    I thought the whole idea of having independant valve timing is that it actually works, not all "0" as such - effectively doing nothing. Good tuners will be worth the weight in pure gold and diamonds soon. All in the computer map settings.

  5. Apart from the fact that Im sure SOMEBODY has done it - why bother. If your in the market for an XR6T - and your considering converting it to LPG because of fuel price, dont buy an XR6T. By a fiesta or something else. Having said that. Gas research dandenong (VIC) do convert cars to lpg with turbo systems.
  6. can anyone say laaag. I think its rediculous, but fun to watch. With a cleaver design, you dont need supercharger AND turbos.

  8. How did you wire up the LED (ie what power source are they using). COuld be dependant on that?
  9. I found the Problem and it is fixed!! Finally after 6 Months Took the Pipes that connect to the intercooler off, twisted them and found a 1 cm cut. This was in the pipe on drivers side under the fog light. Or you can go all out and get the redline stuff for nearly $200 and get rid of the roll over and chatter noise.......if you have any. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeh..... where do you get that from? stupid chatter. My box is always bad when cold. Smooth as silk for a box that can handle 450 + NM of torque could be when its warm though.
  11. If somebody would come up with a design that had vents without the buldge, I'd be down. For me the buldge is 8 cyl. Vents/Indents = TURBO And in carbon fibre so its light and I can paint it in body colour.

    I agree, it not at all worth upgrading from a BA. Its a bit naive though, to suggest that they shouldn't slap a new model designation onto a vehicle with only minor revisions. Been done many many times before, and not just by Ford. EF-EL anyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dont be so niaive! The EL was a HUGE improvement over the EF. Although it didnt SHOW on the outside as much, the improvements ran deap. The 6SP Auto would be enough to make me upgrade, not only is the car going to be faster, its going to be SOO much more fuel efficient. Only thing, I JUST bought a new car. Once every 4/5 years is enough. BAH!
  14. Hi there, I have a MKII 6SP manual. As for refinement - excellent, bar one point; manual transmission & diff. Dont buy a Manual MKI or II if you want the kind of refinement suited to old people in Avalons and Maximas. I got over it and I drive around the constant banging by getting to know when it does it and avoiding it. The auto would have been a better choice if it wernt for the fact that there is only 4 gears. I like lots of gears Seriously, if your worried about fuel, dont buy the T. Youll regret it. It will ruin the experience. If you want to have fun, you be giving it a fair bit of squirt, and it will drink. In my opinion, I got over the small short comings to know 90% of cars will be looking at my rear end 100% of the time. Happy hunting.
  15. I think the high pitched 'squeek' you seek is the Blitz Super sequential BOV. Better to find someone with one and ask 'em what they have.. XR6T comes with bov standard, and with slightly raised boost, they 'flutter' or 'gobble' quite loudly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm running stock boost with a BMC filter and mine gobbles like a turkey all the time over 3500rpm. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So does mine! Mines manual. Flutters from anywhere above 2 grand so soon as it spools and you pull off the throttle.

  18. I dunno about you, but my SP6 manual does : ~65 in 1st ~100 in 2nd. I havnt looked past there.
  19. Hey mate I have the same problem, over 80kph. Worse when cruising and off throttle though... Mine is stock. The dealer has replaced the tail shaft twice to no avail. Ill be going back shortly.....
