  1. Yeah every where else it pulls like a freight train. It's just as you said, doesn't shift hard between 2 and 2. Mk1 and mk2 have different limiters, mk2 6000 and mk1 5500 I think. Maybe that's how they are
  2. I'm sure they should drop to a higher rev range in second?
  3. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is even a problem, but tell me what you think. FG mk2 zf turbo. When under WOT from a stand start, letting the car wind right out till redline in 1st (regardless of D, perf, or manual mode) once the engine revs out and throws to second gear, the revs seem to drop lower than normal. For example 5500-6000 rpm back down to 3000rpm. It feels as thought there's a brief pause or struggle building the revs back up to boost. Only 1st to second. It's very smooth doesn't feel bad, I just remember the car grabbing second much quicker than it is now, it's almost like a manule gear box with a driver that can't shift. Could it maybe even be ZF RELATED? Low fluid or something? Any ideas much appreciated
  4. I have an FG mk2 turbo, just hit 30,000km. On idle, it usually drops down to 500rpm when it should be on 650 or so. Sometimes it gets a bit shaky and I'm putting this down to the oil. Here's why and any input is welcomed! First oil change I used a Penrite fully syn 10-40w. At 7500km that's when I noticed the idle. But under acceleration it performs as it should to a T! At 15000km I changed to Castrol edge 10-60w. The idle problem had completely disappeared but I did notice under throttle the engine seemed slightly sluggish in certain rev ranges. I've now changed the oil back to nulon 10-40w fully syn and it feels quicker, than ever. But the lumpy idle is back. Is it just me or could the oil be the problem. I've been advised by numerous mechanics its not the case. But there's plenty of evidence backing up my theory.
  5. Ok thanks
  6. It's someone else's though?
  7. As above would anyone with a BA and fg brembo kit like to swap my BA brackets for fg ones
  8. As above would anyone with a BA and fg brembo kit like to swap my BA brackets for fg ones
  9. I have brackets to swap. Text me if still need. 0415518520
  10. I bought 6pot brembos from a BA for my fg too. Same issues. Apparently, fg brackets will go on previous models as they are larger, but BA brackets won't suit the fg being smaller and not aligning properly. I tried, with my mechanic swapping and flipping left To right and they still didn't line up. I need to buy fg brackets to suit. Then the next step is swapping the bleeders with the pipe on the caliper from top to bottom. The next issue is apparently, the pipe won't fit being swapped so a custom one needs to be fabricated. Hope this helps as there are alot of mixed opinions and no definite answers. If anyone wants to swap BA brackets or fg pm me

    Brembo Help!

Yeah mate pretty sucky. I got them for a great price so if ended up Having to spend that 600 I'd still be on top. However forking out that much for two bits of metal is criminal. I was told though swapping the brackets around would for the fg. I guess not the case. If I got those brackets, is there anything else you know of that ill need?

    Brembo Help!

Hey there. I've purchased some 6 pot brembos to fit to my fg. They are from a BA, my issue is the brackets don't fit to the fg. Does anyone know where I can find these brackets. Finding a set someone is willing to separate from is unlikely. Can anyone point me in the right direction. There is a place in melbourne (where I'm from) that makes them but at $600 the pair! Cheers
  14. I know the rears will fit. Especially at stock height with rolled gaurds. I've got 18x10 with a +22 offset on the rear and are fine. That's on an FG. However I did get these wheels off worm and he had them on his BA which also seemed fine. Not sure on the fronts but I don't see why not
  15. I paid 24k for a 2012 fg turbo mk2 with the zf auto. How you ask? It had hail damage on it. But stuff all! I wasn't looking at a new car, was happy with my bf N/A but couldn't resist the price. I'm a spray painter by trade so u got it looked at to have the hail dents removed. Cost me nothing through work and youd never know it had hail. WIN
  16. End of the day every manufacturer, and model of car has a particular bug and issue. The fords have their fair share if little annoying things. your nothing to deter you! The turbo is a mighty car and there are more good things than bad. Get one you won't regret it
  17. I've got a mk11 fg turbo now with 16,000km. It has a slightly rough idle but only sometimes. Revs don't drop or anything it's just annoying. My front passenger door trim is loose, the same window makes a quite ticking sound when winding down. Other than those things I'm pretty happy with it. My question is though, can you still claim warranty if you don't service the car through ford?
  18. Thanks mate. I've seen the icc mounted ones but the shape of mk1 is different to mk 2?
  19. Thanks guys! They look bloody awesome. I have a white mk2 fg xrt I think they'll look horn on it
  20. Hey guys looking at a set of these wheels in black. But has anyone got them and can post up pics witht them? Cheers!
  21. Hey guys. I have an fg mk2 xrt, and have been looking for the gauge pods either double or triple, but can't find anyone making them yet? Mk1 are different to mk2, anyone know about them?
  22. Don't want to sh*t anyone. But I bought my FG mkii xr6 turbo for $30,000! It's brand new! Not a demo. I love it. It's my first turbo as well. Reason for the price tag? It had hail damage. Seriously the most minor I've ever seen! I work as a spray painter so I got my work to PDR the dints. now you would never know! Good deals are out there!
  23. Change the diff oil. My old bf did that I dumped the oil and the noise vanished
