agreed, development costs and manufacturing costs outweigh the return. Ford AUS was lucky to get an I6 Turbo into Barra in the first place, let alone complicating it even further.

That is absolutely fantastic. It's really good to see the effort put into petrol engines FINALLY getting into LPG cars. You should try and take it on a DYNO back to back with a stock petrol, see how it compares. So does it run DUEL fuel then? I'd be more interesting to see a dedicated LPG turbo.....

The two "other" 6 pot sedans - read Mitsu 380 & Toyota AUrion - are slated to get supercharged versions next year. Exciting times ahead for 6 pot performance. Personally, people are wondering how the 200kw aurion handles itself with FWD, let along a torque thumping supercharged version. All I can hear is "computer limited torque for gears 1 & 2" ala Mazda 3 MPS. Without AWD, I wouldn't choose one of these. Its a pity cause the 380 concept looked understated yet aggressive. I think due to the sales success of the Turbo, Falcon has this segment licked. The bean counters will be happy to fund development on the '08 Falcon turbo Late model camira will be the only make without a performance 6 pot, unless it finds a home for the HFV6 Twin Turbo in commodore!

No, these cars, when compared to falcon/comodore of SIMLIAR specification are exactly the same price, problem is you have to buy them in their home countries - or wherever tax's laws favour them..... BMW and Mercs are used as taxies. So are SAABs and Volvos. Whats even more scary is how much better they are for, realistically, the same price

Exactly. The BA 6T are completely reliant on the computer to control just about everything. Absolutely no benefit of an engine based mods until and edit is made IMO, which is further supported by the fact the edit alone does so much.

Yeh ive been using it for at least a month or so now - cant tell the difference at all.... mind you there is WAY less soot on the rear exhaust pipe.

I've got premo's too and after about 2 - 3 hard stops (from 100 to almost stopped) they shudder very lightly with an awful noise - sounds like an aeroplane.

hi all, has anybody seen an issue where there is no signal coming from the sub? I've plugged a different sub into it - no joy. I actually went out and bought another sub (jbl) to replace it thinking - its a piece of crap that's why its so quiet - only to find the new one doesn't work on the same plug also. I *just* got the car back from 2 weeks at the dealer for warranty issues, and I get it back with more sh~t to deal with. I'm so annoyed. I really don't want to have to take it back again.. any ideas. cheers.

Mate, seriously, the way things are going with big car sales, I would be surprised if even Orion doesn't get a new V8. If it wern't for the 80 mill the government stepped in with in May, Orion would have been a face lift - yep same doors as the AU. AU was such a big f'up and now with sales dropping like flies, you may need to get used to a very second rate V8 in the falcon line up, let alone competitive with the LS2.
