  1. Just purchased a gate for the EFR setup that will come shortly. Didnt want to but couldn't resist the discount [emoji106]
  2. Yeah, was one of the first things I did. It's plastidip too, so it's tougher than paint [emoji106]
  3. Az, I am using the bracket already [emoji106] Just want to move it out a little from the strut with a better bracket. FP has been dialled in to perfect 4 bar base, was a little low when I installed the whole setup, prob on account of the larger return. Gotta log some fuel trims over the next few days and start tweaking from there [emoji108]
  4. Well wasn't today, but yesterday ? Fitted these little beauties so I can finally control the fuel pressure properly [emoji106] Thanks to Jet for the rail hardware hookup! I only had 5 hose clamps for the 400 series hose, and also had to just cable tie the reg where it is for now... Just need to make a nice stainless bracket up to get it lookin schmick.
  5. Yeah any less and I'm not compensating enough, lol [emoji108]
  6. So we're finally getting close to securing some land. 1500sqm, rectangular and pretty much flat. In a new estate with fiber NBN also [emoji106](the important things). Had a meeting with the council today to make sure my 14x8m shed wouldn't pose any issues. Just have to speak with the developer again and then will lock it in Eddie! Looking forward to building soon, will make sure I check out all the stuff in this thread to get some ideas. Realistically though, as long as the shed has a hoist, I don't care! [emoji41]
  7. should have used the link I just created with them all zipped....
  8. Ok, so all credit goes to nubexr6t but this might be easier for everyone http://www.filedropper.com/fgworkshopmanuals (mod edit: link broken)
  9. lol, am doing it the hard way now...
  10. Anyone got a pro mediafire account that could bulk download them and re-zip and upload to a 'decent' hosting service?
  11. @JETURBO did you want to PM me a price? I noticed they dont charge any more for the black ones. Are they powder coated or annodised?
  12. Hi Guys, So I've decided to go with an aftermarket reg and now need a custom fuel rail to go with it. Just wanted peoples opinions on which out of the Process West and Plazmaman were the best? Interested in fittement and also finish. Also if anyone's had the anno black ones from either, did they start to fade over time with heat as most of the cheaper ally stuff does? Cheers, Rob
  13. All good if not jetters, will just exchange it [emoji106]
  14. I basically thought that I'd go the larger so that I could go -8 lines natively down the track if needed. I was just going to run some -8 to -6 adapters for the meantime. Are they really that bad when it comes to lower flow at regulating the pressure? Surely that putting in the -6 adapters will restrict the flow a little and make it manageable?
  15. This arrived to help me get the fuel pressure under control. Now just to decide on a rail. Which is better made and has better fittement, the PW or Plazzy?
  16. Yeah mine went 360ish before needing springs. Looks like it's got plenty of fuel in it too [emoji41][emoji106]
  17. All stock narrow bands should be 0-1v which is what I'd expect the Ford pcm is expecting?
  18. Yeah but you def need to config the innovate to the right voltages, as different tuning packages are expecting diff voltages. Does it list the voltages or setup when you select the innovate profile in the XCal? If not, I'm sure a quick few searches could find the voltages the XCal is expecting.
  19. Sounds like roll over noise to me...
  20. Cheers mate. It's been a real eye opener already and its only a day in... It really just blows me away that some of these workshops can tune like this and all is considered normal. Definitely the lack of feedback in the community back to tuners most likely due to lack of knowledge, understanding or tools (or combination of all) really has meant that any 'joe bloggs' can buy a HP tuners or SCT software package and call themselves a tuner.... I'm sure people like JET that see these things on a daily basis really does sometimes just ask, WHY!? I get that tuning a car is a time consuming process and that to do it right you'd need to charge more, but bloody hell! No problems mate, I realise you've actually got a business to run It hasn't hand grenaded yet, so I'm sure a few days won't hurt. Yeah I might look into this. I was thinking of just permanently mounting a remote sensor so that I can log live fuel pressure when I do decide to do some tuning. Could just wire it up to another analogue in on the MPVI. It's just a bugger they don't log it from factory in the PCM....! I do honestly want to almost start from scratch. I'm going tonight to my local guy who pulled the SCT off the car, so he should have the factory map that came out of the XCAL4 before being flashed to the wonderful land of HPT. If not, I'm sure the XCAL still has the stock tune stored on it? Or is that wiped once its un-married? Cheers, Rob
  21. So I took the plunge finally and my MPVI pro arrived yesterday Did some initial logging, and am trying to get the scanner setup with the right channels/limits and measurements of unit. Would be keen to know what everyone else logs, channel wise and what histogram graphs you're using to assist in your tuning. Looks like the ford computers are quite limited in the PID's that can be recorded compared to the likes of GM etc. I've managed to get the wideband all setup, just had to give it a slight -.2v correction to bring it as close to the gauge reading as possible. The only thing I messed up was initially using the WB's GND, not realising that it was earthed through the OBD2 connector. I'm still level 1 (goo goo, gaa gaa) stages with tuning but there's already lots of things that I can see that are wrong with my extremely limited knowledge.... For a start, at light cruise the STFT's were seeing in excess of +20%! Admittedly when we fitted the whole KPM in tank setup with reg etc, we didn't gauge the base pressure to see how it would adjust the injector scaling. CLEARLY it has. That's definitely my fault and I need to get a gauge on it quick smart. My ID high/low slopes are a little off according to ID data but I'll need to find my base pressure before I can correct any of that stuff. I would have thought KPM engineered the whole kit to retain stock 4 bar rail pressure (at least I think that's what the falcons use)?? I've also noticed a +17% adjustment on my LTFT's at idle, which is definitely indicating that somethings not right... I was thinking that maybe an vacuum leak (already suspected inlet manifold gasket) as I've developed a rather bad miss at idle since the pump setup and valve springs were installed. Either that or the base idle fuel pressure has gone through the floor for it to have to correct that much fuel at idle... I've also sent my tune to JET initially to take a look, he also pointed out some things kindly which were a big no no. Injector voltage offset data looks to have been zero'd. Knock retard had all but been disabled, with total timing influence taken down to 1deg I mean why do people do that!! Jesus... Keen to get some help from all you guys experience, as well as from the HP Tuners forums. If I can say one thing, it'll be great to finally take control of how the car drives into my own hands and not rely on any shop to give me some "hacked up factory tune that disables everything good" tune. Cheers, Rob
  22. Awwww yeah. Let the ping tune sagas begin!!! [emoji106] [emoji41] [emoji1]
  23. Mines the same as BAXRTUTE's. I think it's just the way these tremec's appear to be...
  24. Quick question guys, are the vct solenoids both the same?
  25. Yeah nice. I expected they would be awesome. Could you get a few more pics of the installation? Particularly how close the inlet is to the power steering pump etc.
