  1. Did the pictures I posted show?
  2. Hence once they start peeling it's pretty much it for them.
  3. Factory calipers aren't painted with your conventional 2pak. It's a very rubbery covering almost like a powder coat. These are some I did in 2pack with a ceramic clear. I didn't re-do the brembo logo at the time as I didn't have a stencil handy and just needed to get them on the car.
  4. Yep can be arranged.
  5. I'm in melbourne and can do it
  6. JET what is it exactly about full syn that does this? Do you use mineral?
  7. So arronm can full syn oil be ruled out?
  8. Why does the F6 flutter standard, and the xr6T (FG) doesn't. Intake/BOV appear to look the same. Firmer spring rate in the BOV?
  9. Could it also be related to full synthetic oils- some claim full-syn does this..

    Fgt Mk2 Questions

Sat nav is an option, and needs the module to run it. Then it can be loaded to the icc. They all have sensors with a display on screen but the camera is also an option. They have the same audio equipment as premium except for the sub. So 2 x pillar speakers. 2x front door x and 2 rear door speakers. Fpv/premium is the same but with parcel shelf sub.
  11. The temp sensor will need replacing. Cheap part you can get from ford. It's located in the passenger side mirror underneath. They tend to do that. Other issue could be an alternator fault
  12. how is it down low/mid range? I'm in an fg f6 now coming from a the baby turbo xr and I'm kind of missing that low down response from small turbo.
  13. You could be charged anywhere from $250 to $350. Some places could be more. But that's a ball park and leaning more towards $350.
  14. I've heard a few timing chains skipping a tooth which could mean larger dollars to fix. But if the car accelerates as normal and isn't wobbling the whole car side to side, it may just be the cars characteristic. These motors are common for sh*tty idles. All mine have done it.
  15. Burnt coolant/water usually has that pungent fish smell. If it's in the cabin it could be a heater/air con hose under the dash with a split in it or something
  16. Club fg taught me everything I know. Or don't know
  17. Asking on behalf of a friends car. It's a relatively new fg f6 with a zf. Anyway it seems to have an issue in the rear end. To best describe it feels like a slight knock, from the passenger side rear. More precisely from axel. It only does after a long drive or roughly 30 minutes into the car being warmed up. It'd almost as if there's a hesitation from that area or something preventing forward movement and it's only when rolling slowly from a complete stop ( taking off at the lights or around a cars park, or having the steering locked so the weight transfer is on that side). Kinda feels like a mini spool on one side lol. Other than that everything feels normal. LSD seems work fine and he zf shifts quite hard/firm for a stock car. Any ideas guys?
  18. Guys, I bought my fg mk2 turbo new it now has 35,xxxkm on it. It's first oil change was at 7500km using penrite 10 tenths, forgot the grade 10-40 or 50. The car seemed to feel a lot more responsive but on idle it was shakey used to sh*t me. I used this oil (full syn) upto 22,500km with 2 changes. From then I had Castrol edge sport 10-60 and it ideled so smooth it was great. But under acceration it felt sluggish as if the motor was strained. 5000km after that I'm now running nulon full syn 10-40 and it feels very responsive again. But now idles roughly from time to time.. So not sure I'm happy with the nulon. What should I run? Do my problems sound oil related? Many different mechanics and ford said they are all fine choices and not related but I'm sure they are. Should I give it a flush and start fresh with a new oil?
  19. My rocker cover was blistering and cracking. Warranty replaced as well as my tensioner as it was noisey. Fg mk2 T
  20. The car is almost 2 years old so would be due for fresh fluid now anyway
  21. Sorry they were bled, then topped up I'm assuming around 500ml. I'll give them time was just under the impression of id have massive wow factor difference
  22. The pedal feels soft with not much bite. Also note brake fluid wasn't changed just topped up.
  23. I just had some brand new brembo 6 pots fitted to my fg xrt. New rotors, pads the lot. What's the best way to break them in? So far I've taken it easy for the first 100km then started a bit heavier to get some heat into them. So far I can't hardly notice a difference to stock. Or should I just be patient as there's only 150km max on them. Cheers
  24. Yeah all valid points. I just remember it going harder. Only 33,xxxkm as well
