.1 to 0.2 seconds of the 1/4mile.

Yeah I think its designed to shift softly to save the gearbox and for comfort. Guess a Tune could fix the problem, but a costly expense! or ask a Tuner if its normal?

Im used to Manuals and Ive recently bought a stock fg MK2 T ZF and I relate to your problem. (Id prob agree that its a gearbox problem) The gear shifts are very soft! My first impressions was this needs a shift kit or some form of tune to make gear shifts quicker. I have not noticed it dropping down to 3000rpm from 1st to 2nd though (Ill have a look next time I drive it, its the wifes daily) In saying that on a slight incline of road the other week pulling out of a driveway it did light the tyres by the end of 1st going into 2nd.

Just checked and it does shows who is ringing you both on my S4 and the wifes iPhone 4s. Downside is the ICC stays on when you turn the car off :S does anyone know if there is a setting in the ICC to fix that? Also the update I was given is not the latest update, mid 2012 update....fixed bluetooth issues though and the Navigation system is much more responsive.

Finally got the ICC updated (well the wife did) I was told by 2 different Ford dealerships its going to cost me, My wife asks and she gets it done under warranty :-p Although the guy told her 90% of issues is not the update its the battery dropping below x amount of Volts which does not make the bluetooth work with the phone to well or causes issues etc, so they stung us for a new battery ($150) which I specifically asked for a 600CCA battery as I hear the stock one is pretty average?? they said they will have a 540CCA I said ok fair enough, I get home and check it and its 620CCA lol go figure. Anyway problem solved my Samsung S4 connected straight away and the Sound of the car audio system sounds better now (I have premium sound...already had the wires for the sub swapped around) Down side is I cant confirm if new battery or updated ICC fixed the problem:p but its fixed the bluetooth issues.

Just bought a MK2 XR6T a few weeks ago and get exactly the same usage as you! My wife drives it daily to work about a 15km trip in peak hour traffic and peak hour return trip. The average was 15/100 last week. Average speed was low 30s. (33-34 I think) rarely sees boost at all unless when Im driving it on wkends:) Ive installed a new K&N replacement filter this weekend, so ill see if this improves it any. If not ill think about cutting the holes in the airbox. (is it worth cutting holes in air box?) Weekend use Ive managed to get 12.7/100 in normal stop start conditions. Easily climbs when you plant your right foot down as expected. I thought maybe had a 02 sensor problem but after reading this not so sure now.

Thanks Jstplyn. That confirms the orginal owner had already swapped the wires over. As when I swapped them over the Sound was awful, no bass and was distorted!

Can any one clarify what side is the blue wire on the white plug from factory, is it on the right or left side? Mine is on the right side and sounds good, but I only bought my car last week and was wondering if it had already been swapped over from previous owner.

Nah im western sydney mate. Hopefully the wife drops it off to ford next week sometime to have it updated. (she drives it to work)

lol theres a Hour of my life I wont get back :/ I have a FG MK2 XR6T and the premium sound is average. I thought Id try this and see if it works. Took 5 mins but then it sounded even worse than it was, so I went to change it back and one of the wires got stuck in the white plug and it took a hour to get it out after butchering it. Its back to original now and sounds much better. (Im thinking since I bought the car 2nd hand the previous owner had already swapped the wires around as it def sounded sh*t when I swapped them around)

lol it doesnt even recognise my Samsung I havnt had it connected yet. I know its never been updated as previous owner said it hasnt. But there has been a firmware update apparently in June this year? Ford said they will update it for $120 I rang them this afternoon. Once I get it done Ill let you know if it fixes my problem. If it fixes my problem it possibly should fix yours aswell.

The ICC in my car will not connect to my samsung S4 and will speriodically connect with my wifes iPhone 4S. The ICC has never been updated fg mk2 (2011 DEC build) We just picked the car up last wk (private sale) Did you find out how much it cost Sandro Col to update it?
