hey guys, bought my standard auto ba xr6t not long ago, and you know the drill, mates wanna go for a ride etc, theres that 1 bloke who doesnt say too much except ''it goes good for a stocker''. my cars fully optioned, ''its a bang for buck of a car for 13k'' I told him and he says yeah its pretty good. Then BANG!!! 2 weeks later the bastard rocks up to my house, tells me to come outside........ he's sold his 4x4 hilux and bought a 2008 VE GTS black, black leather and hes covered a badge on the boot with his hand and says suprise!! and reveals the 317 badge. what he doesnt know is that I have a few parts in the boot waiting to be installed that'l make him wish he kept the hilux, with these mods I will probably exceed the power needed to beat him down the 1/4 but what is the minimum to make sure I win?

188ite, like you said, take it to the track and see how you go, u'll be suprised..... Then you cant get a fat intercooler setup if you want more.

Im with you, the sound of a six will NEVER sound near as good as a lumpy v8 with exctactors and twin exhaust dumped at the diff. But the sound of the turbo spooling is something else. For me, only nessessery exhaust mods for power gains.

well done, was a very nice car! I agree, safety, a nice smooth ride, then having the right mods to support the power. I get 3 tunes, what should they be set at? standard, 270rwkw, 300rwkw? My mate before he sold his car with pretty much my exact mods had safe 250rwkw, street 300rwkw and race 360rwkw. around town drove around on street tune, then when he decided to race at WSID on race tune blew his box 3/4 track and run 12.07et!

alot of different combinations for power. some tuners say u only need this for that power, where the other tuner requires few extra mods for the same power.

well that's a good sign for CMS! must be doing something right! gsd112, your I/cooler still in my boot havnt touched it since. hahaa

hey fellas, ive gathered up a few parts for my 03 BA XR6T auto... PW Stage1 I/cooler PW surge tank and bosch 044 seimens deka 60 flow matched to 1% typhoon 2nd intake with KN panel filter when I take to tuner I will get... high flow cat sct tuner with 3 tunes heavy duty valve springs. what power can I expect with these mods? My biggest concern is who to take it to for tune? ive narrowed it down to Autotech, CMS, CV Performance who are similar priced. Anyone with similar mods with GOOD experiences/recommendations WITHOUT bagging anyone as im only interested in POSITIVE feedback. cheers.

searched up a few threads and 99% of the fix was needing new coils.

mate, same thing happening to me at the moment but only in 2nd gear, mines a stock ba xr6t 100,000km auto, get to about 3500rpm and ta ta ta ta ta ta power on/off struggleing to get near 5000rpm, exactly like you said , as if traction control is on. New plugs didnt change it. been told could be coils, loose bolts on turbo/dump or exhaust manifold, cat's gone. if it is valve springs.... its a good start to performance mods!

I know the injectors fit right it, is it just a case of taking off the intake piping etc? how long to take oldies out and siemens in?
