  1. Yeah... Its something there, its just the dealer has tried everything on it. Re-tensioning, tightening all bolts on the front of the car to tension... cant find anything and it still does it...

    Which dealer? Also, does it affect the strength of the gearbox? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You wouldnt think it would effect the strenght of the box....
  3. Hi all, I've had my T in the dealer about 5 times now with a steering clunk that comes Intermittently through the steering. They have several other MKII T's with this problem. Occurs over bumps (when the front suspension changes up and down with a turned wheel), or just turning the steering wheel when parking. Has anyone else experienced a steering clunk and had it fixed? Or similar problem? Any input would be appreciated. The dealer has rung Ford today and requested assistance for a fix. Thanks.

    I think CAN stands for Car Area Network. Similar to the term used in computer networking ie LAN (local area network) or WAN (Wide area network). I *think* that its network run in the car that all electronic devices that work on the car plug into, and can talk to each other, like a computer network...
  5. That looks excellent mate. Couple of questions: How do those figures compare to the stock cooler, and... Does the kit come with really detailed instructions, with nice, big pictures?

    That was me. Mario said to apparently add 10kW correction to the dyno read 185kW which is what you should be getting for a stockie. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi mate, Yeah, your's was real strong, and considering its auto as well!

    Re the lowish rwKW readings, I was saying in another thread; THe MKI autos were making about ~160 at the rears, My MKII Manual made 185rwKW (4500KM), and another MKII manual made 193rwkw(~11000). Another MKII auto made 175... (I think it had done 7000)
  10. Yeah some of the rwKWs readings were quite low. Avg stock auto was pulling around 160rwKW. A MKII auto pulled 175rwKW Myself and another fellow (dont know his name), we both pulled above 185rwKW. Myself pulling 185rwKw and him 193. We both have 6SP MKIIs, mines only done 4500km, his had done something like ~11000...

  15. 50Kw for $1300 + tune, and you want something cheaper?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That doesnt include a tune - which I would, and anybody else - would HIGHLY recommened. You never know whats going on when you whack and out-of-the-box ECU tune in. You'll need to add about ~$200 for a good tune.

  19. Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly do you plug these gauges into? Some kind of digital plug on the ecu or is it directly into what its reading (ie boot pressure sensor)??

  24. Well, after all that I think its crap. There's no way in the short term Expensive Daewoo will be releasing a TT V6. The V6 already costs a bomb, so does the 5sp auto. I can't imagine them adding more technology to this engine when their V8s are faster, cheaper and have more "value" in the eyes of the australian public. I'd believe maybe the 3.8 TT for the SAABs or Alfa's (which was confirmed in Motor or wheels sometime back). Your dad or whoever probably got the wires crossed (like most rumors are). Expensive Daewoo will make a TT V6 at the engine plant yes, but sticking it into a commodore, no. What a load of .
