  1. That makes no sense! Its literally only there to quiet down the induction noise of the stock car. I'd be asking your tuner how the hell he can substantiate a loss of power by replacing the stock pipe. If anything it should be better as there is no gas speed loss with the solid pipe.
  2. I know they recommend the superpro comforts. Before I did the CAT600's I rang and spoke with Dave and that's what he said they fit. He commented that he personally wouldn't put the superpro solids in if it was his car...
  3. Yeah 11.5 @ 400rwkw doesn't sound right unless its manual. What mph? What's it like now on the street with 400?
  4. From my investigations for my own car they recommend changing the exhaust at around 320-330rwkw. Again, you could prob make more power than this without it but the back pressure on the turbine wheel becomes counter productive and pushes the turbo a bit too hard. Obviously when putting on a whole system, wastegates need porting to control boost due to the more free flowing nature of the larger exhaust.
  5. What about wave trac's when they finally get released! [emoji2]
  6. I can categorically say that since installing the CAT600 bushes, I've had ZERO axle tramp!!
  7. I guess it's what your used to though. In my opinion my F6 doesn't feel fast at all but people get in it now and think it rockets. To me you don't have power unless you can roll on and chalk lines down the freeway [emoji6]I just hope that very high 300's will get me close.
  8. Yeah that's why I've waited, so that I can do it all at once. Hoping to make 360-380 with the first round of mods. Its hard to gauge though, different cars need different power levels to feel fast. I have a feeling that over 400 in an FG is when it starts to "feel" quick. I remember a mates vl that had 340rwkw and it was mental back in the day. 340 in these I've heard doesn't feel that fast at all. I realise its mostly the weight that makes the diff. Obviously the power curve and boost ramp makes some difference also. What does everyone reckon is a genuinely fast feeling number in an FG? To the OP, save some more coin and get a tune, injectors and cat like the guys mentioned. Should go highish 200's with that.

Speaking to Simon at Nizpro and he seems to disagree. He said they can normally see low 400's on pump with the stock F6 pump but get the occasional one that plays up and needs to be changed at a lower power figure.
  10. Still pretty sh*tty to be honest... Really want to get it sorted as its pretty extreme.I'll be calling into pedders hopefully tomorrow to get their opinions.
  11. Were all 3 of your bushes nolathane? If I'm not mistaken, this usually occurs because people only change the rear bush and the front 2 can't cope with the torque loading on the diff and transfer it all to the much stronger and rigid rear bush. To the OP, I've got much of the same problem with mine at the moment. Went with CAT600 bushes and there's some serious knocking going on in the rear end. I don't fully blame the bushes, more so the turkeys at ford who installed them... Its noticeably worse when warm (indicating diff). I get the same harmonics it sounds like you're getting at a particular part of the rev range and what sounds like constant knocking even under light load. It gets really bad when clutching, again most likely pointing to diff. I've not got it on a hoist yet but want to very soon. Sounds like the rear end is destroying itself! I've filmed the rear nolathane bush with the gopro to see if its moving (which it wasn't), I'll post the footage up on the weekend. I might try and do some in car filming of the noises also for you to compare.
  12. I've got CAT600 bushes in my car and filmed them the other day. Moves even less than the last video. I'll post it up if people are interested?
  13. I've heard they're actually quite good. And that source wasn't related to Nizpro at all... Nizpro have also stated that they're good for over 500rwkw. Might I ask what you know about them being not so great?
  14. Yeah its a bit over 10k. The 2+ kit is 8995 I think and the battery relo is around 1800 with intake. Its so exxy because it includes an odyssey battery. Not really fussed with the cost as the whole lots has been emissions tested and certified if I ever get picked on by the boys in blue.I actually had a conversation with Simon about fuel pumps yesterday and he said they typically don't see issues with most F6's on pump fuel until over 400. Maybe the surge would be not warranted for the lower power. I'm just gonna play mine by ear and see how it goes on the dyno. It may need valve springs, again apparently they're hit and miss when your in the high 300's. Check above. Some consider it mega expensive, but all in all they've been fantastic to deal with so I'm happy for the good service thus far. Simon certainly knows his sh*t.
  15. Sounds about the right mods to get that power figure. I've got my F6 booked in for a stage 2+ package @ Nizpro plus turbo side intake in 3 weeks. The stage 2+ kit consists of: - Tune & xcal4 - Cooler and piping - Injectors - Turbo port and upgraded actuator - 4" full stainless system Power estimate for that kit is around 360rwkw. With the filter and battery relo, should be around 370-380 ish.
  16. Guys, Any idea what rwkw figure the stock FG F6 fuel pump is good for? I couldn't seem to find an answer anywhere. I do know they're diff from the XR6T's just by how much? Cheers, Rob
  17. I'm thinking the same thing. These bushes are pretty harsh for NVH. I picked it up from ford and was a little shocked by the new noises I was hearing. My diff has a little whine also, more prominent at 110+ km/h speeds. Under that its fine. The car sounds like its got a system on it at the moment with more droning etc throughout the cabin. My concern is the knocking noises which appear to be when the car is warm, even under cruise loads where there should be no backlash... It clunks and bangs quite regularly now. Just on backlash, it is bloody noisy now! Had it up on the hoist last night to see if they'd forgotten to tighten stuff, all looks ok. It's definitely much more harsh than stock. I rang Dan the other night and had a good chat to him, sounds like there might be other issues with mine as he said he can barely notice the diff on his car over stock & I trust what he says. Hard to think that a 27,000k car would have stuff buggered already though. I'll book it into somewhere that really knows suspensions & drivelines and see what they have to say. Either way went for a bit of a spin out the road & the axle tramp is completely gone! At the moment its hard to justify the trade off though. I mean no axle tramp is great, but the noises are pretty bad & the car is my daily driver. I filmed the rear bush last night with the gopro to make sure the diff wasn't moving fore/aft in the cradle. All looked good & pretty rigid. I guess I could live with it once I've got a system on the car and know that its no going to break. All stock though, it def seems a little harsh but again I can't shape a correct opinion until someone that knows this sh*t inside and out says that what I'm hearing is normal. Could be something else in my setup that's amplifying my knocking / noise issues. Check above dude. Work in progress I think...
  18. Yeah I did. Went with Dan's recommendation. Yeah he seems to know his sh*t. I've only heard great things about his stuff. Hopefully the turnips at ford follow his installation instructions and fit them properly.... I'll let you know my thoughts tomorrow night!
  19. My CAT600's get installed tomorrow. I'll be sure to post up my thoughts once I've taken it for a spin!
  20. Guys, For those of you with oil pressure gauges, just wondering what readings your seeing for oil pressure for the following: Cold start: Cruise: Idle when warm: Cheers. Rob
  21. I fitted my stealth kit yesterday. What a PITA that was! I also used a bit of thread sealant on the stainless fitting into the turbo just to make sure it was OK. I don't think its an issue as long as its only on the threads. What did piss me off is that the earls filter leaked! Of all the things.... And it leaked on the entry side where the top seals with the cylinder (alloy washer), which doesn't even appear to undo... Anyone else have this problem? I've tried to tighten and open it that end but seems impossible. Ive dismantled the outlet end no worries and it seals fine.
  22. So I got onto Dan (CAT600) and ordered a set of his bushes. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I should have them fitted with a few weeks.
  23. Thanks mate. Just flicked him a pm on Facebook and also the ford forums which he visits more regularly. Not stalking at all, lol!
  24. I've pm'd him but noticed he's not been on here for a while. I don't have enough posts on the ford forums to pm him yet. Reading about them makes me want to try them if I can. Very little NVH with heaps of support [emoji41] Would you honestly recommend it for a daily driver? I'm anal about vibrations and knocks!
  25. Bit of a thread revive but I really need some help with this from people that have already experimented. My F6 rear diff bush is buggered and ford are happy to replace it under warranty before it runs out in a month. I've already spoken to them and they said they'll fit aftermarkets if I buy them So I've got to pretty quick smart, make my mind up on what's going in there. I've also got a package booked in with Nizpro in a month, so I wanna make sure its sorted before then. From all the reading I've done, the general consensus is go the superpro comforts. When I saw this vid though, I must say it turned me off a little!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lapIsBPm66A Almost looks like its not installed fully? My options are: Superpro (either comfort series or rigid) Whiteline Pedders (similar to whiteline design) CAT600 custom K-Mac (are the most expensive but are a rose joint design) I'm not super worried about a bit more NVH than stock, I don't want the diff howling through the booth though if I can help it. I'd like the car to be a quick streeter with around 400rwkw in the end. It is also manual BTW (although I baby it a fair bit) Suggestions from those who have tried some of the above? Cheers, Rob
