  1. I guess that old tendencies tend to suggest that a surge tank is required after certain power levels. This is almost null and void these days with products like the kpm intank surge setup. Pros for a surge: - can make heaps more power safely - can have pump redundancy - rail pressures never fluctuate due to high volume pump never not having a constant supply of fuel, even under hard cornering & acceleration - similar to point above but injectors will never have a lean patch due to pumps scavenging for fuel - fuel can become cooler on some setups due to less pump thrashing Con's: - expensive - generally illegal - more complicated fueling system Again, I think that the kpm style systems are the solution, as its essentially the best of both worlds. Only cost being an issue...
  2. Thanks mate! [emoji3] I always try to look after my gear as best I can, keeping things well maintained, clean etc. Hopefully it helps me out in the long run.
  3. Here's a vid from a few weeks ago after a polish!
  4. I used my gopro 3. Stuck a mount to the spare wheel tub [emoji6] I reckon these will be quiet. I think all my noises that I've been complaining about with the CAT600 bushes have been diff related...I don't think you can go wrong with his bushes. With his outers being so solid, the middle had very little preload on it and hence won't break the bolt.
  5. I might be keen [emoji41] I only live an hour north of Winton and could maybe meet everyone there?
  6. I vaguely remember speaking to Simon @ Nizpro about this before I had mine modded. They're def not linear. I'm sure he makes them linear or as close to it with tuning. My car had way too many mods done at once to be able to say that was the improvement I noticed in light throttle position. Maybe speak to a tuner to get the tables they use.
  7. Completely agree! Not to forget that they're legal!
  8. In short, yes they dim through the earth circuit. I grabbed the illumination positive from the plug at the top of the ICC by using a test light. Couldn't find the earth for dimming so ended up making a small jiffy box with pot to control voltage. I can get some pics if you like although there are plenty of threads where this is discussed.
  9. Nice work. I'm making the switch to E85 to hopefully break the 400 barrier also in the next few months [emoji41] I think you'll do it easily.
  10. Great work, enjoy the new power! Not doubting Simons talents at all but maybe his dyno reads a little higher than most? Kind of like the one at Nizpro which reads quite harshly - however very accurate. I think lots of dynos read high around the traps, which is why the numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. As everyone has said, run it at the strip and the MPH won't lie. A dyno is purely a tuning tool, its shouldn't be read into too much!
  11. Who cares how noisy an 044 is when all they're rated to on ethanol is 500 hrs. I think these in a kpm surge is the way to go for set and forget. [emoji6]
  12. Told you they sound like sex with the nizzy system [emoji6]
  13. Yep you should make that. My FG F6 has roughly the same amount of mods and went 360 on one of the runs. In the end 354 was the final number it settled on.
  14. Yeah the man has a point. I know you said you were a V8 guy, but this will be seriously dangerous. Not saying you can't handle it, but if its your first decently powered car I'd prob wind it up gradually. [emoji2] Would just hate to read about a death on the forums after you get it back...
  15. Yeah its sounds sh*t in the vid, its not that bad in real life. Its is actually pretty quiet 90% of the time. Seems as though sometimes it compounds and is bad for a minute or so, then goes away... Kind of like when its hunting at idle a bit. sh*thouse bridgestone sp sport max. Still the factory tyres [emoji6]Still had the TC on as well, so didnt fry em hard like it does with it off. Heheheh
  16. Put this up yesterday to show some guys what the Nizzy 4" sounds like: On a side note, a guy wants to buy my stock F6 injectors and cooler. What do you reckon would be a good price for both? I was thinking $500?
  17. Yeah 4" from the turbo back. Twin 100 cell cats, magnaflo resi and 2 mufflers. Car goes OK, although I can't really show it properly being "legal" hahaha. Yeah I agree. Its really hard to try and get on film. The gopro mics are pretty sh*t. I could have done a bit better but wanted to get home and relax for the arvo [emoji6]
  18. Ask and you shall receive Just knocked this together today. Apologies for the audio quality, its a bit sh*tty. Sounds much better in real life. Still should give you an idea though
  19. The FG system does include an additional resi vs the older BA/BF system. This was because the FG's were louder in the cabin according to them, so went with the extra magnaflo.I've got a Nizzy 4" system on my FG F6 and I love it. Doesn't drone one bit! In fact it gets quieter when warm. I've said it before but its worth every penny! Mine is a manual though, the auto could be a little worse. I still wouldn't think its anywhere near the droney point though. Its remarkably quiet at freeway speeds. Everyone that's heard my car comments on the nice note its got too!! [emoji1] I'll pit a video up if people are interested.
  20. I know in my discussions with Nizpro they're definitely considered to be the sh*t for a street turbo. Boost comes on tiny bit sooner than a 3582, and heaps more top end than a gtx3582. The Ti exhaust wheel makes spool much better for the size frame of turbo they are. That and the bov, speed sensor, and surge is all built into the cover.
  21. Looks ok to me! They're basically saying they'll cover it no matter how badly you treat it as long as you don't install it in the wrong vehicle, modify it or have it installed incorrectly. They even state that racing is fine. More than most people would ever elude to on their warranty card & Moser are a very reputable company. And in all seriousness, these centers are in cars with 5x the power of ours and have ZERO issues. It's a complete moot point if you ask me.
  22. I believe the issue all comes down to tolerances. I think Mal Wood can do a blueprint for not too much & from what I've read, completely eliminates the issue. I'll be looking at sending him my box to give it the once over in the not too distant future. Most likely when I put a twin plate in [emoji2]
  23. The wavetrac doesn't wear. Its like the ultimate trutrac which also comes with a lifetime warranty.
