  1. My box is the same. Have been told its completely normal by ford engineer. Tolerances vary from box to box, but I'd definitely be looking at changing the oil to something different or checking its capacity. It really disheartens me also, as its not spot on where I'd like it to be. I'll be experimenting with the above once I get the diff sorted and some E85 in the tank! [emoji16]
  2. I agree with snake. Never got the whole idea of quad tips on a booster... Looks chit if you ask me. Leave it to the 8 cylinder boys.
  3. You'll love it. I love mine [emoji3] So worth the money.
  4. CAT600 diff bushes + wait for the Moser wavetrac. They not torque biased like the Harrop or Eaton unit [emoji6]
  5. Sounds like normal roll over noise these boxes make. They can be quite loud depending on what oil is in them. Mines noticeably louder when warm.
  6. Yeah I'll be changing mine a little more often although I'd like to think a new center will be in before long [emoji6] On a side note, got some awesome new today. A new united servo is getting built where I live and they are getting E85!![emoji38] Gonna be back for another tune prob around Chrissy. Bring on 400rwkw... Will be cutting and polishing the car hopefully this weekend so I'll try and get some pics of it up as a before and after [emoji2]
  7. I'm from Albury / Wodonga and will be there. Most likely driving my car down to spectate though.
  8. I used the full synth castrol stuff SAF-XA which is also for lsd's. I'll have to rebuild the diff though as the noise will eventually drive me crazy... Bring on a Moser wavetrac I say! You're right about the manuals being hard on the diff's. My diff used to tramp so hard the thing sounded like it was coming through the rear floor pan! Wet or dry weather made no diff! Its awesome now [emoji41]
  9. I'll try and get a video of my Nizpro turbo side intake... Its pretty bloody loud, lol. I think I'll be putting some sound deadener in the plastic surround to keep it a bit quieter. People look at it like "WTF!" And that's just driving it normally, not getting up it!
  10. Went and priced some ATR Sport 2's today locally and they're $149 fitted a tyre. Thinking I'll go with them and see what they're like for that price. Any other recommendations?
  11. Come to think of it there was a car at Nizpro last week (N/A) where the owner swapped a turbo motor and box into. They were having all sorts of PCM issues, even with the turbo computer... They were running into boost control issues also. Not sure what the outcome was, I just know it was a major headf*ck. I don't think that transplanting these engines is as easy as first thought...
  12. Jesus the power falls off in the top end... Surely that can't just be related to springs? Tune looks dodgy to me... Chin up mate. I know exactly how you feel. I've got the worst luck ever and have even had a bad run with my current car with warranty claims, ford damaging my car etc etc. Just take a step back for a while, re-assess and then got to a REPUTABLE tuner to get it sorted. You'll have done your cash if you just sell it off. It sounds like its bloddy close to getting it right, just hang in there!
  13. Its def not as quiet as stock, but its the price you have to pay for something that won't break. I wouldn't call it super harsh and is completely tolerable (car is my daily). When the car was stock all I noticed was the odd clunk, knock and some slight diff whine. Remember it does highlight any other potential issues in your drive line though that would normally be masked by the stock bushes. My diff it turns out, has a rather large amount of backlash... Once I change it, im sure the whole setup would be bloody close to stock in terms of noise. For an auto, they would be even less harsh. Now I've got the 4" on, its really a non issue. Obviously being manual, you can still hear the odd clunk.Worth the price though as I now get ZERO axle tramp in any conditions. See above Yeah it is, I think that Dan's bushes are a great compromise for strength and harshness. Superpro comforts are waaay to soft and simply won't handle the abuse. Nolathane all around on the other hand are too harsh...
  14. Yeah pretty bloddy good. I've worked out what's causing it, its the diff backlash. I changed the oil today and it's improved somewhat but won't be completely solved until I put a new center in it. I'll hold out for the Moser wavetrac I think. Its barely noticeable to me now, specially because of the Nizpro symphony going on, lol.
  15. Already onto it [emoji1] Hoping to get one shot in the next couple of days!
  16. Here's a quick vid I shot of the CAT600 bushes around a month ago...
  17. Here's a quick vid I shot about a month ago of my CAT600 bushes:
  18. changed my diff oil today as its got some serious noises coming from the diff. I don't drive the car hard at all but think these manuals are a lot harder on the driveline that first thought. It's done 29,000 kays and I've owned it since new. The oil that came out looked like poo brown with a very fine metallic fleck in it... I'd say a moser wave-trac will be on the cards sooner than I thought. The castrol oil on the other hand has made a considerable diff in noise, so hopefully my diff thanks me for a while!
  19. In all fairness guys this was a housing straight out of their inventory, I didn't see if they fully welded it up before putting it on. It was more so I could get an idea of the port sizes.
  20. Completely normal. They retain the readings when switched off, then zero & calibrate on power up. [emoji6]
  21. Hey guys, Well my car finally got tuned last week by Nizpro after waiting nearly 3 years for the warranty to run out. My car is a 2011 Silhouette in manual trim, with black leather interior. Up until this point, it was bone stock other than some gauges and a turbo oil filter and it remains as my daily driver . I ended up getting the following mods done over a 2 day period: Nizpro polished cooler kit Nizpro turbo side intake and battery re-location (included dry cell odyssey style batt) Nizpro 4" full staino system ID1000 squirters Nizpro wastegate port and flapper mod XCAL4 Ended up turning to 354rwkw on around 17 pounds of boost. Pretty darn happy with that. I have asked simon a few questions though as the figures are a bit lower than the shots I took of it on the dyno. For instance my stock run peaked at 260rwkw and on the printed out chart, only showed 247rwkw so not sure why there's a diff from when they did the runs? I think it made 360ish on the high power runs. I realise their dyno is a pretty hard marker, but from all the reading I've done that power sounds about right for those mods. I'll scan some charts and show you what I mean about the diff from the actual runs to the print outs on the last day. It's pretty hairy now, as rolling on in 3rd just torches the tyres!! I look forward to getting some E85 soon (not available at all where I live) and see if we can break the the 400 barrier and run a 10. As the car sits now though, its stacks of power as my daily and I really love the new note its got. That and the insane torque gain makes it such a nicer car to drive! Their 4" stainless system is pure sex and sounds absolutely amazing!! Worth every cent if you ask me. It doesn't drone what so ever at freeway speeds, and really sounds throaty and nasty when you're on the loud pedal. I think I'll be putting some sound deadening in my race intake though, to keep the fuzz from constantly pulling me over Pics and some charts to follow Cheers, Rob
  22. I took some photos at Nizpro last week when they did mine. First 2 is the stock housing, second 2 is the modded change over version.
  23. Got mine from amazon. Was the cheapest I could fine anywhere.
  24. It will fit but you'll have to cut out the back of the pod to make it fit. Why would you want a mech one anyway? The elec ones work perfectly.
  25. Either that or msg him on Facebook. Should be under bluestreak performance.
